Good food but similar to any other tex-mex chain, nothing stand out. The portion sizes where massive and they brought chips, salsa, and queso out beforehand(one small serving per person) plus free refills alongside fresh corn and flour tortillas. The food was filling, and no one had complaints. The Margarita wasn’t packing much of a kick. A good place for average tex mex in a big group.

I don’t get the hype. A step above the drive-thru places but that’s it. Cheap, good place to go if you are paying for the ticket.

Awesome! We were in town for a soccer tournament, place was packed and the wait wasn’t long. One of the kids filled up on tortillas and chips, that’s the only«problem» with the bottomless chips, queso and salsa. Overall wicked cheap, cheese enchiladas were on par with one of my favorite Dallas spots and they know how to deal with large groups of kids. That’s a plus!

This is the best mexican i have ever had ! Yes its a little pricey, but you get free chips salsa and cheese then free homemade tortillas(the best i have ever had amazing flavor) then free sopapias for dessert !!! And the main meal(i had a chimichanga) is just incredible !!! Great service. I have nothing bad to say will returning again and again and again and again ! What they are cooking and doing should never be changed !!

Ted’s is so great! The food is really good, but the best part are all the complimentary things you get– free chips, salsa, queso, tortillas, and sopapillas. Given how inexpensive the food is, it’s almost amazing they turn a profit. You should expect there to be a wait during prime time, the restaurant will be busy and loud, and there will probably be lots of kids.

In response to Ted’s management question, yes this was my first visit. I would not hesitate to come back however, I live in Kansas. If I ever pass through again, I would certainly stop again. I very much believe my experience was an anomaly. I have heard there is a Ted’s in KC– which I’ll likely try out!

Nothing much suited us. The manager comped our meal. The margaritas were glasses full of ice with a little liquid. The queso was lousy. Salsas were average, at best. The crema corn was excellent. Enchilada dinner was just average. We will pass on this place forever. Our waitress, Faith, did her best to make things right. She was very accommodating & I was happy to leave her a hefty tip on our comped meal.

I was first introduced to Ted’s with a friend. I’ve been raving about the food to my husband and we finally had the opportunity to try it together this evening. He loved everything about it: the service, the atmosphere and«the BEST burrito I’ve had in a long time; really perfect»(his words). I appreciate a restaurant that repeatedly serves great food with great service. They start your meal with homemade tortillas and relish, thin, crisp and warm chips with both salsa and queso — all FREE! Then, save room for the end of the meal when each person receives a cinnamon sugar sopopilla with honey. For the two of us, dinner and soft drinks was $ 31.08 before the tip. A good deal for a very good meal.

First visit very impressed. Waitstaff friendly. Manager very visible. Food was good. Complimentary items were associated.

Everyone is insane about this place, and they’re always busy everytime I drive by. I don’t get it though. They’re all right, but nothing to rave about. I thought it was just this location, but I felt the same about an OKC location after I ate there. Anyway, the food is very average and can actually be a bit bland – not usually an adjective I associate with«Mexican» food. The tortillas are fantastic, but everything else I’ve tried(from my plate and friends’ plates) have fallen into the«average» category. It’s not awful, and I’d eat here if I was with a group who wanted it, but I wouldn’t come here of my own volition.

We just left Teds and are visiting from California. We came a couple of years and couldn’t wait to go back and they most definitely did not disappoint! We had a large party and they treated us like gold. We cannot believe the food and service at Teds. We also had several kids with us and they were quick, courteous and patient. At one point we asked our waiter for paper napkins and he accidentally forgot. When I reminded him he was so apologetic it was incredible how much they care about their customers. The manager also came by twice to check on us and you can tell he loves his job and cares a great deal about the excellence of his restaurant We will most definitely be visiting before we return to CA. The only negative we have is that we have to take a plane ride to get back to Teds! Well done!

After hearing so many good things, I decided to try Ted’s a couple of nights ago. We went in about 8:30ish and were greeted and seated immediately. We were served with chips and salsa, as well as queso, upon being seated. Our server then brought us warm tortillas as well(all of which were complimentary). Everything tasted great and freshly made. I ordered the Steak Tacos Carbon and my girlfriend ordered Enchiladas. The food came out very quickly, almost like it had been waiting for us to arrive. The steak in my Tacos was super flavorful and very tender. There are several side items to choose from other than the traditional rice and beans. We both had rice but I had Mashed Papas(potatoes) and my girlfriend had Corn Crema. Her Corn Crema was amazing. I could have eaten an entire entrée of it. The food was fantastic. Our server was named Josh(I think), and he took excellent care of us. He was quick with everything and very personable. He offered us complimentary Sopa Piaz, but we were so full we had to decline. He then offered to pack us some To-Go so we could have them later. The only negative I can say about Ted’s is that the prices per entrée are a little bit higher than you would find at other mexican restaurants, but when you factor in all the complimentary items, you are getting a pretty good deal. We will definitely be back!

This was the first time I have been to Teds. It was very busy. But we waited for our seats in the bar. The margaritas are«eh». But the food was great. The tortillas are so great. Our waiter was on top of things. We had plenty of drinks and tortillas before we even got low. The price is awesome for the amount you get.

Once seated you get free chips, salsa, queso, and tortillas. At the end of the meal you get free sopapillas. So I’m pretty sure people go for the free parts of the meal because the food isn’t really very good. It’s just mediocre. The free queso is actually kind of gross. It’s really runny and has no flavor. The fajitas were overcooked, but I’m finding that most Mexican places over cook them. My husband had the Chili Verde and it was actually very tasty. Moist and full of flavor. The strawberry and lime frozen margaritas were gross! They were full of sour mix and virtually no alcohol. Waste of money so we complained to the manager and he took them off our bill, and away from our table since we refused to drink them. Needless to say, it’s an ok place but not one we will frequent.

It was Sunday night at the end of the evening and we were just coming from the light display at the church down the street. We pulled into the parking lot just as the manager came out to lock the front door but when he saw us parking, he waited for us. I was amazed. It was obvious that the restaurant was at the end of their day, yet no one rushed us or made us feel unwelcome. The food was great and the service could not have been better. And we finished off with sopa pillas, which are one of my favorite things EVER. I haven’t had them in years! I was so excited. I left here very happy and this is definitely a restaurant on my «do it again» list. Well worth the drive to Broken Arrow.

«Is it training day?» Not a good question to be asking yourself in any establishment. While I don’t think the service was ever offensive at all, everyone(not just our tired but dutiful waitress) seemed tried during the early dinner rush. A waiter to a neighboring table even dropped multiple expletives to describe his day. While there were smiles to be seen, they scurried about and it just felt like everyone was ready to see you go– the ultimate bum rush. The good news: you get a lot of complimentary things. Salsas, chips, queso, tortillas, and even sopapeias! The bad news? The salsa looks like a soupy soapy mess that had us questioning if it had milk or something worse in it. The queso was watered down and tasted of soap(and not really cheese, which is weird). The other sauces cluttered up our table and didn’t really bring anything new. Tortillas were maybe the highlight of the meal. We got a chicken dish and a pork dish, trying to go outside our comfort area. Both were okay– the chicken was the better option offering a flavorful option that we both liked. Unfortunately, everything else was pretty bland. The worst offender was the corn con crema– there were bits of plastic(think from a chewed up plastic fork) in the food. I was frustrated and ready to go– but I do have to commend the manager on duty for taking a moment to ask about the meal(even if it was as we were leaving). I shared some honest feedback. I hadn’t been here before and I don’t know if I’d return. Maybe this was just one randomly bad experience.

We had excellent service today at Ted’s Café Escondido. The wait staff and managers all worked together to make sure everything we needed was taken care of. We have been here several times now and have decided that this is still one of the best Mexican restaurants in Tulsa area. The food is delicious, the appetizer set-up is awesome, and the service is outstanding. Still my favorite Mexican in Tulsa-BA area.

1st time to try. Great service! I ordered the shrimp and steak fajitas, my wife had the chicken chimichanga. Both where amazing!!. The only thing this place needs is a white sauce for there chips. The manager did bring out complementary guacamole that was great with the crisp thin chips.

Pros: Great for large parties. They were prompt in seating me and my 8 coworkers. The perfect margarita was wonderful. It was the right balance of tart and sweet; and patron is the best tequila. My coworkers gorged themselves on free chips, queso, and salsa. I generally avoid gluten, but I had to eat a free sopapilla; couldn’t resist. Decent beef tamale. Good service. Plenty of parking. Cons: Queso was bland. I really really wanted to add salt to it, but didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of my coworkers. Nothing exceptionally bad, but not great either. I wouldn’t come back here of my own accord.
