Merry Land Chinese Buffet

Food selection is your typical greasy buffet… wish they had more steam food like other buffets I’ve been to and a desert option would do wonders in here. Also if you’re taking children make sure they dont have to use the bathroom the conditions are deplorable.

Just walking by this restaurant is annoying because they have their restaurant advertisement playing repetitively over a loud speaker right outside their door.
However, the price options for this buffet are great and affordable for almost anyone’s income. But the food options are limited because most of the food offered is fried or just greasy. The take out and eat in meal options all include a beverage with your meal but be sure to remind the cashier because often times they will not offer the free drink. The seafood options are the best part of their buffet but the quality of seafood offered is definitely not the best.
If you have ever been to a good buffet you will quickly notice what this one lacks but its good for a quick bite.

The food selection is good, the eating area is big and comfortable. There’s unlimited soda, and the price is $ 8.75 per person. The bathroom is always dirty and smelly try to avoid it at all costs. All in all it all you can eat and you can’t beat that, my recommendation is to go in the afternoon when all the food they are putting out is fresh. Its great for kids to with all the deserts they have, vanilla pudding, sugar donuts, jello, fresh fruit and more. They also have free parking in there parking lot so that’s a mega plus. Give it a try and find out if its for you, I recommend at least one visit to gauge if it’s to your liking.

If you live nearby you would have preferred to just order Chinese food, real Chinese food! If you are looking for a place to eat you might fall into their trap once. Everything looks great but don’t be fooled the sushi is made with sweet pickles instead of avocado … Besides that everything practically has no flavor, that’s by no means an exaggeration. This is very disappointing food. Try at your own risks, if anything the jello isn’t bad so I guess you can binge on that if you really want to try the place. Honestly I’ll never come back here unless I’m here as ghost haunting someone.

For a quick stop with friends, this place succeeded my expectations! A very good variety of foods, not a large restaurant, and the price was right! I came with 10 friends (on a Saturday) to eat lunch together. For 11 of us, the price came to less than $ 100.00 That is amazing! Food was delicious and it was fresh.

Place is gd when you want something quick place stays packed never come on a Sunday you will be pissed.

Food is ok. Hospitality/​service very rude. The owner and the lady with him (his wife?) could not be more aggressive, cold, or unfriendly. Are we putting them out by using their restaurant? God forbid! I wouldn’t want to put them in the position where they actually have to deal with customers! They act like they are doing us a favor, when we are the ones paying for the food. What gives?
Don’t go here, unless you like being treated rudely!!!

Food is okay but what do you expect from a cheap chinese buffet… the waitress here is very rude though so I would say to take out… but the overall quality is decent

This is our go to spot for a decent chicken teriyaki. for a very cheap price
I love their fried rice, chicken teriyaki, tofu and fried chicken. we mostly get it to go because iy gets real.crowded. i love this placr

It was ok! The selection was not great and not too many options… it was good for the price so cant ask for much!

For the price you can’t complain about the food

Great options and food and for such a low cost! You can get a meal, fruit and drink starting at $ 5.75 to go so I haven’t stayed for a meal in the past year here so I don’t recall the service. I like that they are constantly monitoring the food because there is always some person putting a scooper where it doesn’t belong and they are right there to give you another. The food is always stocked up or there is someone coming from the kitchen with the tray of whatever you wanted to add to your plate next. My only problem is there is always a guy at the door asking for change and since they are cash only it is odd walking past him saying you don’t have change.

Great Chinese food for $ 8 all you can eat, plus refills of soda. Fried Chicken, Shrimp, Boneless Spare Ribs, Chicken Fried Rice, Garlic Texas Toast, Chicken and Broccoli, Sweet Donuts, Crabs, Plantains, assortment of fruit, Egg Rolls, are just some of the food on Merry Land’s menu. Much more subdued than the location on 149^th Street. Love it. Service is great.
