Not only is Harris Park large enough for multiple ball fields, but apparently it’s expansive enough so that the US Marine Corps HMX-​1 squadron was able to land three MV-​22 Ospreys and two VH-​3 Sea King Presidential transport helicopters there, one of which was Marine One.
President Obama came to visit Lehman College next door to give a speech on 5÷4÷15 and then to make a guest appearance on the David Letterman Show that night.
The Secret Service had the park locked up tight as a drum. Those helos were LOUD coming in, especially the Ospreys with their double triple bladed rotors! They blew up a hellacious dust storm when they landed and left some pretty big divots in the grass when they left. Thanks, Obamacare!
