I have been getting my hair styled by Leslie since I was 19 (I’m currently 32). She gives the best hair cuts and is always changing things up so I don’t get bored. She is also amazing at color (I’ve had practically every shade). I would definitely recommend her. It is a splurge, but when it comes to hair you get what you pay for. The salon is also very nice and very clean.

Quick service and amiable staff but old fashioned +product overloaded hair is what you’ll get here.
Went to the salon and after my stylist boasted of her experience with hair I felt comfortable. The cut itself took her about 15 min the rest of the hour long session was spent washing and blow drying. She gave me a conservative trim while overly thinning out my hair that looks worse now than before it was cut. I told the stylist of my concerns and she responded by spraying tons of product until my hair felt stiff and greasy. The cut does not work with my hair’s natural style and I’m so distraught that I’m going to a different salon to have it fixed
I too was wondering why there are not many reviews but one visit to the salon and I found out why… The majority of clientele are older men and women who probably don’t know what Unilocal is.

Having given up on trying to find a «cheapo» haircut place (cost cutters, fantastic sams, etc.) in the are that can do an at least decent job on my simple haircut I decided to give this place a try, and boy was I surprised. To begin this place is huge and the staff are very friendly. I came in to have the sides and back of my head shaved very short, VERY short, and the long hair from the top of my head merely straightened out a bit. This is my normal haircut and it usually would take more places about 15 minutes to accomplish. I didn’t realize though that this salon only uses scissors for hair, no electric razors (except for my neck line). I felt so bad that the poor girl had to sit and hand clip most of my head for 45 minutes, but she was completely courteous about it, I even think she enjoyed the challenge. She did a fantastic job making sure it was even all around, straight and clean. I will definitely go back here again, though I will still feel bad about have them hand clip nearly my whole head.

This place has been the hot spot to get hair and makeup done since before I was in high school. It seemed like every school dance there was a race to get an appointment slot for an updo here before they got booked solid. They do some of the best updo’s period.
I finally got to be one of the «cool» kids. For my childhood friend’s wedding, we all (bridesmaids, sister-​in-​laws, mothers, etc) had our hair done at 890.
The staff were really friendly and super cool. We brought in breakfast for the wedding party while we all got primped and pampered by their staff. My stylist was great. I brought in a photo of the hairstyle I was going for. She was really good about asking questions to get a better idea of exactly what I wanted. She consulted with me along the way and showed me the progress so I could let her know if I was liking it. In the end, it came out looking awesome. The bride was even amazed… she wanted to know if that was all my hair.
Do come prepared, if you don’t know what you want your hair to look like you may end up with something you don’t like. Do speak up if you don’t like where things are going… the stylist will not be offended. And do be prepared to pay $$$, good hair doesn’t come cheap.
Note: They do more than hair. Nails, massages, skin care, etc… it’s like a day spa.
