Dallas BBQ

Sooooo I’m just going to come to terms with the fact I just do not like BBQs. The food just isn’t good to me, I don’t know why. So with that being said, I didn’t enjoy my sticky wings but don’t take my opinion too harshly on this because people enjoy the food here all the time I just really don’t. I don’t really like the sauce it has a weird taste to me. Idk how they make that sauce but it’s eh.
I like the drinks and cornbread. That’s all I’d get here if I manage to go back. I had the beach bomb. That was really good.
Our waiter was Alexis was sweet, she’s nice and did a great job. No complaints on her.
Downside: we had dirty dishes on our table. Like it was set down and they had old sauce on them they were clearly not cleaned. Made me question my other plates being clean. Huge turn off.

It is a big place I’ll give them & being a Saturday night at like 8 the wait was only 10minutes for three people … So I’m happy about that BUT …
When we were suppose to go to the back to be seated we were 1) not escorted and 2) had to wait again. Which resulted to us going back inside
Out waitress’s Alexis was very attentive at first got our drinks and meal orders correct but when the food came out she disappeared.
Which brings us to the food … The fries they serve here were soggy and needed some seasoning. I also ordered a burger which came out delicious but the tomatoes and lettuce weren’t fresh which was upsetting. I asked for onions for the burger and they were a little off in taste I still can’t put my finger on what was quite wrong with them.
Do order the cornbread it’s 99cents it’s not amazing but it’s pretty good.
Do order the wings some yummy. And they are big wings so order moderately.
Everyone who comes here orders Texas size drinks and honestly you’ll get tipsy without knowing how.
But my take back from this situation was that they were clean… On the table there was a stack of plates and it had stains or remnants of ketchup which was distrusting and made me question everything that I came in contact with.
Also when they give your bill you get small cupcakes, which is really cute but they also taste horrible.
But on another note if your a selfie lover there’s a giant mirror on a wall at the top of the steps that are infamous for pictures at this location.

Had a great time here. Food and drinks were of reasonable price. Very messy but good food especially those wings. Have been here a few times and even referred my whole family who have been going there on a regular. The employees and security make it a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Surprisingly the bathrooms were also pretty clean which is at times rare to find in a very popular location like this one.

I had my drink given to me in 20 minutes. Literally. I ordered a Chile bowl with corn bread. It was good. Also ordered henny wings which were cold. And hot wings as well. Am not to happy with this place. And only came hear cause my girl friend wanted to. I had a bad experience hear before. I ordered ribs and chicken and back than my food was cold too.

Some things never change… BBQ has always been one of my favorite restaurants in NYC and even after my 8 year hiatus from NY the food and drinks are still delicious!!!
Visited the co-​op city location downstairs from my grandmother building in bay plaza. They have the best piña colada outside of the Caribbean… I decided to be creative and mix two flavors, watermelon & apple. Had the half honey chicken and the crispy shrimp.
And reasonably priced!!!
You already know I will be returning :-)

Omg this was the worst bbq I’ve ever been too. The service sucks, the food sucks. The only good thing I had was the drinks. But I will never go back

Every time I come here I get the same server! So funny to me but they’re piña colada is to die for which is why I’m recognisable to the server. This isn’t a place I’d say someone should come to often because you get what you pay for so that means cheap prices = cheap cuts of meat and you getting tired of the limited options eventually. Wish the chain could switch up the menu sometimes. But if no other review has mentioned HUUUGE PORTIONS! Esp them wings (seriously. Also I rec them WITH bones) and it’s really filling to the point that it’s something you can eat alone no need for anything else. Sometimes loud but again, it’s a casual joint in a location with a lot of traffic. The never changing menu is probably why I reduced a star because getting the same thing gets a bit tedious but it’s still a alright chain that’s trying!!!

Second time here. Just to give it a second try. Will not recommend to anybody and I will definitely never come back

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered the Hennessy burger. I was half way through and I felt something hard me thinking it was bacon I tried to bite it harder but when I took it out my mouth it was a freaking plastic. The table next time got glass in their food… So be aware of plastic and glass in your foods. The manager said he can only take 50% off lol. Never coming back.

The people who dine here are loud and unruly. The waitress only appears once and is gone forever. They make a big deal about ordering sauce… I don’t understand why if you’re willing to pay for it.

I came into this establishment 2÷18÷16 1145am for a quick bite with my co-​workers. I must say we are not an easy crowd. Our waiter Eric (young man) not only met out requests and needs he did so with a smile. I must say I was surprised, truthfully had it been me I probably would of scolded «us» for being greedy and needy. The food was delicious! We left happy and stuffed! Only downside they changed the menu a bit. Early bird special is limited 2 per table. Unfortunately we had to sit at two different tables to get the special!!! Otherwise amazing. I’m confused as to why the ratings are so bad. We’ll be back soon!

First time at this Bbq on Bartow I usually go to the one on Fordham. Service was alright, when I got there we got seated automatically which was great but, when I finally got seated it took a while for a waiter to come get my order. After I eventually got the food, the person that I came with had to wait about 10 mins. to get his food. Everyone had their meals except him and my side order. How do you bring out half of an order? If you ran out of something the waiter could of came back and told us what’s the issue was instead of us tracking him down to ask him where’s the food at. Oh yea the drinks were GREAT! I tried the beach bomb for the first time.

The food is ok, the service can use some improving. The point of coming here is to score a couple if drinks before heading to the movies… the Texas sided drinks are worth it if you get the right mix

Oddly enough I’ve visited this particular BBQs during the holiday, during the busiest of days, as well as during the days where nothing is really going on. Please note: I’m no newbie to this franchise so I’m fairly particular about what I want and expect.
I have received mediocre service once or twice but the massive downside is the cliental at this location (a bit loud and unruly). Texas size drinks pretty much counteract whatever bad emotion your feeling. My last experience is why I’ve decided on the 4^th star, a ketchup bottle had popped on my friends jacket and immediately everyone offered him dry cleaning and several things on the house although it was not their fault.
Not a bad place to eat on a whim.

I see a lot of bad reviews on here but I honestly never had a bad experience here. I usually come weeknights around 7 or weekends during the day.
The drinks are always really good and give me a great buzz.
The ‘Henny Wings’ are HUGE they look like chickens on steroids… but nonetheless are really delicious.
I must say the clientele here is very ghetto… I can understand why some people complain about service, but a few tables that sat near me have been very rude to the servers in many occasions. You can’t expect gradeA service when you disrespect hard working servers.

Check this out people. I am about to sip on this nice large cold margarita Texas size drink with the extra shot. I am not going to give it a star yet so stay tune.
Ok people I must say the drink was good and I am going to give it three stars.

So me and #moiBeastie come here a few times a month for date night and a movie. Now all Dallas BBQ’s for the most part are consistent as franchise goals and brand go… so if you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all. But I must say our experience has been great each time we’ve come here… the wings are hot… the drinks liquored (if you’re one step from a program you know what I mean). The wait time if there is one at that time is usually reasonable, and the staff is pleasant.
We continue to go during date nights or shopping frenzy.

Dallas BBQ’s selection is pretty standard for a sit down southwestern cuisine restaurant. It’s possibly the most consistent dining experience I’ve ever had, despite the lack of any «spectacular» item. Everything is mad to a certain standard of delicious that is absolutely surpassed by other restaurants, although perhaps not for the same price or portions. Did I mention that the portions are quite large? And that’s only considering the food, drink portions reach titanic sizes sure to make even the most active person diabetic. Share the Texas sized drinks when possible.
The most recent one I’ve tried is their seasonal Watermelon Royale. This would be a great time to mention that Dallas BBQ has seasonal drink specials all year long, very fairly priced I might add. For less than $ 20 you can get over three servings of alcohol in any of their promotional, bulldog style, Texas sized special drinks.
The Watermelon Royale in particular came with a Barefoot Bubbly champagne bottle tipped inside and an extra shot of vodka as well as extremely sweet frozen blueberries and a rock hard frozen watermelon slice.
If BBQs were to change anything about their food or service they would probably be breaking away from their true value prop. But if the restraint could do any better, especially this Bartow branch, it would be to offer more vegetarian friendly or at least vegetable-​lovers friendly option. Southwest doesn’t have to mean greasy and meat heavy. Although I’m sure most visitors don’t mind that at all!

$ 25 dollar minimum was the first thing that threw me off. Co-​op city does not have a lot of good food, and even less that deliver. If one person wants to order that isnt a glutton like myself, 25 dollars might be a bit of a high number to hit.
Burger was pretty good, but again, not much else to compare it to around here. I ordered the onion loaf, not really knowing what it was. It appears they took fried onions and compressed them into a load. Should’ve guessed that one. Not horrible, but the amount of grease in them could have been strained and put in my fryer to make more fried onions.
The Caesar salad came with everything in a container. Now, its not that I cant cook, its just that ordering food means i’m too lazy to do anything that is required to make a meal. Putting all that shit into my salad is included.
I’ll probably order from them again because the options are so limited, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody driving.

Listen, if you’re going to BBQs looking for a memorable meal, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. This goes for all BBQs locations. This isn’t a gourmet restaurant and the food is pretty basic. But if you want to get the most out of your BBQs experience, order yourself any of their Texas-​sized drinks (only if you aren’t driving!), some wings, and kick back and relax. This is a place to go to if you want a cheap meal and strong drinks.
I come to this particular location pretty regularly and only once or twice did I receive unpleasant service. The service is usually great, the food almost always comes much sooner than you’d expect it to, and the food is consistent. Any of their wings are great, their burgers are much better than the other burger spot in the mall (*cough*), and the drinks are always tasty and strong.
It can get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights so expect a wait. But the place is pretty big and depending on the size of your party the wait shouldn’t be too long. As far as dining in Bay Plaza goes, BBQs is my pick, by far.
