Love, love, love this place! We tent camped here and whilst you might find yourself feeling like you’re in a bit of a fish bowl, the people here are the friendliest you’ll meet! The restrooms and showers are spotless! There is a small fenced dog park and a place with hot water to wash your dishes! This is mostly an RV site with a middle section for a few tent sites but we loved it. We are even renting one of the RV’s while we look for property to move there. Highly recommend this place!

Quiet, half the sites are multi-month with a year waiting list. Great locals, very quiet on the river close to town and beaches. Boat launch. Center sites are staggered back to back but still ok. Other sites are larger, we stayed here a week.

On a whim, my husband i decided to expand our trip to the California/Oregon border to Brookings, Oregon. I found this place on the web and it looked very nice. I booked one night. We both fell in love with it, completely altered our plans and stayed 3 nights. The park is small, but our riverfront spot was just gorgeous, peaceful and as tranquil as it gets. The restrooms are immaculate, as are the showers. The staff could not be nicer. The other folks staying at the park were super friendly as well. There isn’t a pool or other«resort» type amenities, but those are a dime a dozen. This has the staggering beauty of the Chetco River and the perfect environment in which to enjoy it. We will be back here as often as time and circumstance will allow.

This place was wonderful! We called ahead earlier in the evening to ask if they had tent sites left. The woman on the phone was polite and helpful(even though we had called after hours). The restrooms were clean and the showers had hot water. There was plenty of open green space for tent camping, a small dog park, and a lovely lawn/park area by the river. When we checked out in the morning, the ladies in the office were friendly. They recommended a place for us to eat breakfast nearby and provided a list of sights to watch for on our trip south.
