this place is godsend if you’re around the neighborhood and have a taste for craft beer. while the selection is limited, the next closest venue that sells any type of craft is in bay ridge deli rips you off or your next option is drive to whole foods at 3rd ave.

I have been going to John at 84th street beverage for Years! He is the nicest guy and he has about every beer you can imagine. I look forward to going there, they always have what I need and they go out of their way to help you. A bright spot in the neighborhood

This Place is a beer Oasis in desert of mediocrity. Most bodegas in the area carry standard INBEV faire, however these guys carry all manner of craft brews including dogfish, and stone! Love these guys!

Good beer. Reasonable prices. Good selection. No hassles taking your empties back. They sometimes run out of items but they can’t carry a huge inventor in this neighborhood, otherwise some of it would go skunky. No issues with the state of the store, as I saw an earlier reviewer. had written from a couple of years ago or more. It wasn’t so great a few years ago when I stopped coming in because some of the beer was, indeed, skunky. But I think the ownership/mgmt. changed since then, Either way it’s been very good for the past few months since I started coming in again.

Not sure when is place is open! It either closes really early or isn’t open on some days I never seem to make it on time to get myself loaded up. The one time I did make it they did me proper, brother believe me these guys got themselves a gold mine but I’m not sure why they don’t have a regular guy working there until 8 or 10pm. HIREME! Ill sell your booze.

It’s the neighborhood beer distributor. They sell booze, and you buy it. They now fill growlers too, which they didn’t back in the day when we came here for kegs. I guess they’re capitalizing on the trend. They have a surprisingly good selection of craft bottles against the back wall as well.

It was so difficult for me to find a Manhattan Special distributor but this place has all the old school goodies. I order beverages from this place for my pizzeria every week now.

I came here because I know they carry my all time fave Koppenberg Swedish Pear Cider. I don’t need to know anything else. I’ll forever come back as long as you keep carrying it.

They have a nice selection of beer, but the place smells like a cat that hasn’t been washed in 10 years, simply unacceptable.

On my way out to Long Island for a BBQ last week I realized that I wanted to enjoy my burgers and steak with some beer from Brooklyn’s finest brewery. Knowing full well that beer distributors/supermarkets on Long Island wouldn’t carry any of Brooklyn Brewery’s beers I quickly googled for a distributor near me. I came across 84 St Beverage Center and made my way over. Thankfully now I have finally found a place that has a very good selection of craft beers at reasonable prices. I chatted with the owner, John, for some time asking his opinion on the wide selection of IPA’s that he had in stock. I ended up with a 6 pack of Brooklyn Summer and a 6 pack of Abita Jockamo IPA. At $ 8.99 a piece it wasn’t too bad at all. I will definitely be back in the future to explore their vast selection.
