I have been a patient here but will not be returning. It is not because of the doctor or the level of care I’ve directly received from the doctor, or from his nurse practitioner. It is because the office does not meet my needs. I called to make an appointment for health symptoms I have that are similar to those I had with 2 different health issues in past years. The secretary said she couldn’t make me an appointment outside my work shift hours for at least 3 weeks. That is too long in my opinion, especially for the general doctor who’s usually your first go-to person. When my specialist called to say they were able to move up my annual follow-up appointment sooner, since I had health symptoms reminisce of my past related health problem, I went to this office to get a referral. This meant going into the office in person to fill out the paper form. When I submitted it, the secretary had me wait 5 – 10 minutes just to preach that she wouldn’t give me a referral until I saw the general doctor first, for the purpose of getting the referral. I’d just seen him three months prior!!! So it wasn’t like I hadn’t ever been there before or hadn’t been there recently. I explained that I wanted to see the general doctor but they couldn’t get me an appointment in a timely fashion. The whole purpose of me going to the specialist was because they weren’t able to get me an appointment with the general doctor anytime soon. She just gave me a snotty blank look. Because of this, I am changing doctors to an office that not only is able to give a new patient an appointment 4 days from now(as opposed to 21 days from now at this office), but they do not require me to see the doctor first for each and every referral I need.
