After years of enjoying the sfogliatelle at DeLillos i was very disappointed the last two times as I bit into it and nearly cut my gums. They were extremely tough and just not good. Then to only wash it all down with a cold cup of coffee. DeLillos is no longer #1.

Nice ambiance and the magnitude of pastries staring at you is impressive. DeLillo’s will thoroughly give you the Arthur Avenue italian pastry fix you’re looking for!

Good pastries but service far from Italian. In a place where they only serve dolci(sweets) and coffee, I can not conceive they do not accompany the fare with a small glass of water. Seems to me the owners are not around looking after service…

I close by and stop here often in the summer and fall. I love the tiramisu and any of the baked good with fruits on it. The staff isn’t the most attentive or nice but the serve you. The prices are reasonable.

My father and I have been coming here for years. The pastry is always fresh. Nice café with tin ceilings and brick walls, very old school. Great place to have an espresso after lunch on Arthur Avenue. Always busy.Friendly staff.

This place smelled intoxicating, and the sexy-voiced help stood behind massie b&w and linzers, which looked better than they tasted.

It was my first time to Arthur Avenue yesterday and I had a great recommendation from an Italian friend to come to this bakery. Hands down, absolutely the best tiramisu ever. Light as a feather. We also tried the cannolis and they were really good and the Red velvet cake. The cannolis were great but the red velvet cake was okay. There was plenty of seating and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

I have been coming here for years and always thought it was just a pastry store. We had a great brunch there a few weeks ago. Fast service and excellent value for Bleecker Street.

As part of our group’s Arthur Avenue outing on 9÷19÷15 we had dessert at the DeLillo Pastry Shop whose sidewalk café seating is a special treat, whether you want to relax or people watch, particularly on a nice weather day. We sat outside and particularly enjoyed the Rainbow Cookies, Cannolis, Chocolate Cake and Chocolate Italian Ices. The real stunner was the Iced Cappucino… unbelievable…will never have the hot cappo if I can gwet an icede one of this quality. Alas, the prior comments and complaints about the service are spot on. Our group had the same poor experience with that. The food is exceptional but we deduct a star for service. In any event, I would not journey to Arthur Avenue again without making a stop at DeLillo Pastry Shop.

Delicious almond paste crossient, so delightful with the almond paste, delicately sweetened, and almond halves covering with a hint of honey. Perfect capcinno with toppings on the table, cinnamon, and chocolate powder! The atmosphere is airy, and roomy! Always a treat!

DeLillos is definitively my favorite bakery in the Belmont area. I’ve had too many of their options to count, but the pignoli, cannoli, chocolate covered strawberries, and rum baba are my personnel favorites. The cappuccino and hot chocolate are a great way to wash it all down. The atmosphere is pleasant, and you can even sit outside on a nice Summer night. I knocked a star off due to the service. The wait staff is nice, but their relaxed approach can be annoying at times. It’s nice to just sit back and enjoy with friends, but after they bring you’re deserts, they rarely come back to check on you. Paying the bill can thus be frustrating and take way longer than it needs to.

Okay, this review is solely based on their lattès. Disclaimer: I’m no coffee expert or anything of the sort either. I like my coffee or lattè moderately sweet and strong, usually for a big study session or just to do extensive work. Delillo does a pretty good job at achieving this, although sometimes their baristas do add a lot of sweeteners(it tends to be sweeter than Dunkin Donuts iced lattès). It’s around $ 6 for a large lattè. Kinda pricy. They have a wide variety of sweets and snacks as well as gelato(never tried any of them). One major downside in my opinion is that you need a $ 10 credit card limit. If you’re a card person and rarely have any cash on you then you might wanna stop by an ATM before coming here.

The rainbow cookies here are on point! If you are in the area then go get some and try the affogato it will change your life if you haven’t had one and if you grew up on them like me then you will say this is a great one. The service is phenomenal and they are always checking to make sure you are pleased. I cannot wait to hit this place up for an affogato and some cookies. My uncle used to go here all the time.

Decently good pastry shop with outdoor seating in the Bronx’s Little Italy. I had a cannoli, the husband had hazelnut gelato, and our dog had a mini creampuff. Everything was good(but I’ve had better cannoli, sorry). Our iced cappuccinos were good, too. We had a relaxing time. Service was a bit spotty which was surprising because it wasn’t very busy. All in all a nice spot.

If you’re going to go to an Italian bakery/café in the Bronx’s Little Italy, go with DeLillo. Located right off Arthur Ave on E 187th Street, DeLillo gives off a casual vibe while still maintaining it’s classic Italian décor and dessert offerings. There’s a lot to look at in DeLillos, the counter is huge and the display cases are chock full of cookies, cakes, and pastries. Seating is ample and they have waitress service which I appreciated. The pastries are solid here, their cannoli have a hint of cinnamon in them which is refreshing and their rainbow cookies are very tasty. The clientele is a nice mix of locals, college kids, and tourists which adds to the charm. It’s certainly not the end-all-be-all of Italian bakeries in NYC but is a great casual place to go for a cappuccino and pastry.

Jennifer S., Lori N., and I spontaneously stopped in for a sweet treat. It was quite a great fortune that they had delicacies of all sizes; we opted for the smaller ones and shared. Jennifer S.‘s rainbow cake was divine, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. It was a perfect balance of fluffy, almond-y, and sweet. I also really liked my chocolate-chocolate cannoli. Everything was so fresh! This spot is definitely popular, so finding seating might be difficult. I got two cannolis for $ 2.33(incl. tax). Suffice it to say, these prices are much better than most spots in Manhattan for lots of reasons!

De Lillos Pastry shop was delightful! I couldn’t possibly just chose one so ordered a selection of mini’s — chocolate cannoli with vanilla filling, éclair, and rainbow cookie. The rainbow cookie was the BEST rainbow cookie I’ve ever had. The other two were also excellent, but the rainbow cookie stole the show! Go and be merry :).
