Many peeps on the block complained when it was decided a Walgreens would take the place of the neighborhood supermarket. A Walgreens wasn’t needed since there is a Rite Aid 100 yards away. But it’s been nice to have this in the area when needed.
Anyway, the set up is your typical chain pharmacy. Its clean and very bright. The pricing is decent and the selection is way better then the Rite Aid down the block.
The plus is they stay open until 10pm on week nights.

I gotta say, I love when the pharmacy’s automated system calls my mother’s house (that’s the home number I listed) to inform her that my prescription for Valtrex is ready. That made for an awkward conversation.
However, after going in there to change my home phone number to unlisted, I decided I needed cases of water and other topical creams (for an unrelated rash). I had four different CVS Technicians (I think that is a fancy name for after school worker clerk) help me find the right cream and explain which water was on sale. When going to pay, there was a line of three people and one cashier was open., The manager and assistant manager both came and opened a register so we wouldn’t have to wait.
PS When you ask the pharmacist the best way to apply an ointment, make sure your girlfriend’s grandmother isn’t within an earshot…
