Pierce Playground

Average park, there may be better ones around, but if you live close by, it is a nice play to relax and play with the kids. Plenty of shadow, there’s are water sprinklers were the kids can cool off.

The nice thing I can say about this playground is that it has a water feature and mature trees, which is good for very hot days in the summer. Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be many kids playing there in the afternoon, and the park looked a little run-​down. I’ve seen better. For a truly good park to go to, try the Minot rose garden (

This is a very cute playground/​park that my apartment is literally right next to. During the day it’s constantly filled with LOTS of young children (toddlers-​early elementary) and strollers. It’s also used by schools for recess. I’ve seen what presumably was track practice as well. Lot’s of playground toys — tire swings, baby swings, and big kid swings (my personal fav). There’s a huge grassy field area, some benches, and some good trees to sit under for shade.
It’s very neighborhood-​y and I like that. It’s not always quiet and I kind of feel like a child molesting lurker being there without a small child, so I tend to only go during the weekends or off-​kid hours. Then it’s normally empty, which can be kind of creepy, but mostly just relaxing and lovely. It’d be a nice place for a picnic. If you’re within walking distance, it’s great. If not, it’s honestly nothing special. It gets a 4-​stars of joy from me just because it’s my backyard and I love swings.
