If I could give 0 stars, I would. Called twice to make sure they accepted furniture, spent the afternoon loading a truck and brought it in only to have the guy receiving say he wouldn’t take anything, like he was on some kind of power trip. What I had included mid-century Scandinavian chairs that go for $ 500+ on eBay, large wall mirrors with no deterioration of the glass, a newer small table in excellent condition as well as some admittedly less desirable items. He banged one of the end tables I had, said, «See, this is solid wood. Nobody wants this.» What the hey? I have seen far worse in their stores. Far worse. They did take the TVs(which I had also called about) but only because they have some kind of partnership with the city for which I’m sure they get compensated. I will never go back here. Not only was the attempt to donate a horrible experience, but the store at that location is under stocked and what they do have is junk. This is in contrast BTW to the Salvation Army in Mount Vernon where they are perfectly lovely. However they don’t take any furniture on weekends, the only day I could get help. A tale of two cities for sure.
