Angel’s Grill

Every time I’m in the bronx my boyfriend and I have to come to this place! Simply the best Spanish food around! The owner makes you feel right at home, visiting her has now become a routine! You get huge portions for so cheap. Its amazing i definitely recommend going!

I have only had takeout delivered from here. The food is fantastic. Their carnitas tacos (really the pernil) are really great. Last night I went in to pick up food and the place was filled with a large group of men. A little intimidating so I probably wouldn’t eat there but no problem waiting for the food. Their arroz con gandules is good, I had it with pernil and maduros last night. Highly recommended!

Ive tried spanish food from many other restaurants but this one is by far the best place! I soooo love the food

Never had bad food here and ate there a lot. Order off the menu or get something from the cafeteria style buffet. Cheap and easy for take out, I wouldn’t recommend eating there.

I have no idea why the first reviewer categorized Angel’s as «Mexican». You can get only just a few Mexican items: tacos, quesadillas & enchiladas. No guacamole, burritos, etc.
The GOOD STUFF at Angel’s is the LATIN AMERICAN fare: pernil, mofongo, arroz y gandules, tostones/​maduros… oxtail, tripe, goat, bacalao, pig feet… all with a homemade taste. They sell a lot of rotisserie chicken, which you can see and smell cooking through the glass doors of vertical ovens… yum!
The prices are very reasonable. The place is clean. The ambiance is takeout although there is wait service at the tables.

This place is awful! i once ordered a half of chicken with french fries and i had it delivered to me. when i opened the container the chicken had that nasty chicken smell when it’s dead. even though it was «supposely» cooked the chicken freaking stinked! on top of that the guy that delivered it to me was trying to yeep me he gave me a $ 5 bill and when i told him to give me change so i can give a tip he had already charged his tip out of my money and didn’t even tell me! so i can tip him again… bastard this place sucks and they act like they don’t make money cuz the yeep costumers. and the food is nasty as well. save your appetite & money. your better off having a big mac or some nuggets at mcdonald’s=]

Angel’s Grill: Can easily be overlooked as just another family owned ‘mexican’ restaurant. family owned, yes, but ‘just another mexican restaurant’? no. latin american food, chicken is freshly? grilled everyday, amazing chicken noodle soup and bean soup. cheesy d (cheeseburger deluxe for those of you who don’t know: cheeseburger and fries) is great at this joint; fries are mediocre, however. but stick to any of the set meals and you won’t be disappointed. prices are cheap which is a plus.
somewhat clean interior, i usually order for takeout; but then again i live just down the street.
