As a brooklyn college alum, I found this place headed home from Queens. 1st let me start by saying this dump has been shut down quite a few times by the board of health and mental hygiene. I ordered the kebab and is not afghan… its pakistani/south asian. The kebab had no flavor and the rice was bland. The kebab was so ridiculously spiced that you can nearly taste it… its a good way to mask no flavor by spicing people to death. To make things worse I feel ill a day after consuming this food. On aother note… Im sick of places that are halal and don’t even try to abide by health codes or even make an attempt at somewhat decent food. Save yourself a trip to the doctor and money… drive up the other side of coney island ave and go to sahara.

great taste and variety… nicely priced… I would like to go there again and again and wonder why no one in Chicago has thought of opening up a place like this!

Good stuff, and really great chicken kufta. love the brown fried rice afghan style and portions are HUGE! esp compared to their neighbors bahar… you could easily split one meal between two people. bread is delicious as well. but my review is only for takeout, i never sat in. Downside is that they are more of take out, fast food place. No restaurant feel, but thats ok – it’s hella cheap.
