Very very good food but they are expensive. Every time I order from here it never disappoints.

This place is fantastic, the food is delicious and the staff is amazing. The food is reasonably priced and the drinks are good. I can recommend the jerk and curry chicken dishes, they are pretty damn delicious, and the portions are huge. Stay away from the punch, it’s disgustingly sweet. Parking in this area is a bit sketchy, but I’m sure it just looks rougher than it actually is.

I give it 5 stars from 4 stars. Went to dine in and the food and service was excellent. Goat is good and the rasta pasta is a hit if you are into sweet. Additional space is in the back and they have heated lamps so you won’t feel cold.

Decided to treat the family to a little post-Thanksgiving dinner. The wait at Edo’s was too long and I wasn’t feeling for Country Kitchen so we headed to Fish N’ Ting off of the strength of nonstop recommendations over the past few months. I was dreading having to find parking on Boston Road but I got lucky and pulled into a spot right outside of the restaurant. Still, parking can be a real challenge in that area. My family and I were seated immediately. The customer service was exceedingly pleasant from the beginning to the end of our visit, especially from our server, Celia. If you’re at all familiar with Jamaican food establishments, you know how unbelievable this is. As for the food, I’m upset that I don’t have any as I’m typing this. Our table had the Mac & Cheese appetizer, Oxtail, Jerk Snapper, Steamed Butterfish, and Steamed Salmon(all with Rice & Peas). The only thing I didn’t taste was the Oxtail(pescatarian) but everything else had me singing along to the great music they had playing in the background. You know that dance you do when your food is THAT good? Yeah, I was doing that. These 5 stars are based on my first and only visit. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the Bronx but I will be making Fish N’ Ting a regular stop during my frequent trips. If anything changes during subsequent trips, I’ll update accordingly. As it stands — I suggest you go here as often as you can afford to!

I absolutely enjoy dining at this restaurant. I’ve been there 4 – 5 times and I have never been disappointed. Parking is difficult given its proximity to many businesses, mainly auto repair and dealerships. I dropped my princes and mother off(to find parking) and gave them a strict directive to place the festival order ASAP. They are shaped like garlic knots and they are perfect: crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. They are made to order so they come out piping hot. The bartender comes at 5(drinks are amazing and worth the price) and we were there earlier but our waitress, Amrose, did a great job making our drinks. We played it safe with coladas and rum punch. I’ve had a ginger martini there that was off the chain(I love ANYTHING with ginger). Batter on the shrimp tempura is a little thick. Side dipping sauces complimented it well. We had the garlic snow crab legs, fried shrimp, curry goat with roti and fried chicken with rice and peas(gotta have the oxtail gravy on top). We were thoroughly satisfied. My mother is a seafood lover and she was far from disappointed that we didn’t go to City Island instead. We were too full for dessert. It’s great to have a spot in the Bronx that serves delicious food with attentive and courteous service.

I was actually blown away by this inconspicuous hole in the wall restaurant. I’m from The Bronx, so I’m always excited to see good things going on there. This was a great thing. Décor left a bit to be desired, all the tables are dark and woody. Along with the dim lighting, small space of ten tables(some 2 seaters some 4 seaters), a corner of plush(but in need of repair) seats align the only window. Immediately I noticed someone had«repaired» a fabric rip by using gray masking tape tsk tsk tsk BUT this ain’t project runway and I’m not Tim Gunn. Let’s get to it! The menu was decent, not a huge variety but enough to make you feel as if you didn’t waste your time bothering to stop in. We were seated quickly waitresses were nice, smiled made us feel welcomed which was really nice being that I’ve been complaining of lack of great service lately. Drink menu was cool, they had a few creative drinks on there. The three of us immediately decided on The flaming Bob Marley shots and Rum Punch. Once we put in the order we quickly realized neither knew what in the hell to do when these shots of fire arrived! I googled it but we were still nervous lol The waitress brought it over to us and asked if we knew how to drink it and showed us how using the straw method. Took me a few tries and 2 melted straws but I got it and it was fun and delicious, warm toward the end. I REALLY liked it, we all did. Rum punch was not the ‘One hitter quitter’ that my fellow Unilocalers made it seem like. It was ok, Great if you like banana rum and Guava(but I don’t) but not as strong as I had hoped. Food was PHENOMENAL! When trying a place that serves food of any ethnicity I try something traditional because I feel like you should be able to do this exceptionally well and if you don’t you probably won’t see my money again. I ordered Oxtails, Rice and Peas, My brother ordered Garlic Crab legs and my sister ordered Mac and Cheese and Festival. Yes, I know, I know WTF were they doing ordering that at a JAMAICAN spot ?! However, I’m so glad they did! Let me be clear IMO I don’t feel like mac and cheese is something Jamaican spots do well. I’ve been all over and it’s always been just pasta and cheese carelessly thrown together. Nuh uh, not here! The mac took the longest because it was made to order. It was hot, gooey, cheesy and sprinkled with love. I was literally amazed. The festival was also made to order and was piping hot and perfectly cooked, crispy outside soft inside slight sweetness like it should be. My brothers crab legs were amazing! I mean, usually broiled crab legs taste like well, crab. These crab legs tasted like butter and garlic all throughout. There were small chunks of cooked garlic all over the crab legs and even a clove in the dipping butter that you really didn’t need but couldn’t stop dipping in. I mean c’mon it was authentic garlic butter is what I’m saying and not eating it was not an option ok? Ok. My oxtail were cut on the thinner side and I usually like them to be cut thicker. The glaze was brownish reddish and I won’t lie it made me nervous. I’m used to a much darker glaze on my oxtail. It did not disappoint. The texture was perfect, the sauce was delicious and the rice and peas were perfect. It had a good amount of peppers in it but it wasn’t spicy. It was however, delicious and honestly I am a tough critic of Oxtails being that my husband and in laws are Jamaican. So, to me that says a lot. The bill was only 105.33 for three shots, three drinks, two full meals, three side dishes. Not bad at all. This spot will definitely be visited again and I’m so glad it’s close to my family so that I have a reason to go back. This place was solid, friendly, creative with their drinks, fair in price and in my hometown. That warrants a five star review. I love The Bronx, I’m so happy I got to say something positive!

Food and drinks are delish. Downside is that parking is tricky. My fave is the G-spot cocktail. I love the fish soup too. Service is cool.

The customer service was just as good as the food. My bf and I stumbled upon this restaurant while driving uptown. I’m so glad we did. It’s a cute, small, and romantic atmosphere to relax and have a drink or dinner

Food is absolutely delish and prepared with a home cooked style. Just remember to tell your server if you would like spicy or mild! The festivals complete any entrée. Nice date night!

Best rasta pasta I have had so far, so I don’t mind the 20 minute delay I have to wait when I order to go. I don’t think a week goes by without me ordering it. And the lady’s there are always so pleasant which makes me come back again compared to other restaurants. Always hot and fresh, a must try Tip: always call ahead of time if your taking your rasta pasta to go

All this place is missing is a larger dining room. I have eaten here many times and I have never been disappointed with a meal or a drink. The staff is über pleasant and accommodating. It’s more of a Bronx gem that I encourage people from other boroughs to try. Fried rice and rasta pasta and rum drinks oh my! I usually sub my rum drinks with brugal rum and there is no issue with my request. I enjoy consuming great food and this place seems to make their dishes with love. I mean it, lol, that must be why it is so tasty. A must try.

Favorite place to stop in and eat after work. Definitely a hidden gem on Boston Rd near Connor St. Food is awesome, and worth the wait. My personal favorite is the curry shrimp wrap-you won’t be able to eat just one! Wish I had a picture, but I ate it too fast, lol! The ambiance is very warm and inviting, feels like your at a resort in Jamaica, instead of the Bronx. It’s very clean, and the waitresses are very friendly and attentive. If you find yourself near Co-op City and you want authentic Jamaican food with a gourmet flare, go to Fish N Ting, you won’t be disappointed!

Came in right after work with my girlfriends. We were greeted and seated right away. We started off with fish soup, then in to the flaming Bob Marley shots! It almost looks too pretty to drink lol. We ordered jerk salmon, jerk whiting and jerk chicken. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Everyone there was courteous and attentive. I will definitely be back with my family.

Favorite food and drink spot this side of the Bronx. The star bartender Mele serves up exquisite drinks and cocktails that never disappoint. Some of my favorite dishes are the rasta pasta, oxtail, salmon and parsley potatoes. The staff is pleasant and attentive. There is always service with a smile. Fish n’ Ting is a hidden gem that I will definitely visit again.
