Definitely the nicest Boston Store in the 414 or the 262. It always seems better organized than the others. Maybe it’s the employees in the Men’s clothing department, but this is the store I usually go to when I’m looking for something specific. I just found a nice RL Polo suit(52L) for about $ 325. The jacket was in stock, but since I have 52 inch shoulders and not a 52 inch waist, the pants had to be ordered. They’ll ship them to my house at no extra cost and within a week. I’ve found the selection here to be better than most. Still, no matter how many coupons they send me, there are so many exclusions that I’m never able to use them. Very frustrating! Shop the sales and forget about the coupons. They’re just a way to bait you into the store.

I see a gradual but visible decline in the quality of the merchandise and the appearance of the store. This isn’t what I remember Boston Store to be. Case in point, we visited on November 16 prior to crazy holiday sales and with the crowds thinned due to a Packers game. Yet the store was littered with clothes on the floor, merchandise in disarray and sizes all mixed up. What’s going on? I hear how online shopping is affecting box retailers. But this is beyond that. In all fairness staff is still friendly and eager to help. But they seem overwhelmed and unable to assist beyond the basics behind the counter.

Boston Store you may have a nice shoe selection, but good luck 1) getting someone to help you get a size and 2) getting someone to check you out at the shoe department so you can actually buy something from them. Every time I go in there, doesn’t matter whether it is during the week or weekend I can never get any help. Today I was actually able to get a pair of shoes, walked up to the checkout and the sales associate walked away to help someone else. So I stood there for about 10 min with a pair of shoes trying to make eye contact with someone to help me. Finally an associate walks over and says are you ready to check out. The lady who is already being helped says no and I speak up and say yes very loudly. The associate turned around and walked away. I know I wasn’t quiet when I said I was ready, because the lady waiting gave me a bewildered look and said to me was he talking to you or me??? After that I just put the shoes down and walked down. Taking my business to Macy’s. I never have to wait long and never have to hunt down someone to help me.

This is one of the better Boston Store locations in the metro area. It puts the Mayfair Boston Store to shame for sure! In general, this location is much neater, cleaner and better organized than many others. Additionally, because there isn’t a Macy’s at Brookfield Square, BS stocks some«nicer» brands that aren’t available at other locations like Bobbi Brown or Origins. On the plus side, the store is large and merchandise is generally kept organized. Staff(as with most retail) is hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll be helped, sometimes you have to search forever to locate a staffed register. Stock is hit or miss too — a recent search for a winter jacket for the Mister turned up little more than racks of horrid faux-leather jackets and old man coats. BS seems to send out frequent, high value coupons but as with most stores, they aren’t good on anything you actually want to BUY. Bottom line — if you’re a BS shopper, this location is pretty good.

A pretty standard Boston Store. Mid-to-upmarket stuff. Friendly staff, too!
