Service is so bad in the 10 – 15 times I’ve come and the stuff is average. I wanted it to work out Bc its on the block but frustration at every step. Ordering, cashier and always 4 – 6 workers who don’t care

If I could give this place no stars I would. I’ve given this place so many chances and today was the final straw. Crappiest deli in the neighborhood do not waste your money on this place. First of all they messed up part of my order and delivered the wrong sandwich, and then the other sandwich I ordered was served on a burnt bagel. Bagel café can’t toast bagels? Surprising considering they’re so outrageously over priced for garbage quality food. I’ve ordered the same breakfast sandwich from this place before only because it’s convenient and I’m waking up in a hungover daze(which is the only reason I’d ever pay 6.50 for a BEC). Knowing the sandwich is going to have little to no bacon I pay extra and still get little to no bacon. Also their mayonnaise is watered down, which I didn’t know was a thing until I started ordering from this place. I hope this place goes out of business

Disrespectful and Rude. I went in there today, April 24th, at 8:10am to order a bagel with scallion cream cheese. As it was being made the guys behind he counter referred to me as «Chinito» even though I am not Chinese. Then when my bagel was ready it was handed off to the girl at the counter who looked me right in the eye and then turned around to do some nonsense with the espresso machine. I waited incredulously for a full minute before asking about the status of my order. The guy who made it checked in with the counter girl who simply said, «Uh huh.» Terrible terrible terrible.

This place is expensive but i mean look at the area its in. So this happens to be the place where we order from during the week just because its on the way on Atlantic Ave. The guys that work making the food are cool and very helpful. The young Asian girl at the register is kinda lost. Like she doesn’t know what’s going on and gets overwhelmed quickly. So the 1st time we ordered the bill was about $ 22 and yes this was for breakfast! All we got was 2 breakfast sandwiches of sausage, egg and cheese on rolls and 2 Gatorades. Can you believe this??? Then our 2nd time we ordered an Omelet wrap with a side of home fries and a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese small coffee and a Gatorade…$ 18!!! The omelet was good it had spinach, mushroom, tomatoes and cheese. The home fries were OK(not great) and the plain bagel was eh. Plain bagel tasted a little like onion(maybe it was kept of cooked next to the onion bagels). Not favorite and don’t think we’ll be ordering from here anymore.

They make a pretty mean bagel as the name might lead you to believe. A toasted bagel with cream cheese will knock your socks off.

Horrible customer service– I’ve never written a review online before but making a point of it here. They make mistakes and have absolutely no sense of how to apologize and make it right with a customer. Extremely shortsighted — always better to keep a customer than lose one especially over nonsense.

This is my update. Flattened bagels are excellent. My kids took 3 doz back to Atlanta. The service is abominable – slow and incorrect. I called with an order for 3 doz bagels, sliced. They call me on the due date to make sure I am coming in. I arrive, the bagels are not sliced, nor are they put together in bags. Next time I order by phone, they repeat the order. I picked up the correct number of bagels and they were sliced, but the incorrect mix. To get what I want, next time I’m in Brooklyn I would go in and write down for them what I want, in clear block letters.

Stay away! Not only did they not give a straw with the smoothie but a bagel sandwich with no actual bagel just the meat. More then ten dollars for just prosciutto meat that wasn’t even cut thin. How this took longer than an hour to get here is beyond me.

Two stars only because the bagels are decent. Otherwise… come to Atlantic Bagels ready for slow or botched service. Here’s a sample of things that have happened when I’ve been at Atlantic Bagels: –They forget about my order in the back and it takes 20+ minutes to get a toasted bagel with cream cheese. –The workers start arguing with each other while I’m in the midst of ordering and when they do finally pay attention to take care of my order someone in front of me orders two coffees and a pumpkin cheesecake, and since only one clerk handles the register AND drinks AND dessert orders she has to take each cheesecake slice out one at a time for the customer to decide what they want. –A long line of people are waiting to pay or put in their drink orders and there’s only one clerk working the register. Another clerk is standing at the other register counting coins. –I leave with my order, open up the bag and it’s the wrong order. With so many people(sometimes 5 or 6 at a time) working behind the counter you’d think they’d figure out how to get bagel orders out the door without so many mistakes and delays. Rarely happens.

Bagels are solid and cream cheese very yummy, but service is really hit and miss. They get overwhelmed easily and then it can take a really long time to get your food. Quality is also very inconsistent, too much cream cheese, barely any. I would recommend checking your order before you leave.

Friends and I ordered breakfast from this place. When our delivery shows up, my sandwich is missing. Call up the shop, they’re extremely unsympathetic and say they can’t do anything about it. they’ll send my sandwich when the delivery guy gets back. Alright, whatever, it happens I get it. Delivery guy shows up an hour later(been two hours since I originally ordered) with my sandwich. It’s the WRONG sandwich. Can’t trust ordering from this place again.

Not the freshest bagel at 12 on a Saturday. I was sorry I didn’t get it toasted. They also got my order wrong the first time. Disappointed

Atlantic Bagels gets your morning going with delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The bagels are soft and whatever spread you desire it’s done well. I love when turkey bacon is an option anywhere. The French toast could use a little more perfecting but the fruits added gave the breakfast plate lots of color. You can take your items to go or enjoy it right there at one of the tables that tends to seat 2 – 4 people. The open window layout pours the sunshine in, making your morning that much better. I would highly recommend Atlantic bagel for your morning takeout style grub.

We live right next door and we(used to) come here a lot. I love the bagels — they’re made fresh every day and are nice and crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. However — I have to echo the comments from the other reviewers: the ordering system here is absolutely disastrous and any order other than an untoasted bagel with cream cheese takes an obscene amount of time to be made(sometimes 20+ minutes!). I try my best to never write any negative reviews on Unilocal because I know it’s hard out there for small business owners but I’ve had such a consistently terrible experience here over the last ~6 months and ~15 visits that I have to make an exception here. We’ve stopped ordering anything here except for plain bagels to go, which we then toast and prepare for ourselves at home. The system at the café is just too slow and not even worth bothering with. This place has a lot of potential and their bagels are great but they really need to fix their ordering system(or lack thereof) and speed up their food preparation.

Average food with terrible front end service. Very slow cash register with some staff not really seeming to care. Not worth my wait but if you aren’t in rush it’s ok.(but just ok)

This place isn’t terrible. I’m giving it four stars because the bagel actually tastes very good. I went for a classic nova scotia bagel with the works. Paid about 10 $, but it’s worth it. One star off because the line system is very confusing and they didn’t offer any napkins. I mean, I would go back. They also had very delicious and fresh looking muffins and desserts there.

Atlantic Bagel NY Brooklyn Heights 11am Easter Sunday 5th April 2015 Four Stars The aroma in thesis place was great. The place took a while to make our bagels. I had an everything bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I checked in with Unilocal and got 25% off. The bagel was seasoned on both sides. It was toasted with butter. The eggs were real. The bacon was thin, crispy, and salty. The cheese was melty. It was wrapped in foil so it was still warm while I ate it on the promenade.

Came for Friday lunch with a Groupon($ 12 for $ 24 worth of food). They have a very wide selection of bagels, salads, paninis, omelets(mornings only), sandwiches, pastries, and drinks. Got the $ 8 Roma Panini(grilled chicken, cilantro, onions, mozzarella, chipotle mayo between two flatbreads), which was served with nacho chips + spicy salsa. Great combination of flavors, but the bread was soggy, not crispy, even after they grilled it. Maybe it’s because I left it in the container for several minutes before eating. Also got the $ 10 Belly Lox on an Everything Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese. They didn’t skimp on the cream cheese and they put plenty of salmon. The everything bagel was perfectly seasoned. The lemon poppy seed and cranberry jumbo muffins($ 2.50 each) were also good. It’s fairly large for a deli with plenty of seats, and they made my order very quickly. I would definitely come again!

This place charged me $ 5 for a bagel with cream cheese(a dollar extra to get two kinds of cc) and then the bagel came out with the SMALLEST most anemic amount of cream cheese I’ve ever seen. Considering this is the only place I have ever been to that charges extra for two kinds of cream cheese(I didn’t ask for more cc, just one kind on each side) I am extra frustrated that I got such a skimpy amount. There are like 1,000,000 better places to get a bagel in NY

This place used to be my default bagel spot. They’re open at 6, have tofu cream cheese, and make some decent bagels. Though I never dine in, there are tons of seats available that present it as a good contender for a casual breakfast date. Unfortunately, there were a few things that eventually made me part ways with them for good. First, I totally agree with the Unilocaler who talked about the disastrous ordering system. I usually got my bagel with tofu cream cheese in the early morning hours, which was just fine, but I made the mistake of coming a little later in the morning a few times recently. Just trying getting to the counter was a bit hectic as I had to meander around the folks who randomly hung around the glass display. Did they order yet? Are they waiting? Are they in line? I felt like I had to ask that question a few times before I could reach the front, and then to get my order in was chaotic as I tried to catch the eye of one of the busy counter guys. It wasn’t terrible, but it could have been more organized. I always order the same thing at any bagel place — toasted sesame bagel with plain tofu cream cheese. I don’t mumble, I don’t have an accent, and my hunger usually makes me overenunciate and overproject, if anything. If you didn’t hear me or you don’t remember my order, I’m happy to repeat it for you. But the last three times I visited this place, I would open my bagel order at work to find that either they gave me the wrong bagel, it was untoasted, or most recently(the most egregious error of all), filled with real cream cheese and salmon. As someone who’s been trying really hard to adhere to a vegan diet for nearly two years, taking a bite of that bagel and discovering half a piece of fish was an angry affair. One might argue that I should have looked first, but I don’t think it’s a good thing for an establishment if I always have to distrustingly check my food over before I start eating. The servers here are generally efficient and I have no complaints about the service as far as general courtesies go(though order accuracy has obviously been a thorn in my side). I’ve had the coffee a few times and decided I should never assault my taste buds with it again, unless I’m truly desperate for caffeine. People have already mentioned the prices. I thought 3 and change for a bagel was standard until I found my current favorite bagel joint on Montague, which offers my same order for a little over half the price, with bigger bagels to boot. If you live nearby and you’re really jonesing for some breakfast or pastries(they’ve got an entire display case dedicated to cake slices, sweets, and muffins), I would feel comfortable recommending this place. But as for me, I’ve found my greener and cheaper bagel pastures and you probably won’t see me here again.
