Texas Chicken & Burgers

After a long night of drinking this is the place where my friends and I go. The service is fast and the workers are amazing. They put up with so much drunkeness bullshit they are great with customer service. Hell they beat the McDonald’s down the street!

Fried chicken here is very good. Their sides are just ok — fries and onion rings are the best options. It’s basically just a fast food joint, but the food is good quality for the service and price.

I am trying to eat healthier so I don’t do «junk food» take-​out as often. However, when I have a craving I HAVE A CRAVING… and when you MESS with that craving I NOT HAPPY. This place used to be a Kennedy’s Fried Chicken, as far as I am concerned, it still is, just with an extended menu and an extra floor. The food is decent (each time have ordered buffalo wings) but they NEVER get my order right even after I confirm. I’m not one of those people that orders a meal with five items and changes all five. First time I asked for buffalo wings with blue cheese «flavor.» I asked if that meant it’s buffalo wings with blue cheese on the side, i was told that it was, once my meal was packed. When I got home my wings were doused, drenched, DROWNING in blue cheese and the kicker the chicken underneath had no buffalo sauce! NONE, just plain fried chicken (they charge extra for buffalo chicken). I figured something got last in translation and I went back today (two months have passed) and ordered buffalo wings with blue cheese on the side. I carefully articulated that i wanted BUFFALO wings with blue cheese on the side. Again I was told yes, that’s what they gave me, as they packed it (didn’t see it) and when I got home NO buffalo wing sauce (and the blue cheese, was blue cheese salad dressing packs). Good thing I had Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo Wing sauce at home. I order out so I don’t have to cook, microwaving is like cooking!

Filthy, inconsistent, unprofessional, untidy and food was less than mediocre.

My partner and I ordered the 10 piece mixed chicken with four rolls. The «mix» consisted of 5 wings, 2 legs and 3 thighs. Not what we were expecting. The other issue was the taste, which was nonexistent, as in completely bland. There was nothing setting this place apart outside of the cleanliness of the store… which is still new, hence the second star I added out of generosity. I was fooled by the crowds when it initially opened, now after a few weeks– the place is empty. It’s clear the public has voiced their opinion. Texas Chicken, step it up. There are plenty of other dive fast food chicken places around.
