There are two places in Bristol to get a good breakfast, Gillies and Gina’s. The chocolate chip pancakes were a big hit with my son, but the French toast was not as big a hit with my other son. Our server was excellent, she was goofing around with my youngest son and filled up his pancake with whipped cream. He love that. I had the eggs Benedict, and they were terrific. But the thing that stands out the most, was when they brought me a glass of orange juice it was not in one of those tiny little glasses that was barely more than two sips. It was at least a pint if not more. I’ll definitely be going back to ginas next time I’m in town.

Best breakfast! Consistently great! I have never had a hard time getting into a table even in the busiest of times. The staff are always moving and getting people on their way. So happy to have an awesome breakfast spot in town.

I had the opportunity to dine at Gina’s twice recently when I came to the area with a group of friends for the weekend. This became our go-to place for breakfast. A smaller group of us had no problem being seated quickly on Saturday. On Sunday, a larger group of us had to wait a bit longer than expected to be seated at several tables. But in both cases the food came out quickly and was consistently delicious. Gina’s touts their hash browns, and rightly so. These are by far the best hash browns I have had since my last visit to a Waffle House — 22 years ago! Others in my party who ordered home fries instead were equally satisfied. Coffee, at $ 1.49, is strong, refilled frequently, and included with some breakfast specials. The words«omelette,» «burrito,» «hash,» and«Irish» figure into a significant number of menu items. The eggs in all their dishes are light and fluffy. The burritos are full of flavor without being filling. When my group — which tends to be raucous — is completely quiet, you know they are enjoying the meals. The staff are both efficient and entertaining, almost as entertaining as the variety of signs adorning wall space all over the place. This is a great place to start your day.

The food is good. The first time I went here I was impressed to see fresh shredded hash browns. But the second time the service kind of didn’t impress me. I really want to go back and have a good experience. So I’m going to give 4 based on a good first impression and hopefully not be disipointed again.

Gina’s is everything you want from a Lakes’ Region breakfast place. The food is good, it’s clean, it’s in a nice location and above all else, the staff is friendly, personable and fun to talk to. There’s an abundance of regulars too. Gina’s is a great place to grab a bite to eat in the morning.

Great, quick attentive service. This is your typical breakfast place with cheap, good, mildly greasy food. My only criticism is that I wish they had more pancake flavors!

Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant a low rating. I came here for breakfast with my partner and we shared the same experience. Pros: The service was fast and friendly. Good portion sizes at affordable prices. Cons: The food did not taste good. Bland and unseasoned. The waitress forgot our order of bacon, she was kind to acknowledge it and fix it, but then brought us out inedible burnt bacon.

My family and I just had an excellent lunch here. They offer both breakfast and lunch menus, ordered off of both. Wonderful homemade French onion soup with homemade croutons. Good tuna salad sandwich on homemade bread, baked on the premises. Both the tomato and the lettuce on the sandwich were fresh and delicious, no easy feat. My husband said his Reuben was one of the best he’d had, and he would know; it came with skin-on home made french fries, well seasoned. Our kid liked her hash and eggs, accompanied by nice home fries. Friendly service, nice cosy local ambiance. For what it is — a small local breakfast and lunch spot in a small New England town — you can’t do any better than Gina’s.

I stopped by here for lunch recently. Gina’s Place(formerly Sidewalk Café) is a casual country restaurant serving up breakfast and lunch in a homey atmosphere. Country music can be heard playing in the background. The breakfast menu offerings include a variety of egg dishes(bennies, filet & eggs, scramblers), 3 egg omelettes, breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, country fried steak, pancakes, French toast, waffles, and breakfast sides. The lunch menu offerings include soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, hot dogs, fried seafood, and sides. THe prices here are reasonable, $ 3.49-$ 9.99 for most items. The breads and baked goods are homemade and the fries are fresh cut. For lunch, I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich($ 6.99) served with fries. The pulled pork sandwich was a good size, slow roasted hand pulled pork smothered in a «sweet» BBQ sauce, caralmelized onions and melted cheese on an open face flour dusted soft bulkie roll. The pulled pork was very tender, but the special BBQ sauce was way too sweet, like eating sugar, SUGARRUSH! The side of fresh cut fries tasted pretty good, but the texture was soft and not crisp. The service was acceptable. The food came out quickly and dropped off quickly(drop & run) to my table. I was checked on once during lunch to see how things were as the check was dropped off too. With an ice water(tap), the check total for lunch was $ 7.62 with tax and before tip. (3.33÷5.00) for lunch
