All About The Dog Boston

I’ve been using AATD to board my dog for 5 years, since I first moved to Boston, and I’ve never had a reason to consider going anywhere else. The rates are very affordable, $ 40/​night for one dog.
They’re always great with my dog. She’s happy to go with them, and comes home tired and happy. One time I had to go out of town just 2 weeks after my dog had surgery on her back leg, so I was a little worried as she could barely walk. They took great care of her, she came back to me healthier than when I left her.
In fact, they’re the ones that told me my dog needed the surgery. She had been having some problem with her leg, but I wasn’t too worried about it yet. After taking care of her for a few days, they asked me if I noticed her leg. They told me that she would probably need the surgery. After multiple vet visits and a surgery consult at Angell, I was told my dog needed the exact surgery that Erika had told me my dog needed.
They don’t answer their phones, they prefer to communicate by text, but they are responsive to my texts, so I guess that’s ok. But when it comes to taking care of my dog, there are no complaints. Overall, great service.

When we first started using AATD we had a really good experience. Overall, Erika was always on time, reliable and accomodating. In terms of service she is great. (And note we only used her for boarding). Towards the end of 2010 I think she moved outside of the city and had a yard for the dogs to run in. Once she was at the new house for some reason our dog seemed to have issues each time he went. He would come home really hungry and acting in a way that was un-​like himself, at times he was also hesitent to go with her. The final time she watched him he came home with a huge gash on the back of his head. We took him to the vet and the vet said he probably just provoked an agressive dog.
Our dog is a puppy and is super energetic so I suspect that he may have been provoking some of the other dogs that did not want to play. Definitely understandable, but it seems like she was not properly watching the pups when they had play time. It also seemed like maybe the other dogs were eating his food since he always seemed famished when he came home. We can’t be too sure. I really want to give this service a higher mark, since she had great availability and was always reliable and accomodationg, but ultimately it is about how comfortable our pup’s visit was when he was there. We always feel bad enough about leaving him, and I feel like there are better more reliable services in the city now – albeit they are more expensive, AATD was only $ 40/​night.

I have been using AATD since getting our Boston Terrie in March of last year! This company is absolutely amazing. My dog comes home happy and very tired. :) I have also used AATD for boarding, which was amazing. I had a lot of anxiety about boarding our dog but with AATD it like having a second home. I am so happy knowing that my dog is well taken care of!

Like everyone else, I love AATD! I am so happy with the pick up and delivery as well as the availability, price, and enthusiasm. My dog is happy and healthy when he comes home and its such a relief to know he’s being well taken care of when I’m gone.

All About the Dog is the best thing that has ever happened to my GSP Emma and me! They are so nice and willing to take her at a moments notice if I have a last minute plan. Erika and Angela watch her when we go away and she always comes home happy and pooped! Emma loves them, I love them!

All About The Dog Boston is FANTASTIC! Our two little dogs (one is 3.5yrs and the other is almost 1yo) just adore Erika and Angela and love going on their daily hikes, and they love staying with them when we go away. Erika has seen both the dogs go through puppyhood and has been great with all that that entails! (and that is quite a bit, they may be small but they are a handful — literally and figuratively!).

I agree with what other have written. Erika runs a great business that the humans and the dog in our family both love. She’s trustworthy and bends over backward to help us when we need it (though puppyhood, injury, surgery, etc…) I can’t imagine trying to raise our puppy without her help. Our dog is thrilled to see her when she arrives, and a joy to be around on the weekdays when he goes out with her (otherwise, he’s a real pill!)

Our dogs love AATDBoston! Our more active dog goes on trips to the Fells with Erika (one of the owners) every day, where she gets to run and play and comes home tired and happy. Both dogs have boarded with Erika on numerous occasions — it’s great because your dogs can stay at her house and not in a cage somewhere. Erika just loves dogs, and they love her — if we say «Erika?» to our dogs, they run to the front door and start wagging their tails! I can’t recommend this service enough!

This service is awesome! I have had tons of walkers in the past but this company is the best. I have a very active boxer who loves to run, and this service totally helps him exercise and play. They have a great, affordable off-​leash dog service. Wonderful boarding as well. I totally trust the owners with my dog.
