I’ve been here twice. The red velvet chicken and waffles are great. Very fulling.
I also ordered curry chicken with mac & cheese twice. Both times I ordered it was very oily; soaked through the styrofoam container and brown paper bag. It tasted very good though. There are a few stools to sit at. There’s usually a couple people double parked outside waiting for their order. About a 15 – 20 min wait. Great prices for a decent amount of food.

The food was AMAZING! I had the chicken with blue raspberry and red velvet waffles topped with strawberries. I am NOT a fan of waffles but I must say I loved these waffles. They were very soft and fluffy. The chicken was nicely seasoned. The strawberries were even delicious! I would definitely recommend and would be eating here again!

The interior could use a touch up, but I like it «rustic.» There’s a few high chairs for sitting and they’re quite busy. Many cars pulling up every 5 minutes and taking off with their takeout. I recommend you do the same.
I ate the Oreo + Red Velvet waffles w/​fried chicken breast. Let’s begin with the waffles: SOOOO FLUFFY SO TASTY with the right amount of flavor, little hints here and there. I’m thankful that they allow you to mix flavors of waffles.
Now onto the chicken breast: JUICY TENDER MOIST. Perfect crisp on the outside. NOT overcooked NOT soggy. FLAVOR IS ALL THE WAY THERE.
LETS NOT LEAVE OUT THE SYRUP: it’s delicious. I will figure out what’s in it soon.
I’m sure their non-​American food is just as great if not better… All the Jamaicans and islanders coming in, go for the classic West Indian meals. Next time, next time!

Been here a few times and had the chicken and waffles twice as well as their Mac and Cheese. The chicken was a little dried but good. The waffles were good as well. The Mac and cheese was very tasty.
My daughter had the Jerk chicken with peas and rice and she said it was really good. I would recommend this place. They do offer a variety of foods.

So happy I found this spot. Thx u Unilocal.Chicken n Waffles are awesome. I will surely be back to try other items from the menu. This plate is open late too. West Indian food that just gets it right. Only thing is that it’s pretty much takeout only but I’m ok with that; I’ll take it to go. If your in the area and in the mood for West Indian you should try this spot

Food is always fresh and delicious! The chicken served with the waffles are seasoned to perfection and fried to a golden brown color. The waffles are usually juicy and most certainly not lacking flavor! Good place to treat a sweet tooth craving when uptown.

I’ve frequented this restaurant on many occasions. I usually get the fried chicken and baked macaroni or a more traditional west Indian meal. All the food I’ve had there so far has been really great, but this time I have to mention their chicken and waffles. I’ve never had red velvet waffles until now and it was amazing. Everything was on point. The presentation, the texture and especially the taste were all more than satisfactory. The only downside is that it’ll probably add a few pounds if you have them too often and the line is usually out the door… but now that I’ve had their chicken and waffles I understand why.

Food is amazing here. Great late night spot for those who eat late. Chicken and waffles are great as well as the jerk chicken and rice me peas and oxtails. The service is decent for a carribean spot as well. Definitely recommend going there.

Well, well, well. They certainly live up to the hype. Literally just finished scarfing down my chicken with strawberry waffles. I wanted to switch from dark meat to white after I saw how good the breast look but homegirl said she already cut my chicken up. But I’m glad I didn’t cause it was seasoned good with that crisp skin. Got my boo the white meat with red velvet. When I tell u my bf doesn’t really even eat waffles or pancakes or anything too sweet for breakfast, he tore up everything in that white styrofoam tray. Will definitely be back esp to try the Jamaican dishes.

Had friends in from out of town and they wanted a Escovetch fish… Our old spot closed so went in search for a new place… Went to Lash on recommendation from a friend and we were VERY pleased with the Escovetch fish! Onions and peppers cooked to perfection. YUM. Place is very small, and you do have to wait a while for food, but well worth it!
