Why must all things be sub-optimal in the Bronx(including the supermarket options)!!! This is amazing borough and its ppl deserve better and affordable options. This place is pretty gross. The meat/fish section reek and nothing is labeled correctly. We need a Trader Joes!

I walked in looking for some last minute things mom HAD to get on the way home. I had not ever been in this place and was nicely surprised. The prices are pre gentrification which has killed the Western Beef closer to her. The produce was fresh. They had some Asian offerings, and a good seafood section with better pricing than the shop closer to grams. The aisles were FULL, of stuff and people. But they had some guy that asked people to clear the way. That was refreshing. The cashier was loud and a tad unprofessional but very friendly and patient, we didn’t know seafood needed to be priced at the back. Overall this place is a great option, with solid offerings and pricing that should be supported! they give seniors and NYCID carriers a discount!

I have been to this store 3 times to buy fish and i won’t be going back. I do not like to shop in dirty places. As I walked through the produce section to get to the seafood part, I couldn’t help but noticed the uncleanliness of this supermarket. The floor was filthy. I mentioned this to another shopper who told me that it’s usually clean. But after three visits, i beg to differ. The smell in the seafood section is overpowering. It’s a shame because they have a nice selection of seafood. And so what this is the South Bronx? My money keeps you in business; Thus I will not settle for less.

A pure dump disgusting that food is sold in here. On a regular basis their floors are covered with black dirt, dried up blood on the floors from meats that spilled days ago, littered, junky, produce rarely fresh. I could go on, going to start taking pictures.

This supermarket has fell off big time. The customer service is horrible, I can’t wait when they close this dump and remodel it into a shop rite !! As for the workers it’s a wrap, because shop rite is a corporation and customer service is everything !!!

This is my neighborhood grocery store. For a Food Bizaar that’s in the south Bronx it’s actully pretty decent. The lines are always super long but, they also always have a sufficent amount of registers open so your wait is never crazy. The place is a fairly good size and they have mostly anything you would look for(especially pan american and latino foods). The only real quams I have with this place is that it could stand to be a little cleanlier and the customer service could be a lot better. There’s hardly ever anyone around in the aisles for you to ask for help and when you do find someone they either can’t help you or act like it kills them to do so. Other than it’s a good supermarket and a stable of the community.

I remember when this place first opened up and I thought it was quite amazing and an awesome place but now I really wouldn’t shop here unless I had to. This is your average supermarket but it can get extremely crowded during the weekends and on the days when people receive their SSI check and other government assisted funds. They do have a decent selection of items though which is pretty neat. Some of the prices here can be okay, but I consider a lot of it to be overpriced since there isn’t much competition supermarket-wise in the area. I also noticed while there is a huge meat selection there is no actual deli selection to select what cold cuts you’d want. This somewhat struck a chord and I was quite appalled because what supermarket doesn’t have one?! REALLY?! Other than that the lines can easily crowd up and be slow since the cashier rather talk ALL the time than work or at least work & talk.

This is a pan-Latin American grocery store with a lot of Jamaican food too. But it’s not your dingy corner shop selling weird roots– no this place is HUGEHUGEHUGE, and filled with tons of hard to find fresh vegetables, a great meats department with a walk in refrigerated section. It’s very clean and the prices are reasonable. And all kinds of brand names from every country south of the US. There is a whole section for food from Peru, Columbia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic … and so much more. You can also get soda in a return bottle, the kind I had in Ohio when I was a little kid. A real treat. Even though I don’t know much about Mexican or Dominican food the wide section and high quality fresh tortillas have inspired me to learn. Just don’t go on Saturday, it’s way too packed then! Go on a weekday.
