I am a fan of Liberatos! Always bustling and busy this restaurant serves delicious Latin cuisine. I typically order the baked fish fillet with white rice and red beans. I love that my fish automatically comes with vegetable. Super healthy and makes me feel less bad about devouring the white rice! My boyfriend will vary between the oxtails or chicharron. Either option he is never disappointed. We couple our meal with either tostones, maduros or both. Again never disappointed. You get a lot with your order at Liberatos and I really appreciate that they do not skimp on the portion size. The prices can add up so just be mindful when you start rattling off your order. A plain white rice can cost $ 5 alone. I think thats a bit much for rice but again because I get so much. I always have more than half left over which I make fried rice with for the next dinner. So its really like getting two dinners for the price of one if you’re smart.

Large portions, a bit overpriced, and overly attentive staff. Like please let me put my fork down before you snatch my plate. Gracias! Lol

I always order from this restaurant because the food is really good. however last night i ordered french fries and half of a chicken and the chicken was dry and old. It looked like it was sitting all day in oven. when i called and spoke to the manager i explained the situation and how the chicken was disgusting and dry and he was telling me that there food is made fresh everyday and blah blah. I otdered the food last nite 5min before closing. i asked the lady if there was going to be and issue with food since it was almost closing time. she said they still had fresh food. i’m very dissapointed with their service and wont order from here again. instead of apologizing for the dry nasty chicken the manager refused to do anything to make me feel better about the situation. warning dont order food from here 5min before closing i learned my lesson!

Taste less french fries so dry and no flavor. The rellenio de pollo roll is so plain no flavor. Not a fan of Liberato. Need a real bartender and more live music. Need help to manage the place at night esp fri and sat to bring $$$ in the company. Hospitality is great

Horrible worst place ever save your money, rude service and they treat you like garbage if you dont speak spanish. Most ignorant, disgusting, and rudest people I ever came in contact with. They spit in your food and touch all over it before it comes to the table. Hair qas also found in the food. Waste of time and money

Best Spanish spot in town. Floyd Mayweather eats here! I always get half chicken with rice and beans. Cheaper like that. You can always ask for whole chicken with rice and beans on the side. Skirt steak is good too. Love their potato salad as well.

The food is overpriced. The drinks is more overpriced. I could’ve got better service at mcdonalds. Definitely somewhere I shouldn’t have wasted $ 34 at. You sit yourself when you come in. My waitress vanished for like 10 minutes. She seemed so spaced out or something. Music was kinda loud, there were weird guys walking around the place. All in all I could’ve saved my money and my time.

I went into this restaurant today but the loud noise and music blasting with surround sound was not the type of environment for me. I also didn’t feel comfortable because it was too cold inside and the vents we’re blowing cold AC air really hard and I didn’t want my food to get cold from that. I left without ordeing and with hopes of one day returning to give them another chance.

Be careful when you order«whole» chicken, they like to keep pieces! Food here is decent but kind of pricey compared to other Spanish places in the neighborhood with similar menus. More than once we have ordered their whole grilled chicken combo and only part of the chicken is sent and the rest is missing.

This place is soooooooo expensive. I was so surprised because it is a restaurant that college students frequent a lot. Normally a lunch in a Dominican restaurant is usually 6 – 8 dollars, and a meal is 8 – 10. My husband and I both attend BCC so before class we wanted to eat something there, a lunch there is $ 10.00 and the order of food is $ 14 dollars. WOW! I would understand if they were in a high end neighborhood but, Burnside in the almost south bronx? Nah, ladies and gents! Keep your money and go else where. On Grand Concourse they have many other ones way better. Xoxo Penny Pincher

the store has a beautiful interior, however it’s loud inside… because they blast Spanish music… their food is average tasting. I will go back.

This restaurant isn’t truly representative of what Dominican food is. Their staff is nice but poorly motivated. Who can blame them, since its been on the news the scandals that sometimes they don’t get paid accordingly. The place is NOISY! And as if its not already bad that the customers are loud, the radio is loud, and the TVs are all on, but muted. Truly a disappointing place to it at. The taste is average. The price is a bit expensive.

Looking from the outside in I wasn’t really intrigued to come into the place, but after coming in I liked the ambience of the place and the music that they played. It was very lively and they have big televisions that show sports. The chicken fingers were on point and I loves them. The french fries were good too. However, I’ve had way Better cheeseburgers in my days. It was just a little too dry and a little too sloppy at the same time. It kind it tasted a little like a cafeteria cheeseburger. Don’t get me wrong though it still tasted good but not restaurant quality. That’s why I’m giving the establishment three stars. However my girlfriends«chicken chunks»(odd name) were great! Also, we came here at night and it’s one of the few places that are open after 11PM. I say if you’re in the neighborhood and you’re hungry for a bite to eat step inside and get your grub on. If anything get something that has to do with chicken, rice or beans. They seem to be on point with that :-)

Dominican-hispanic food.

Their rotisserie chicken is a a little bit dry and crispy but tasted very good. They delivered our food very fast(about a 10 – 15 minutes wait). I will order from them again. Half Rotisserie chicken + tostones was $ 9

Good food tastes good cold. Well Fredward and I transported the following across county lines… — Chicharrones de pollo sin hueso — Arroz con gandules — potato salad First off, one order was enough to satiate us both. They give you the entire tin of rice & peas. Then fill another tin with fried boneless chicken chunks. [It is 12 bucks though]. You get cucumber, tomato, onion and lettuce salad. Potato salad was delish, and for 2 bucks you get a nice portion. According to the counter man it’s available in $ 4 and $ 8 sizes as well. Fredward got hot chocolate, I got a Country Club Frambuesa, Mario got a… something. Funny moment of the night. I got a Country Club, which I figured required a bottle opener, so I asked the counter man to open it for me. He cracks a smile, twists it open in Bruce Lee-esque speed and hands it back to me… I would’ve been embarassed but we all busted out laughing. I get a pass of sorts, because #1 I spent the past five months in a Latin country where there’s no twist offs #2 it was 1am. But honestly, when we got the food home it wasn’t piping hot, but it was great. I know I shouldn’t eat late, but I did… and no tummy aches, no waking up late to hit the john, so the food is reasonably clean. I’ve heard great stories about Liberato from so many people… well now I can say w/pride I’ve also been. BTW, although we didn’t dine in. There’s three flat screens along the back wall and a really nice dining room area, so it’s highly recommended to dine in. It’s not ball gown and smoking jacket territory but it’s nicer than a diner.
