Everytime I come into Bari’s I always feel welcomed. I frequent here at least once a week for my order of fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers. At least that is my plan each time I head to there. I always leave there with much more than I intended. The sweet sausage with fennel always seems to just been made as I come in as if they are waiting for me :-). Not to mention their homemade pizza that sells out really quick. I definitely would recommend this place to anybody looking for the freshest products in this area.

No one in the Avenue U sells ground veal!!! Having checked all the Chinese Supermarkets and Stop & Shop, all they carried was Ground Beef, Ground Pork, Ground Chicken, and Ground Turkey. What about GROUNDVEAL??? Luckily, I was able to discover Bari Pork Store on the«West Side» and opted to take a venture to check out their offerings. The petite and modest sized location is one that means only business. Long time customers of Bari’s would frequently scream out their order, pay for their purchases, and leave. On a few occasions, a simple hello /how you doing were extended. Nevertheless, patrons are here to buy meat. And meat is what they got. I was in the mood to make meatballs. Having purchased both 93⁄7 Ground Sirloin and Ground Pork at another establishment, I was only missing the veal. Luckily, Bari’s had what I was looking for. The following is the dialogue that took place when at Bari’s. Please note, the entire transaction took about 2 minutes. Employee: Who’s Next? Chun: How much is the Ground Veal? Employee: $ 7.99 a pound Chun: Give me 1 pound of Ground Veal *Employee produces packaged Ground Veal slightly more than a pound Employee: Anything Else? Chun: Is that Ribeye? Employee: Yeah! Aged USDA Prime RIbeye. $ 12.99 a pound Chun: Give me a Single Cut, about 1.5 pounds *Employee produces packaged Ribeye Employee: What else? Chun: I’m good. What’s the total? Employee: $ 20.00 Even *Chun thinking he’s no math whiz but was glad he got the discount Simply put, no nonsense BS at Bari’s. You walk in, get what you need, and get out. The store itself has an excellent array of meat products ranging from the following… — Pork Chops: Center Cut & Tenderloin — Ground Beef: 80⁄20 and 90⁄10 variety — Steak: T-Bone, Ribeye, and Siroloin — Deli Meats: Mostly from Boar’s Head The store is worth checking out when seeking groceries for the next meat gluttony or BBQ. Needless to say, the next time I’m making meatballs, I’ll head straight to Bari’s!
