Tony’s halal is nestled right outside of Lehman College. It’s a small halal truck run by people with big personalities. Tony caters to everyone, from the jubilant students of Bronx Science to the average Joe. He’s always kind, generous, and efficient. He has great deals on halal($ 5 for a meal and a drink) and he recognised you if you come often enough. Would definitely recommend this place for the food and atmosphere.

Portions are small due to the styrofoam contains which was deemed unsafe and prohibited in NY. Dude is cool but the chicken is shredded. I don’t know if it is even really halah chicken. He rarely has any falafel. But he does have honey BQQ sause

I have been coming here for long time here and there. Tony is nice and he always smile and try to have conversation or hole with you. The food is pretty good compared with the food in school. But recently, I felt that they give less food probably because lot of people come. Other than that, I really don’t have complain in terms of the food and the service the cart food place offer.

wait i can review this??? there any many halal carts in manhattan, most of which are overpriced tourist traps that make you feel as though you’ve eaten lead when you’re done(53rd/6th, you’re not that special). THIS one, while not worth the trek to the north bronx, is unbelievable — $ 5 for a filling and delicious platter!!!(free water/soda thrown in on certain days of the week but only $ 1 extra otherwise) literally the only reason i would ever pass these guys by i if i don’t have cash on me. the lehman cafeteria isn’t winning any awards but the fact that i can order anything at any price point and pay with a card is a feature that a small business food truck just can’t provide. in terms of food quality, price, and service, though, you will never beat these guys. a true gem for students and faculty of lehman and the surrounding high schools.

I’ve heard rave reviews about Tony’s Halal Cart. So, of course, I had to check it out. Tony’s a nice guy, but the food sucked. No flavour– the rice was bland, the lamb was ehhh, the white sauce was just okay, and the hot sauce reeked of vinegar. Absolutely no spice amd watery. Never again! –_–

Tony’s Halal is a small walk from the 4 train. It’s literally situated right next to the Lehman College main entrance. Just cross the bridge over the rail yard. The food is simply delicious. The rice is a very fragrant long grain basmati that goes very well with his style of Chicken. The Chicken is nicely seasoned, and not over powering like other halal trucks. When I do go for the lamb I usually get it on Pita. It’s also very good but I’m not much of a lamb guy to be honest. The kitchen is very much enclosed and not in the wide open like other Halal spots. Tony is almost always there serving his customers, he often refers to them as his people. His clientele is comprised of Lehman and Bronx Science students and staff, with the occasional foodie like myself. Which is why I think this Halal spot can easily be missed for all others who are going to the 4 train or neighboring buses. Unfortunately, Tony’s Halal is not open all of the time. It’s open M-F, and only when school is in session. Sometimes I wish it was open 24⁄7! This is where I get my Halal food fix in the Bronx, Tony’s Halal can possibly be the Best Halal spot in the Bronx! Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself.
