After getting ice cream from Cold Stones, my friend and I always come here and look at the view. We usually watch the set on the East. Or when we want to watch the planes take off from JFK Airport we watch it from the west. Its a nice chill stop . There are always other cars around, so don’t expect to be alone when you get there. The cops don’t really bother you either.

Seventeen Road Playground(aka Broad Channel Park) sits in Broad Channel waterway of 20th Road on Cross Bay Boulevard adjacent to Queens Library– Broad Channel Branch. This small local playground serves the neighborhood of Broad Channel, is the only island community in Jamaica Bay. It stands on Big Egg Marsh, an island approximately 20 blocks long and 4 blocks wide containing baseball field, basketball court, handball court, a children playgrounds surprisingly including a tennis court. Small does NOT limit to number of features, as big does not technically imply better, yet to my pleasant surprise Seventeen Road Playground contain all these recreational sport equipment. As one utilizes the tennis courts, playground patrons will visibly see airplanes landing and taking off in the background from nearby J.F.K. Airport. It’s a playground, NOT a park thereby no trees exist in this small space.
