Highlander Center Self Service Laundry

i have lived in this neighborhood for over 5 years, and have had to use this place. it used to be a tiny bit better when i first moved here but i can’t even begin to tell you how much i hate doing my clothes, etc., at the highlander now.
first: there is no hot water (!), and hasn’t been for many months at this point. i have asked the owner to please fix this, and even though he insists that every thing is in working order, we know better.
second: there have been issues concerning ‘a customer’ tossing his fecal matter in several of the washers (yes, it’s true!!) and using the machines. in a fairly recent incident the local police were called regarding this problem, and they phoned and spoke with the owner. i was there, i saw and heard everything. notes were taped to the washers that were contaminated (this took place in the early evening) and the next morning, before 8 am, all those notes were taken down (they were placed on at least 7 washers).
the other reviews are accurate, too. now add to this that the owner has raised the prices on the washers. it is outrageous and those of us that haven’t any other easy alternative wonder why something can’t be done.

This place is always dirty and half the washers and dryers are broken, although there is never a sign to tell you this. Instead you plug in the quarters only to find out a half hour later the washer doesn’t spin out or the dryer has no heat. I have gone to this laundry for over a year now (feeling like I’m held hostage due to no other options in our neighborhood) and I have lost money every time I’ve done laundry. Every time I notice a washer or dryer out of commission, if there is someone else in the laundry at the same time, they will tell multiple stories of how much they also dislike this place. The owner has a million excuses why the machines are broken, or that his maintenance guy said it wasn’t broken, it was just the way we used the machine. (what? really?) Overall, this place doesn’t even deserve a star. I would love to see this guy get some competition, then he would realize his business is rotten! So if you’re looking to start a new business, come to Packards Corner and open a laundro-​mat. We are desperate for a good one here.
