My wife and I had lunch the other day. The food was good and the service was great. It has a fun atmosphere and very clean. Id love to experience the night life here. We will definitely be back.

I have always experienced good food, atmosphere, and service here. This is where I go for good Irish Cuisine in Brighton.

Stopped in for dinner after doing some shopping in the area. We were worried it would be very busy as it was getting close to 5pm on a Saturday, but we were seated and got our drinks ordered right away. Drinks came quickly and our food orders were taken. My boyfriend got the shepherds pie and cheddar bacon soup. The soup was delicious! Very creamy with large chunks of fluffy potatoes. I would return just for that. I got the chicken sandwich with pineapple, which was a very large sandwich but nothing too special. Their house chips are pretty good as well. Will definitely return to try other things.

I travel 44 weeks out of the year and eat out every single meal. So in a sense I have become a food snob. This is my fourth visit to Stout and I have not been disappointed yet. The food is very good and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. I have had the crumbled bleu salad with salmon twice and it was delicious both times The patio and fire pit is very comfortable and inviting. Staff is also very kind and courteous. This is a must when in Brighton!

It was a descent place. It was no worst or better than the next. Could be more parking.

We are staying in the area and looking for nice places to eat. We will be putting this one in the top of the list. Starting with service, our server Jamie was very friendly and gave a lot of info on the menu items. My husband and I both had the Reuben with homemade waffle chips and I also had the Cheesy potato and scallion soup. Corned beef was very tender and moist and plenty of it and soup was not overly cheesy and very tasty. Prices were very reasonable and quantities are very good. We sat for quite a while and got to talk with a lot of locals. People are very friendly here. Also a plus you can play keno here. Looking forward to our next visit and trying some of the other menu items. Keep up the good work.

Great food — always have excellent service. We really enjoy dining on the patio because it is away from the street(no noise or exhaust). The onion straws and cod bites are our fav apps.

The interior is nice and all, but this doesn’t really give off a traditional«Irish pub» vibe to me. First off, it’s way too loud — not noisy, boisterous fun like an Irish pub, but loud in general in a sports bar kind of way. The music was too loud(I never say that, either) and seemed inappropriate for the atmosphere they do seem to be trying to project. As for the food, the French Onion soup is really good. When it came to drinks, it’s pretty much just standard cocktails and beer options. Yes, they had Guinness, but what self-respecting Irish bar wouldn’t have it as well? As for the service, it was slow and continued to get slower throughout the night. I had to grab my check from the bartender at the bar and we weren’t even sitting at the bar. Our server pulled a major disappearing act. My husband and I both left with mega headaches. Here comes the migraine…

Good food, great service and a fair price. I would have liked a better Irish selection. I had the Chili which was fantastic. Main course was the Bangers & Mash, good stiff but needed more gravy. If in Brighton again I would go back. Staff was friendly and helpful, pub almost had an authentic Irish feel to it but as a little too modern.

Grabbed a few drinks and a quick meal here last night. Its a cool spot and seemed pretty popular. My date and I originally put our names in for a table(there was, unsurprisingly, a wait) but took a spot at the bar instead. The bartender was quick to get our drinks but after 10 minutes of waiting we finally had to ask for a menu to eat. Although the bar isn’t the ideal spot to have dinner, we were surprised we were not asked if we would like a menu. We ordered oysters and the fresh chips and onion dip to start. The chips and dip were great, fresh and warm. They oysters were sub par. For the entrée I ordered the Shepherds Pie and my guy had the Corned Beef and Cabbage. The pie had a nice flavor but was very soupy, not the consistency it should have been. The beef and cabbage was disappointing. If this were a random place serving up Corned Beef and Cabbage we would’ve given it a pass however, Stout is supposed to be an Irish pub! This dish should’ve been top notch and I expect nothing less of a place dubbed so. The Corned Beef was dry, flimsy and tasted cheap and the cabbage and veggies were equally bland to match. Aside from the food, the atmosphere was lively and the gentleman providing music was a nice touch. There was an extremely intoxicated man who was quite obnoxious sitting a few stool away. He began an impromptu arm wrestling match and got very loud and rude when we grabbed two spots at the bar. Apparently he felt some of his drunk buddies surrounding him deserved those spots. It was unsettling that none of the employees were bothered by his shenanigans and allowed him to be obtrusive. Not their finest moment in hospitality. I would like to give this place a second chance, my hope is that it was an off night. Here’s to hoping our experience was the exception and not the norm.

The food was OK… Corned beef and cabbage was about the extent of the Irish fare. Disappointing? Yes, but the real disappointment was the service. Three of us sat at the bar and had to ask for refills from a bartender with the personality of a wet mop. She was attentive to removing empty plates right away… I think the message was«you should go… You’re bothering me». I think I will head to McDonald’s next time… That name sounds Irish also.

Decided to come here for dinner to watch the game after Buffalo Wild Wings had an hour wait and previously having a good experience for drinks here. Dinner was good, and fast. We got happy hour price on drinks until 6(which the waitress was nice enough to give us a heads up about). French fries were actually awesome, chip basket was great, fish and chips were great and my husband said his fighting Irish burger was just okay. My biggest complaint was the $ 1 charge for my daughters milk. Their kids menu said(and I quote) «Meals come with a fountain drink or milk», and when I pointed it out to our previously awesome waitress, she told me the milk was an up charge. No, your menu says it’s included. No star with fine print, no nothing. She told me she’d ask the manager and then acted like she did me a favor when the charge was removed. Had she just humbly come back and told me she was mistaken, or really apologized in any way, this would be a 5 star rating based on this visit.

I’ve been here many times, but this was my first time eating here. Service was speedy and the server was very helpful and pleasant. The food was superb! I had cod tacos, and my friend had Irish sliders with bacon cheddar and scallion soup. My friend loved the soup. Overall, no complaints, solid food and service! And if you are looking for a place in downtown Brighton with good, reasonably price food, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Great Burger(although it does get pricey fast by adding condiments and French fries). The potato, cheese and bacon soup was out of this world, it has mashed potatoes spooned into the bottom of it and we enjoyed dipping everything into that cheesy/potatoey goodness. The Southwest chicken sandwich we ordered with the half soup and half Sammy was excellent as well. Overall, we had excellent food that night and want to return to try more. BTW, we weren’t supposed to order that Sammy as their special is limited to a few choices, but they accommodated our order anyways

Meh, it was alright. Nothing impressive. They did nickel and some me for extra condiments on my Black and Bleu burger, which I was disappointed with. Overall, it was not a memorable experience, but also not a disappointing experience. The waitress was pleasant and prompt; albeit a bit young. They soda pop selection was very much lacking and limited to only three flavors. AND they had no Vernors which is my favorite soda pop. If you want a quick, but pricey burger stop by here and try it out

In town for a wedding. Driving thru town and found the pub on Unilocal.Fish and chips were very good. The slaw wasn’t too saucy, I liked it. Got some mac and cheese as a side; VERY good! My brother had the salmon, said it was very tasty as well.

My friend and I came here for dinner one evening this past week. We weren’t really sure if we were going to just drink or eat as well. I was seated immediately and texted my friend my location. Just as he sat down in front of me, the waitress stalked over. She had the personality of a piece of sandpaper. I don’t think she smiled one time the entire evening. She demanded to know what we were going to drink. We literally hadn’t even cracked open the menus yet. So hurriedly, we chose our drinks and away she went. We chit chatted for a moment and she came back with our drinks. Again, she demanded to know what we wanted to eat. We had been in the restaurant probably a total of five minutes. Really? Chill out! It wasn’t like it was packed and she was frantically rushing between tables. We told her we’d stack our menus on top of one another and leave them by the side of the table when we were ready to order. She seriously stalked us for about an hour. It was to the point of being bothersome and creepy. Finally we ordered. I got a chicken Caesar wrap and my friend got the Cobb salad. I wanted veggies instead of chips. Our waitress didn’t deliver our food, another waitress did. I had chips, not vegetables but I didn’t complain. The chips were pretty horrible, tasteless. My wrap wasn’t even cut in half. It was big roll of stuff that was open on both ends. It tasted alright but it was annoying to half to cut it and it got all mushy with a stupid butterknife. She came back when we were almost done with our meals and asked how everything was. It was a wasted effort on her part. Perhaps she was just crazy but the food wasn’t anything to write home about either. I don’t think I’ll ever bother with another visit here.
