This store is the reason I stopped going to WFM. They have tons of vegan and vegetarian friendly foods as well as specialty items(Yacon Syrup!!) that you wouldn’t find in other stores. These items are pricey but I feel they are competitive for the type of store they are(mid-range). I don’t particularly like the produce section(especially the organic packaged salads) at times they do go bad before the sell-by date, but this is a solid store for health food/vegan staples.

Love it!!! The BEST supermarket in Parkchester. Friendly cashiers, and management. Even the Mexican lady who packs the groceries is nice, and funny :) Very low prices, great meat/poultry and dairy sections too.

This is one of my local supermarkets in the Parkchester. What separates this market from the others is the selection here. Being a pescaterian, I found this supermarket had all the veggie friendly products and organic stuff generally hard to find in the Bronx. This includes mock meats, vegan cream cheese, vegan cheese, gluten free products and whole grain products(brown rice pasta, whole wheat pasta.). The produce department is small but has a mix of regular and organic stuff. They have vegan ice creams and even carry quinoa! The prices for said products are expensive as expected although they mark down some of health food folks don’t buy(something that sadly happens often in the Bronx). They have a great selection of granola bars that aren’t usually found in my neck of the woods. I can’t really comment on meat section, and the fish selection isn’t rivaling whole foods anytime soon. They recently stocked up on Kombucha and Kale chips, another pleasant surprise. they carry ethnic foods to which caters to the diverse makeup of Parkchester. Overall this place has wonderful selection and tends to keep me from traveling downtown to trader joes, although the latter has better prices.
