Blue Water Cafe & Lounge

Honestly, I haven’t even gotten my food yet but I have been sitting here for an hour and a half. We ended up leaving about a half hour after I posted this. The waitress was very rude. Didn’t apologize for the wait or anything. I will never go back

Just got into Oregon from Sacramento and we came here for breakfast and the service was superb! Let me start off by saying we came in to ask if there was outdoor seating because we had my dog and they didn’t and while we waited outside Chris came out to let us know he had a table inside for us. He was extremely attentive the entire time and opened the door for us when we came back in from checking on the dog. This place was extremely great and I will definitely be back. Superb!!!

Despite the recent growth of hipster joints around town, whenever I crave a really good burger, Blue Water is where I go. They have a few different menu items that are unique to them and that keep the locals coming back. The décor isn’t really great. I think it’s about time they painted over the murals, and arranged some booths like they used to have in the building, and then they’d be golden. I should give them 4 stars, simply due to the perhaps too casual environment, but the burger is so so good and worth the price.

I’ve been here several times and it’s always so-​so. Last time I was here I had a burger and asked for no house sauce just side of ketchup and the waitress insisted I have the sauce and I said no. It came with the sauce on it. The bun fell apart and was a complete mess and they put american cheese on it when I had asked for cheddar.

My husband and I had dinner at Blue Water in July 2015 and enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent and the food was satisfying. I had the shrimp wrap which was yummy. We happened to stop in only because the seafood place next door no longer had sit down service, beverages, clams or anything else we wanted, so we ran out and went next door. It was a pleasant surprise. We have been back since and have always had great food and very good service. The menu is rather diverse and eclectic, something for everyone. The prices are reasonable too. I recommend this place for families, travelers, romantic couples, or friends looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

The breakfast is right on so we returned for dinner. First of all, this is not a steak house.
The overall meal was average in food preparation.
Our vegetables were late being served and a steak knife not provided. No more dinner visit from us!

Breakfast all day!!! After trying serveral other restaurant, we got breakfast at 11a. Food is good… consistent!
Service is fast.

I was visiting my cousin in brookings and we were gonna have breakfast before we had to go. After the first place we went to was packed we thought we’d try here. WE WERE SORELY DISAPPOINTED.
I was busy parking while my cousin walked in. (the following is text from my cousin)
When we got in there. He said there were 2 clean tables. So we said we had 4 adults and 1 child. And he was like «still the same options». And I was like.
Well, which would you prefer since we have a child? And he just looked at me and pointed and the tables and just said «I’m just waiting on you to decide».
I was like. uhh. Okay? And so we sat down. Then he slammed wesleys silverware down next to him, and slammed the glasses of water down.
(I had sat down just before the water was slammed down.. this Guy. whom ever he is was a total jack off. When the owners of blue water café see this hopefully they will retrain this dip $h!t.)
After the water slam and no other recognition we decided they didn’t deserve or business. So we went to McDonald’s. YOU SUCK.
It occurred on 7−28−15 in the morning.

Crab omelet with pancakes best breakfast I’ve had in Brookings! Huge portions. Breakfast served after lunch hours… Perfect! Glad I tried it! Price is comparable for the crab and service is good

Okay, here’s the deal. If you’re in Brookings, don’t miss this little jewel. Waitstaff were superb, lovely. We had the tempura battered cod and fries. It was the best I’ve ever eaten. Vegetarian daughter had s veggie wrap that she’s still raving about. You cannot go wrong.

Passing through on Vacation and decided to stop here. The food was excellent! My wife for the blue water special omelet and I’m pretty sure it was the best Omlet I’ve ever tried! I got the bacon and eggs and they were good. Pretty standard quality but the portion was huge. The hash browns were nice and crispy and the pancakes had the perfect fluff. Will definitely be craving this place for while!
P. S. I noticed some negative reviews complaining about the service. We got there for a late breakfast/​early lunch and had no wait. The staff was very fun and friendly. Couldn’t ask for anything more there. 5 stars for service.

Hubby and I came here for Sunday breakfast before heading out of town.
He got the chicken fried steak and it was terrible. He couldn’t finish it because it was so tough. On the other hand my eggs benedict wasn’t half bad.
When you walk in its like walking into a triple wide mobile home. Felt kind of strange. The place was clean but oddly decorated. Our server was friendly and we got seated quickly in the bar.
We’ll come back next time we’re in town. Just not for the food. I’m thinking we will try the drink menu.

Before a few meetings in the harbor, I decided I had some time for breakfast and decided to try out; Blue Water Café & Lounge.
And, wow — this place is truly a hidden gem! I was greated with a smile, sat within minutes and ordered the French Toast, Sasuage & Egg with coffee.
The waitress brought me a free copy of the local paper to read, creamer for my coffee and recieved my delicious breakfast within minutes.

this café is wonderful!
in a recent trip we made to brookings, we had to stay in a hotel and ate out twice a day. we had breakfast here twice, and dinner once.
the food was excellent, ranging from eggs with sausage and omelettes to chili burger and tuna melt. i always ask for fruit as my side and the fruit was fresh. everything delicious. the gals are quick on refilling sodas and coffee, and even started a new pot of coffee so we’d have it fresh.
one downside, you can’t be in a rush to eat here. the morning we first breakfasted here, we were under time constraints — we made it to where we were going in time, but stressed as we waited and ate. now that we know, it’s all good… very good.

Over charged diner food, their chowder is watery (like they add water to make more) you can tell they use fresh clams though when you get a mouthful of sand.
