Atomic Wings

NOTE: THIS PLACE APPEARS TO BE CLOSED. I walked by the other day and no sign of life. Given the reviews, I’m not surprised.

Don’t order from this place. They DO NOT have their act together. Tonight we ordered a bucket of wings. After 50 minutes we called, they told us its on the way. 20 minutes later we call, they say we don’t have any record of your order. Than to compensate me, they offered me 5 bucks off an order. Whoop-​de-​doo! 5 bucks… Give me a break.

I never been to a wing spot that doesn’t offer celery or carrots with the purchase of wings. The employees were rude & unhelpful. The wings were dry! I will never go back to this location again the only reason I went this time is because I had a groupon & I wanted to use it for the super ball. In the future I’m going to stick to my favorite wing spot Pluck U located in the west village.

Jerk chicken is my favorite.
Wings have been less meaty and sometimes overcooked lately.
Love their waffle fries and they are still good.

They gave our order to someone else so we had to wait an extra 20 minutes while it was re-​made. And they were rude about it. Got the order home and 1.) the sauces were wrong and 2.) the wings were all small with virtually no meat and broken bones.

Not that it means much but this is one of the better Atomic Wings that I’ve been to. When they are having a great cooking day, the wings are good with a crispy skin and a good thick sauce and a balanced sour vs heat flavor as should be for buffalo wings.
Sadly, the cooking is inconsistent and sometimes the wings are too dry, not crispy enough, or too sour from too much vinegar.
The wings are always on the small puny side too, needing to be meatier.
Recently, Atomic Wings added more flavors to their sauces. Honey mustard, teriyaki, jerk bbq, sweet and tangy, and chipotle bbq are new. We’ve tried the garlic Parmesan and could recommend that. It’s pretty fragrant in a good way.
I love my spicy flavors, the spicier the better, so I was pretty ecstatic that they upped the spice level by adding nuclear and suicidal. The suicidal was pretty intense, even with my high spice tolerance. 4 runny nose level. Too bad the one time I’ve tried it was when they made it too sour, negating the flavor.
The «onion fries» on their menu is what everyone else calls onion rings. Their version is nicely crispy and uses whole onions.
The sweet potato fries were a bit burnt around the edge. Otherwise it was ok. The waffle fries were good. Not more to say about it.
The place is very casual and have a good amount of seats and tables for those that want to eat in.
I am giving this place a two on their bad days and a three on their good days. 2.5 stars overall. If only they were more consistent.

Heat level of the hottest buffalo wings from a scale of one to five, five being the hottest. 4

No onion fries, no coleslaw, soggy sweet potatoes fries, wings were decent, no drum wings just the flat ones. Discount voucher was a plus, won’t go out of my way to go here again.

I walked in on a Thursday afternoon where the place was empty.
I got the bucket of 50 wings of half and half.
The wingless is pretty good.
I got the teriyaki sauce.
I’m surprised that they charged for celery and carrots which I thought was included.
Total came out to 43.54.

The sauces werent that greatly made here. Honey mustard was particularly very sour. The wings were very deep fried. The workers seemed very seedy. Wont be back.

Seriously. Do NOT get naked wings they literally taste like paper. These are the worst wings I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t believe I spent $ 20 bucks on this place. I will never ever EVER order from this place again. By the way you got two starts cause your waffle fries are pretty good.

Went here using LivingSocial deal on Friday night. Pretty empty which meant we could get our request granted to turn the TVs to the Blackhawks and Islanders game.
Food. The wings are OK. The flavors seem like they come from a pre mix and are not seared in like the best wings are. But it wasn’t lousy. And the wings were definitely cooked fresh. I was a bit disappointed that for an order of 50 wings we could only choose 2 flavors, but so be it.
Atmosphere. This is a basic diner setup. SOE booths and some chairs for the most part. But they do have several large TVs which get a very large amount of satellite sports, so you can probably find what you want. There are also 2 separate leather lounge chairs, a nice touch.
Bottom line is if you are close by and have a discount, this is a nice place. I spent an hour to get here which is more than its worth.
Five stars for the excellent attitude and TV accommodation by the staff. Three stars for the food. Settle on four stars because its a pleasant place, if not impressive.

Not very happy with this place at all today and it may be the deal breaker for me. I feel like the amount of money paid for the quality of food is not worth it. I love wings and they were good but stupid things like the size of the «large» soda, the size of the ridiculously overpriced Mac and cheese left something to be desired. Generally I don’t mind paying for quality food but for the price vs quality I feel I can do much better in a food filled park slope area. Probably wont be back here unless I crave some wings and for that I make my way to 200 Fifth for some real wings!

I have never been to the location, but I have ordered from them several times. All of the other times I had nothing to write about, the wings were decent, but this time…
My wings were incredibly dry, very little sauce. There was also very little meat. Like, I could see a large amount of bone on the wings. Wings are one of my favorite foods, but this is definitely not a place I will order from or go to again.
Side note– the Mac and Cheese is decent

Oh I had such high hopes for this location. Park Slope yo — your wings had better be spot — on. Sadly no. Their hottest wings were meh. Small ones too. Waffle fries were also not even «waffle» but steak fries — the best thing about them were actually the chili on top of it and I couldn’t find any jalapeño either. Avoid the wings. Ask if the waffle fries are indeed «waffles». And skip the onion rings as well.

This is my go-​to place for wings. I can order online (avoiding having to interact with people… I heart machines!) and the food gets there quick.
The food is okay; I usually get boneless wings and they are meaty and tasty. But what sets this place apart is the service. One time their online ordering system was down and I guess they could tell I tried to order and they called me and asked what I wanted! That was great.
Before the Super Bowl*, I placed my usual order and they called to say they were out of boneless and asked if they could send regular wings, to which I replied «But of course!». I thought that was cool and they were really nice and apologetic about it.
Much nicer than the Atomic Wings on Court Street, I give this my buffalo wing seal of approval.

* I will also note that I got emails from them the week before Super Bowl discussing specials and asking people to order early so they could plan accordingly. I guess they were still overwhelmed but they sure tried to make sure they had enough to go around.

It’s almost a law of nature. When men gather to watch other men grapple and gouge and tackle each other,* wings must be eaten.
And Atomic makes some eminently decent wings. They are even solid if you get delivery because nobody is willing to miss a down, and beer pong must be played at halftime.
And yes, the waffle fries are good because waffle fries are ALWAYS good.

*The Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by dominating on both sides of the oblong ball made of pigskin. It was a most ripping victory.

While it’s a chain, I will give them props for pretty big, thick/​meaty wings cooked to order. That said:
— the hot wings aren’t hot. Just mildly so. If you want hot, be sure to challenge them.
— the menu is cluttered. And there’s a yogurt/​ice cream joint mixed in. I would later find that the $ 6 combo meal would have ht the spot versus the 10 wing basic deal I chose.
— the place is completely void of character. Fill your own drink, clean your table, wait for food. It’s pretty much the McDonald’s version of wings.
Bottom line: Go down the street for better wings. Go to other places for cheap eats.

Atomic Wings always delivers, and this location is no exception.
I have never ordered out from here but have ate inside the restaurant and picked up from it.

I usually stick with the basic Mild or Medium variety, but if you’re interested, they have some disgustingly hot sauces. I wonder if anyone ever actually orders the «Suicidal» sauce except on a dare or Bet?

I came here for the fro-​yo, of the «wicked» variety. I’ve heard their wings are delish but I didn’t have time for that.
The fro-​yo on the other hand in mango tart with fresh strawberries and a crazy apostrophe-​looking handle for taste was delish on my walk up the street to work. I’d come back just for that alone. It was semi-​expensive for fro-​yo but I don’t care that much about 3 dollars versus 5.

*simple wings, nothing spectacular.
*it’s all about the sauce! The Suicidal Sauce is Insanely Spicy, it’s the highest level of spicy you could achieve at this place.
*comes with blue cheese dip, celery, and carrots.
*unfortunately, the sauce was either too watery or didn’t have enough taste.
*look for the orange sign if you can’t find the restaurant!
