Full disclosure: I canceled my membership because I just do not have the time to come here anymore and… I am a winter drop out. Did you know that personal trainer packages EXPIRE??? I purchased a 5 personal trainer session package right before I found out I was pregnant. After the baby came, I tried to pick up where I left off but had discovered that the 3 sessions I had left on my account expired. They should be like gift cards and never expire but I digress. I had to call the manager and he had to reinstate them. But wait there is more… Some trainers have a time-management problem. I had scheduled a session for 6am and he was about a half hour late. The other was a total NOSHOW. He actually texted the girl at the front desk that he was unable to make it. I was livid. My baby had teething issues around 5am and I still made it to our 8am appointment. No phone call or text to let me know before I trekked all the way to the gym that no one was going to be there for my personal trainer session that I had to jump through hoops to reinstate. I called to complain to the manager and he was very apologetic but this trainer experience put a bad taste in my mouth. Also, some trainers have a attention deficient disorder. While they are supposed to be working out with you, they are so busy socializing with other members. I don’t care about a greeting here and there but when you are going into sport scores and Facebook postings, I feel like I am wasting my time and money. In addition, this place is not shiny and new anymore. The leather cushion paddings on ab strength training devices are ripping, the floor looks filthy and the front desk people barely look up from their phones to greet you. I used to love going to this place but the honeymoon is over.

Good gym. As far as training in groups however, it seems that their policies are rather bias when it comes to what’s right and wrong. My friends and I were told to leave today bc the manager of this gym stated we were instructing exercises i.e. Personal training. His reason was that the man of the group wasn’t sweating and me and my female friend was. Secondly, he added that the man was instructing my friend on breathing techniques. Clearly this is bias!!! We all know there are some exercises that women do that men simply have no reason to so. In addition, he did NOT instruct anyone on «breathing techniques» whatsoever. The gym manager is lying 100%. He was no where near us during the short time we were exercising. In conclusion, I would like to say that this is the first time I was asked to leave a gym based on a persons assumptions, rather it be the manager or not. I jus hope this doesn’t happen to other fellow gym goers.

Great gym not a lot of young teens hanging out like planet jokeness on 3rd ave, great cardio equipment the only minus thing is nit enough gym equipment to work out with when it gets crowded.

Pros: –This specific gym has more machines, and equipment then other blink fitness gym. Nice amount of bench press machines. –This gym is huge. More then enough space to walk around other people. Cons: –This location don’t have free wifi connection. –3 machines I value in my workout routines where broken. That’s my take…

If you would have asked me a year ago when this gym opened I would have given this gym a 5 star. Now I see it more as a 3 star. It’s still a good gym to go to when you’re in the area. It has all of the necessary gym machines to have a good gym workout but it is missing some very important equipment. There are: — No bench press machines — No military press machines — No preacher curl machines So many people do curls and bench press in the power rack that it’s hard to get it to do squats. There is so much cardio equipment in here that is never used that could easily solve this this problem. My advice to staff is to remove some of the treadmills(on the left side upon entrance) and add some of the missing equipment

Gym is legit. I go in the am because it’s pretty much dead at 6am. I guess to use all the equipment I want. Nice to go early and be motivated by other people who take their workout serious as well.

Clean, affordable and there is natural sunlight available. I HATE working out in gyms without windows. The only con is the other members, there are a lot of dudes working on their prison muscles who hog the weight machines all day. This is a better location than the 4th street gym because it has more of a variety of cardio machines.

sure the price is great! sure the gym is well equipped and the staff is friendly. they make signing up so easy by providing you with an ATM like experience however when you need to cancel, even if its out of your way or inconveniences your life. this gym will not simply cancel my membership upon several requests. yes they have a policy, yes good employees follow the rules, however irate members that can not comply to their«methodolgy» as one of their reps so kindly puts it, they will simply REFUSE to assist. WHYDOYOUNEEDSOMANYSTEPSTOCANCELYOURMEMBERSHIP!!! If you are planning to join this gym, please by all means do so at your own risk. If you plan on leaving, maybe you should watch and old epsiode of friends where the gym doesnt let you leave when you want to. btw 45 days notice to cancel? why? so they can collect your final $ 20 bucks. god i hope this gym goes bankrupt. NYC do us New Yorkers a favor and increas their rent. Maybe NJ needs gyms that are one giant ponzi scheme.

Seemed like a really good gym for your daily or routine workout. I stopped by the gym just for a quick tour and to some basic information on the franchise before heading to my regular gym Planet Fitness 3rd Ave. I do like what I saw I must say. The gym was very clean, friendly staff, and very modern. It reminded me of a more affordable equinox. Which by the way was voted the best fitness center for 2012. So its a reasonable alternative to its heavily priced ideal. So they have everything on one floor. Which is kind of a down fall for me. However very spacious. It’s commodities include a large cardio section, four bench press machines(two are assisted and the other two are natural), and a large free weights /stretch area. If you live in the neighborhood and contemplating about joining a gym this should definitely be considered a strong contender. Im going to check out the other Blink Location on Concourse Village and compare locations and decide on which location to sign up for. By the way the only reason I gave this location 4 stars instead of 5 is because I didn’t have the opportunity to work out there. Just stopped by for a brief visit and tour. So please don’t be discouraged fellow Unilocalers :-)

Still having a great experience at Blink St. Anns, so glad I joined. I’ve lost 35 pounds since joining in May, it’s more than just the gym, you have to stay committed, change your diet, and stick with it, but a great gym like this makes it easy to stay motivated. I noticed that Blink just opened it’s newest location in Parkchester, I will check that one out no doubt, since I have the Blue membership, and I recommend those living in Parkchester to take advantage and join up, But St. Anns still the best, LOL.
