After a day on the mountain, this is a great place to visit. Delicious food and beer. Great customer service. A little pricey but not bad. We beat the rush so we didn’t wait long. The place is very popular and gets packed!

this place is a very cool brewpub that is 20 minutes from Killington. Good food, beer, and atmosphere.

Being from Buffalo, we are pretty particular about our beers/bars/food. With that being said, this place totally blew my mind. My best friend and I took the 6 hour drive up to VT to snowboard at Killington, but we came up a night early with not much to do, so a quick Google search of nearby breweries brought us here. On this one, I’m going to have to pull a line from my man Scotty P… «No Ragrets. The food you ask? Absolutely amazing. My buddy got chicken wings(Yeah I know, how bold to go from wings from Buffalo to the rural mountains of VT). Being a stand-up guy, he let me try one and it pains me to say this, but they are better than 95% of the wings I’ve had in WNY. Absolutely impressive. They even have homemade blue cheese which is phenomenal. I got a philly steak and fries, which was also amazing. But damn, those wings were on point. The beer was also absolutely incredible. I got a double-ipa called Rocket Juice, higher IBU, and 8.7% ABV and it was awesome. It came in a 16oz can which I thought was interesting also. Also, a great bonus, was that they sell 64oz growers for $ 3! And they’ll fill them for you while you sit at the table. I think I paid $ 14 for 64oz of a delicious IPA and a very nice growler. Can’t beat it. The service was also great, our waitress was genuinely friendly and absolutely a riot. There was also a little gift shop with a bunch of merch that was pretty reasonable, also.(I bought a Long Trail pint glass for $ 4) The only downfall I could find was that they’re only open until 7pm. If this place put a couple pool tables and dart boards, I could hang out there all night. Awesome beer and amazing food is all I ask for when dining out, and this place NAILEDIT. 10 thumbs up. I’m using your thumbs, also. Maybe a couple big toes. –Jake

Fun place, try it after a day of snowmobiling or skiing. Great beer selection, they always have a farmhouse ale in rotation, they also have some good stout called Unearthed. The food here is good, not mind blowing but solid. Chili is can’t miss after a long day in the cold. They have cold beer to go along with a bunch of nice things that are reasonably priced in the gift shop.

Came here during my trip at Killington over«winter break.» The place was super crowded because of the lack of snow on the ground, so it seemed like everyone opted to go drink instead. The first time, we were told the wait was 1.5 hours, the second time, we were told a 45 minute wait and attempted to do the wait, fortunately we were sat after about 25 minutes(every single one of those 25 minutes used was spent waiting at the bar, because the bar tenders seemed to pick and choose whom they wanted to serve, rather than chronological order/FIFO). The food menu wasn’t vast, but the cheddar cheese soup was delicious. So rich with cheese flavor. The server that we had, you could tell was trying to do her job, but it came off as rude. I won’t count that against her since it seemed like everyone and their mom was there that day. To sum it up, I’m here for the cheese.

Fun/random thing I witnessed: a man who was obviously a regular sat down at the bar a couple seats away from me, and asks if there is any new beer he should try. Bartender grabs a tasting glass and offers a taste of one of the beers, and in return, the patron gives the bartender a small sample of cheese, saying«try this!». They shake hands, and the patron, who likes the taste, orders a full glass of it. Just one of those Vermont things, where you trade beer and cheese. Bartender was great… I told him what type of beer I like and he chose one for me that was spot on. I had a hearty bowl of cheddar ale soup, which hut the spot on a rainy day. Friendly patrons as well… they chatted with me while I was waiting for my lunch. Large dining room with a u-shaped bar… friendly and casual atmosphere with views of beer production tanks and a gift shop/counter area for all your T-shirt and souvenir needs.

We found this on Unilocal while on our trip to Killington for some snowboarding. It was near our hotel so we decided to stop by. At first I thought the brewery had a tour but it was a self tour, pretty short. i was able to finish the tour in about 5 minutes. They also have an area where you can purchase tshirts, hoodies and flannels along with their beers. Pretty neat if you are looking for a souvenir. The host said the wait was about 45 minutes or so and we arrived around 1:30. It was super crowded even at the bar if you wanted to get a beer. We finally got a table and our server(shannon) was super nice. I had the cheddar ale soup, hearty and filing and the philly cheese steak. I would of preferred a nicer type of sub roll and a bit of green peppers and onions in my cheese steak. It was decent but nothing to die for. The rest of the people in my party had the burger, which was good. Overall, a good experience but I think I would try another brewery next time.

If you enjoy craft beer and the winter, this place is your paradise. Myself and a few friends visited recently and really loved it. If you’re a first timer, the first thing to do is walk the observation deck. You get to watch the entire bottling to boxing process and it’s a very interesting experience. They have a good variety of beers on tap, probably 15 on the day we visited. They have a good variety of beers so there is definitely something for everyone. After grabbing a beer my friends and I sat in the back«cabin» that had cool wood tables and an incredible view of the river which was coated in ice and snow. There’s also an outdoor firepit with real wood which makes a great spot for a photo. Very cozy brewery with a great selection of beers.

It’s no surprise that Long Trail is one of the more popular destinations to visit when staying in Killington or the surrounding area. If you’re not big on skiing or being outside in frigid temps, then spending a day at the brewery with amazing brews and food is most certainly not a bad way to pass the time. Unfortunately, you and every other lazy non skier staying in the area over NYE weekend has got the same idea. When I came in on a Thursday for lunch, the wait was 45 minutes. We stayed and had a beer while we waited which was totally fine. However, when I came back the following Saturday the wait was 2 hours. Not happening. Especially when you are haaaangry. I’m really glad that I got to come here at least once, because I had a great time. I’ve tried some of the more classic Long Trail brews that are widely distributed, but it was cool to try some of their harder to find ales and their pumpkin seasonal was one of the better pumpkin beers that I’ve had. It’s not easy to find great food in this area, and everyone in my group was satisfied with what they ate. I had a hot dog and fries, which was classic and delicious. Some of the other standouts at the table were a creamy cheddar ale soup, a fried chicken sandwich and buffalo wings with homemade sauce. Although we sat at one of the dining tables in the main room, I also noticed that they had a tented beer garden area with fire pit which seemed like a fun hangout space. Because the brewery overlooks the river, it would definitely be nice to come back in the summer and sit outside with a brew in hand. Hopefully next time the wait is not as long!

I’ve been coming here for years, ever since they opened their location here. The staff is so great, the beer is delicious, and the food is wonderful. The atmosphere in the summer is great with the outdoor dining, and in the winter it is nice indoors as well. They used to have great popcorn which I really looked forward to. Apparently that left recently and they’ve replaced it with these stale chips that are made out of leftovers from the brewing process. They’re good considering that’s what they’re made of, but without knowing that, they’re really not so hot. Bring back the popcorn!

Came here one day to hang out, have some beers, and eat. It was absolutely packed with an hour and a half wait, but I stuck around since there was enough room to hang out and have a beer or two. Plus a fire pit outside! The more roomy places though are outdoors or in a semi heated seating area, so bundle up if you’re visiting in the winter and expecting a long wait! For beer, I tried the Mostly Cloudy, Cranberry gose, and their standard long trail ale. All three were OK. And since I’m not afraid to admit I love fruity beer, I have to say I really miss Blackbeary! The table I sat at had a wobbly chair, and there seemed to be no way to escape the cold inside, but the service was good! The food was so so. Started off with the nachos, which were tasty salty chips with tomato salsa and sour cream. Nothing amazing, but went well with beer. Had the Long Trail burger with fries and no pickle. The burger was pretty boring, but the fries were great. All in all pretty average experience at Long Trail.

Good beer, good food, what’s not to like. I have eaten and drank at the Long Trail brewery a number of times over the past years. It has been consistently as source of good beer and good food. Pub food, yes, but good pub food. As for the beer, it’s one of my favorite. You can go for a beer tasting, I think I counted about eight varieties, or you can go to drink and eat. This time we were opting for the latter. MK had a Caesar salad, in a pub?, that was reported to be very good. I will report that the burger and fries were fantastic as well. The beer is up to the high Long Trail standard and there were a number of offerings that you don’t get in the flatlands. Service was very good, as usual, and prices are reasonable. My only disappointment was the absence of the dynamite onion rings that I’ve had there in the past. There are fond memories associated with them that I won’t get into here. Worth a detour and a visit. I’ll definitely stop by if I’m around.

Absolutely love this place. I’ve always loved their beer and recently had a chance visit the brewery and it was everything I had hoped. When we first arrived on a Saturday it was pretty busy. It was less busy on Sunday(because we loved it and went again). We grabbed a beer at the bar and headed to the outdoor space. Located on the Ottaquaquechee River, it’s surrounded by beautiful Vermont scenery. Adirondack chairs, picnic tables and a patio. Once seated, the sausage and cheese plate was the perfect starter. Featuring Vermont cheddar cheese, roasted garlic cloves and baked bread — it was on point. My boyfriend got the Longtrail burger and I got the steak and cheese, both of which were cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly which is pretty typical for a brewery. There was a self guided tour on a cat walk upstairs where you can see the brewing process below and little plaques that explained the work flow. If you’re in Vermont I highly recommend stopping here(even it it means going a little out of your way)!

Great brewpub, tucked into the Vermont country of rolling hills, deep gorges, and antique dealers every few miles. The food menu is short, and to the point. The beer tap menu is long, and is the point.

It was a long wait for our party of 8 on labor day weekend. (Much longer than the ½ hour we were told. Actually over an hour.) I don’t drink beer, but I walked the self guided tour of the brewery while I waited. The burger I had was OK, but others at my table raved about the steak and cheese sandwich and the chili dogs. The back beer garden area we were seated at was cute. Hops were growing next to us and you had a view of the river as well. The other guests at my table enjoyed some Long Trail Ale. If I’m back in the area, I’d stop in again, but with a smaller group & ordering something other than a burger.

Lets start this review off my saying I am by no means a craft beer drinker so I wasn’t thrilled when I heard we were coming here but in the end I’m glad we went. We walked in and were seated rite away by the hostess at a high top table. We looked over the drink menu and I decided on the sampler while the boys ordered a long trail ale. We were hungry and decided on ordering up some food to go with our beers. I decided on beer battered onion rings and my bf got the chili with chips. Our beers came out rite away and we started sipping. My sampler was a bit overwhelming for a Corona drinker like myself but in the end I found my mostly cloudy was my winner and I would def buy some to drink next time I’m thirsty, the others were a bit to robust for my liking so I gave them to my friends to finish after I had my tasting. My onion rings were HUGE, amazing, light and not too greasy which I enjoyed. My bf’s chili was the bomb and I ate about half of it which he wasn’t too happy about but hey whats yours is mine rite? I would come back for the food alone! They also have an observation deck where you can watch the beer being brewed and I believe they have a tour you can go on as well which we didn’t do. They also have a small retail area that you can purchase shirts and other Long Trail apparel. We will definitely be back soon for more of that chili and a pint of mostly cloudy!

This was a really fun brewery to visit. We got flights and then did the self-guided tour(honestly, if you’ve seen one long brewery tour, you get it, so their quick & easy«Observation Deck» was on point in my book). The beer was delicious and the staff was friendly. There is also an adorable outside seating area. Unfortunately, we were not hungry enough to try the food, but the menu had some great selections on paper.

Brilliant food at bargain prices! Eating outside is really nice, sitting right by the water and is really relaxing. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a shop inside where you can buy various items baring the Long Trail logo. I don’t actually drink beer, but my husband was very impressed with the selection of beers available and on our weekend visit to the area we returned about 3 times! We had food on our last visit, I had the chilli which was very good and really tasty. The portion sizes are large and at such great prices.

Loving the brewery, this is my first visit, but bring back the blackberry wheat! For the love of god, it was my favorite beer! Do you need 2 ipas? I stocked up on the bw when I heard they were being discontinued. I have 2 left, they don’t taste great anymore, but it’s all about the sentimental value at this point. What a great beer that was discontinued. As for the food, it was solid. Wings were good. Had a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was grilled and good. Roll was dry and everyone who had this type of roll agreed. Best meal was the bbq burger which I split– savory and delicious. Thick slabs of bacon and the burger was perfectly cooked to my liking of med-rare. Service was more than friendly and the ambiance along the stream was beautiful. So for the rating I went back and forth. Food was delicious for some orders, ok for others. Awesome ambiance(I spent a half an hour skipping rocks in the stream) and the music was very good– an eclectic mix ranging from band of horses to Bob Dylan. I’m still pretty upset about the blackberry wheat(and what happened to the pollenator??) so all the beers are pretty heavy and in the bland side. Plus stars for some minus for others, four at the end of the day.
