I attended an event here this past weekend. It’s such a hidden gem. I’d have never come across this place had I not be invited to attend a networking event here. I had an amazing time! The staff is so warm friendly, the space is cool, and there are plenty brews for you to try if you’re interested in beer. Lastly, the Hispanic food from the food truck around the back(where the outdoor seating is) is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended :)

The Bronx Brewery is a great place to hang out with friends, drink a mellow local brew, and grab a bite to eat at the food truck in the back. The summer ale is very delicious and just-right for the hot summer. Once you get a beer, head to the outdoor seating area and listen to the live music on weekends. Good for meeting friends and small groups.

Stopped by after seeing them featured on the brewery show podcast. I’ve always been interested in trying their beer but watching all about them was the tipping point. Anyway, to the experience, it was great. The tasting room is pretty large and has plenty of room to relax, it’s a bit dark but who cares. The beer is why you’re there and everything we tried was great! If you go, check out what special releases they might have in advance(they call it the bsides as I learned from that podcast above) because some of them might be REALLY good. Also here is a link to that video which explains everything better than I can

What an great experience! Angelica is an awesome bartender and made us feel welcome and very comfortable. And the other patrons were just as friendly. Will definitely return for a visit to the Backyard.

We’ve been here about half a dozen times and it’s always great. The beers are excellent, all pale ales but a nice mix of styles. The servers are friendly without being overbearing. And the people we’ve met there have all been really relaxed and fun to hang out with. It’s a much nicer place to hang out than a certain other borough-named brewery. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon. Pints five to six dollars. Samplers of five are ten. The Bx33 drops you a block from he door.

Visited a few days ago on a weekend, and they were very busy. There were only two staff members working that day, and service took a long time.(However, they were extremely friendly) It was our first time visiting, and we had signed up for a tour online. However, upon arriving, we realized that the tour was free and we didn’t have to pay(we paid for the flight tasting). The tour consisted of a staff member explaining the beer making process, we stayed in the same room for the entire tour.

Great place! We went here on a Groupon and it was so relaxing and they treated us so well! I will def come back! Katie explained every single beer on our flight and was very detailed! She was attentive and made you feel welcome I would HIGHLY recommend The Bronx Brewery! To top it off they have games which makes it more interesting! The places décor was very modern and the bathroom smelled FRESH and CLEAN! Try this place out and it will keep coming back for more! You

My friends and I entered Bronx Brewery around noon on a bright Sunday afternoon, to you know, sober up from the night before. We parked right in front, with no parking regs or bustle from the surrounding industrial area since it was the weekend. We stepped in, Groupon in hand, but no one was around for about 10 minutes. We walking in 15 minutes after opening hours and were ready to drink. Compared to many other breweries, doing a tasting flight is usually accompanied by a tour and at least some information about the brews we sipped. Our introduction was relegated to color-coded coasters with the name of the beers on them. We did however snag some sweet beer glassware. The most impressing thing about this brewery was their extensive collection of bootleg versions of classic board games to play while you drink. We played a game probably called Who Dis?(compare to Guess Who?) as well as bean bag toss for a while. The courtyard in the back was a fun way to spend an hour or two, weather permitting.

Bronx brewery is nothing but a scam that uses the name as a marketing scheme in the same way you see the Brooklyn name being sold to you left and right. It’s first few years as a company the beer wasn’t even brewed in The Bronx It was made in Connecticut and Wisconsin. A majority of their product is still brewed out of state! they are simply stealing the name for their own profit and it does nothing but promote gentrification and white washing of the South Bronx. At very least you would think they would make a decent product having made this whole factory and all but that’s not the case their beer is reaching to be below mediocre.

What a fantastic place! I came here because of an Amazon local deal. If I remember correctly, it was $ 20 for a tour for two people, a flight of beers each, and a growler to take home with your favorite brew. Full price would’ve been $ 40, so it was a great deal! The staff is insanely friendly, funny, and provided great conversations. The front of this place is very much like a bar. There’s comfy seating, games, and an overall great atmosphere. The back is where the tour takes place. It’s a tour of the brewery, short and sweet. No dramatics or gimmicks like I’ve seen at other breweries. The location is a bit off the beaten path and hard to find, but can we really blame them? 10 minutes from a train station is nothing, we’re in NYC here! It’s nothing to penalize their ratings for. As for the beer, it was incredible! They have a good variety that can please beer lovers/experts and newbies alike. My favorite was the Belgian pale ale. Definitely give this place a try if you’re into beers, breweries, or just a good time!

I love to visit breweries and am into«beer tourism» so I was disappointed to find how inaccessible this venue is. The space is pleasant, the staff is friendly, and the beer is good. They also have dozens of board games on hand for their patrons’ enjoyment. However, the main downside is that the venue it’s well off the beaten path — about a 10 minute walk to the nearest train. We additionally could not find an Über or a cab while we were there. If the Bronx Brewery opens a taproom at a more convenient location, I’d be happy to visit more regularly. Until then the hassle of getting to their current address is not quite worth the effort.

4.5 stars… Finally made it to the Bronx Brewery yesterday, it was a long time coming. They have a great space but unfortunately not in the best area. The good news is that because it’s in a very industrial neighborhood there’s plenty of street parking, if you’re coming by public transportation it’s an easy 8 minute walk from the Cypress Ave 6 train. The tasting room has a small bar with only 4 taps but when we were there they had 6 beer options so they just fill your pint(or tasting) from cans. They only work with cans or kegs which seems very smart considering beer stays fresher and is easier to store and transport with these methods. What’s strange is they only work with 4 packs. They only offer the beers in plastic cups, probably because it’s easier to deal with but they do have glassware for sale though if you’re a beer snob that needs to drink out of glass. As I mentioned the bar is very small(about 8 stools) but they do have a comfortable couch a few other seats and wooden barrels to stand by and play one of their many board games. Weather permitting you can walk through their beautiful brewing facility to their giant back patio filled with picnic tables. For food they only offer warm pretzels($ 4) but do allow you to get food delivered and have menus available for you to browse. I’d skip on the pretzel’s though. Service was very good and we had a great time. Onto the beer. They had 6 options when we were there, 5 of their common options and one special dark option that was aged in mezcal barrels. All options are labeled as pale ales but the flavors and colors did vary quite a bit. If you’re into a bite(higher IBUs) then you’ll love their line up. My fiancé and I both loved the Bronx Belgian Pale Ale the most($ 6/pint), this had a moderate IBU of 36, and a respectable 6.7% abv. We did enjoy all the beers with the exception of the Black Pale Ale(aged in mezcal barrels) which was just a bit to dark and mezcally for us. For other pricing pints are $ 5 – 6. 4 packs of the Rye, Belgian, and Summer are $ 9 – 10. Growlers of the IPA and Pale ale are $ 15 and $ 20 for the Belgiuan and Summer options. Flights(6 samples) are $ 8.

Very cool spot. It’s located in an industrial area of the South Bronx which is quite isolated. I imagine it’s exactly what Williamsburg used to look like before gentrification. My boyfriend bought a $ 20 voucher(for 2) off Amazon local which was awesome. We each had a flight(5 tastings each) plus a growler. We chose the Belgium beer. The bartenders were detailed in describing each type of beer amidst the chaos that was going on. There was a tequila event going on that Saturday unbeknownst to us, so we lucked out. It was very crowded though. I loved the space and will definitely come back. I was only disappointed with the food. They have limited items but the cheese pretzel I ordered was small and didn’t look appetizing. If you have limited food items, at least make them look and taste good. I know it’s a brewery but they should improve the quality of food they provide. Aside from that, cool brewery and I would like to revisit during the summer to check out the outdoor section.

Love it! Brought about 30 members of my beer club here on a cold Saturday afternoon and we had a blast. The two bartenders were awesome and friendly. It was also nice to get to sample some beers that I haven’t had before… their Pale Ale is everywhere but they do some experimenting on other beers(including one infused with sage) and that was great. The place itself is very easy to get to and the bar area is very welcoming and warm, although not that big. I can’t wait for warm weather when the garden is open. Additionally, the tour that Andreas provided was fun and informative. Not only did we learn about the brewery and the beer making process but also about the history of the building. They don’t have a lot of food available but it was easy to get pizzas delivered. Five stars for Bronx Brewery!

Came here with a friend and took in a tour of the brewery and a tasting of what they currently offer. They have a nice variety of pale ales. There was a good crowd on a cold Saturday, so this place has a lot of promise. Pairing up a visit to the brewery with the Port Morris Distillery on E. 133rd St.(three blocks away) makes for a very enjoyable day.

I have heard about this clandestine brewery and have consumed The Bronx Pale Ale for over a year. Yesterday friends invited me to check this place out. Although a few blocks away from the Cypress Avenue 6 train stop, I could not help but feel lost. There were no gaudy signs. The area is nondescript. As I got closer, I saw an open door indicating a tasting room. To the left is a small bar and the bartenders pour their few signature beers(more would be ready to drink next week). I enjoyed their Pale Ale, IPA, Rye and Habanero IPA. Straight ahead is the brewing equipment(it was a short self guided tour). Further ahead is the private back area, where there are picnic tables, foosball and corn hole. The Bronx Brewery is clean, has friendly staff and most importantly good beer. Welcome to the hood! I will be back.
