I would urge you folks to avoid this. If a business is going to try and pull off a fully automated approach(in other words they don’t answer the phone or email), they better have a a decent interface to do so. This doesn’t. It makes craigslist look like apple. Instead, I payed them $ 75 on paypal and never got the confirmation message I needed. When I tried to email them, I got canned auto responses. When I called, all I got was voice mail. If you’re trying to coordinate a band practice which can be complicated enough, avoid the extra headache of working with this shoddy operation.

It smells like old ham, stagnant sweat and stale beer. There is no natural light to be seen. The walls are thin, the doors to each room hardly keeping noise in or out. The rooms are snug and moderately expensive(mine’s listed as a 5×5 but it’s only 4.5×4.5). But the super for the building is super positive, and the vibe is good. You can also install your own shelving in the rooms. And there are far weirder and worse practice spaces to be found in the city. You can pay the rent with a credit card which helps both the artists’ cause and the bottom line of Visa and PayPal. We’re all allowed to sublet and self-manage the spaces, which is great for the entrepreneurial types. You do so at your own risk, of course. I am in my little fortress of solitude three times a week at least, beating my brains out and reclaiming a little sanity from living in this city. On the bright side, I’ve developed more strength in my wrists rather than playing from my arms because of the tight space.
