So I came in today for lunch since I happened to be working in the neighborhood. They have very good customer service. Clean and family like restaurant. I order two chicken tacos. They were very good, they gave be a red spicy salsa on the side which was extremely spicy but I still used some on my tacos. All the ingredients taste very fresh and authentic. Lunch totaled to just $ 5, I’ll more than likely be back soon! P. S. I saw them brining in all their fresh ingredients that they use. No canned tomatoes lol :)

Great authentic Mexican food. The chips with the guacamole are flour tortillas which can be a nice change. The tortilla for the quesadillas is handmade, which is delish. My only complaint is the food needed a tad bit more salt, and spicy needs to actually be spicy. All and all I like it and I’m coming back.

My absolutely favorite authentic Mexican food spot in the Bronx PERIOD! The tacos are huge and delicious. Their homemade guacamole and nachos is amazing. Their service is excellent and you will truly feel like you visited Mexico without breaking the bank. Very cost efficient. I recommend this place to everybody!

I ordered delivery after seeing all the raving reviews on here and now I feel betrayed *sad face* We ordered 3 chicken tacos and a chicken burrito and both my boyfriend and I were not fans of the food at all. The biggest problem was that they used unseasoned ground chicken in the food — awful! The food was completely flavorless — there was more lettuce in the tacos than any other ingredient. However, they were kind and delivery was quick and cheap so I plan on giving them another shot — except I think I’ll stick with some of their non-chicken options. That’s my suggestion — stay away from their chicken, yuck.

If you are looking to have a food orgasm, this is your place !!! If you never had one you will !!! This is a family owned restaurant that I have the privilege of living a block away and been coming here since i was 8(I’m 21 now). I am a food enthusiast and travel all over NY and I can honestly say this is the BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had. If I could, I would eat this everyday for the rest of my life. If this is your first time here I would suggest to get the Nachos of steak or chicken or BOTH ! That plate is a guarantee foodgasm. My top picks: Tacos of any kind Their Nachos of chorizo and steak Bistec ala Tampiqueña Bistec Ranchero(MY Personal Fav) Their supreme burrito . If I keep typing I might write the entire menu You can borderline pick your meals blindly off their menu because everything I’ve had from here is ridiculously delicious !!! May god bless these wonderful folks and their delicious food, hope you try it and enjoy !!!

I love this place. Everything is so fresh. Spicy Guac is a must. My favorite dish is the fajitas mixta. They’re sooooo good. Probably the best takeout in the area.

I don’t know how to pronounce Xochimilco but if your Coochie needs some Milco, I can only imagine that this is where you’d come, so to speak. The guys here seem like they’d be more than willing to provide your coochie with some of their Mexican Leche. What to get: Chorizo Taco. What else: This is my 3rd ever NYC review. Woot. I stopped by here as part of the Bronx leg of one of my NYC food tours, and I ordered Chorizo Taco. After all, who doesn’t want some hot, salty Mexican sausage in their mouths? Am I right? The tacos were excellent. Some of the best I’ve found in NYC, and certainly my favourite that I’ve had in the Bronx. Don’t be fooled by the rocks that I’ve got, I still, I still food tour in the Bronx. Used to eat a little, now I eat a lot. No matter where I go you know I love Chorizo. My fave Mexican in The Bronx is over at El Atoradero, but this place is right up there, and for tacos, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere in the area more highly. Dirt cheap as well, so stop by here and see what you’ve been missing. Put that Mexican Sausage in your mouth.

Came here for a solo lunch on the recommendation of some fellow Unilocalers, and was not disappointed. Incredible tacos for a great price. Love this neighborhood. The guac was super fresh, though I probably should’ve gotten it a little bit spicier. All of the ingredients were so fresh that I can’t wait to go back and try a new dish. Place has a real intimate feel with great service and even better food. Can’t wait to go again!

I have never gone to eat in person in this Mexican Restaurant, however I order takeout quite frequently after an old co-worker referred me to this place. The guacamole is delicious! The tortilla chips are homemade and they give you plenty. The burritos I always order the Supreme one its worth it and the portion is generous. My only complain is there is no cheese inside of the burrito but if you order the Supreme one it comes with white cheese melted on the top. I have tried the burrito with chicken and pork, both are yummy I have not tried the steak though. I also recommend the Chicken Chimichunga which comes with rice and beans. The lemonade tasted hand squeezed. I definitely would like to eat in the actual restaurant but this is one of the best mexican food I have tasted! If you order takeout delivery minimum is $ 20 and they usually take an hour depending on where you live.

The sign doesnt lie! It truly is the best mexican food in the borough. Starting with the staff whom makes you feel like family the moment you walk in, all the way to the delightful cuisine which is sure to please your palate. Most other mexican food establishments pale in comparison to xochimilco .The passion that goes into picking the freshest ingredients and the pride that the family takes in each and every dish served to its patrons.

The reviews are right on here. The food is amazing. The tacos are delicious and the mole is incredible. The guacamole is just about the best we’ve ever had. Thank you Xochimilco for a wonderful dinner.

Highly recommended. Best place I’ve been to in the Bronx for Mexican food. This place is awesome. I live across the 145th St bridge in Harlem and they are always willing to deliver whenever I call as long as they have the car. The lady who takes my order is sweet. One time they didn’t have the car and couldn’t take my order, 15min later she called me back saying that her husband came back with the car and they can deliver for me. I was so impressed. That is GREAT customer service. Delicious food. Freshly made guacamole, and they aren’t stingy about it. They give you a descent size tub. My fave Mexican place.

I went for dinner with two friends at this lovely restaurant and it was great the food was top and the service was incredible we had a variety of dishes with meat and without. We started with tortilla with guacamole and each had our own dishes. I had a Quesedilla with beef and my friend had mole poblano which was great. I had the lemonade and my friend tried the horchata which he realy enjoyed highly recommend this place.

Xochimilco has helped make this my Summer of the Taco. And oh, what a glorious summer it has been. I’ve only ever ordered delivery from Xochimilco, but the food arrives promptly and still hot. My favorite tacos are the carnitas and el pastor — and at $ 3/each, they’re definitely worth the price, because each taco is huge. Make sure to get an order of guacamole, and be aware that«spicy» means SPICY. Just the way I like it.

Another Baron Ambrosia fan here … This is a tiny restaurant with delicious food run by nice people. We had the barbacoa de chivo, cabeza and lengua tacos, guacamole and a chicken dish with green sauce and pumpkin seeds — all were amazing. For those citing«gringo taxes,» call us skeptical. The first time we were here(I am Asian-American, my husband is white), we ordered take-out, and the son told us that his mother wanted us to try their lentil soup. They gave us a large container for free. The menu lists $ 2.50 tacos, but if you want them with cheese, lettuce, crema and tomatoes, they are $ 3.00. This added cost is specifically listed on the menu.

Xochimilico is the real deal. 6 bucks got me a milanesa torta with crema, beans, pickled jalapenos, lettuce, tomate, cilantro and probably some other deliciousness mixed in there I was too busy stuffing my face to be aware of. Their homemade chips and guac are pretty awesome too. I’ve also had the cabeza taco which was fantastic as well. Who knew cow face was so tasty?
