If you like the following, you will love this Kmart: 1. complete and utter disorganization in terms of sectional alignment and classification 2. super slow cashiers with bad attitudes* 3. horrid selection of merchandise when compared to Target or Walmart Pro: they have almost everything under the sun so if you are in need of something, you can likely find it or something like it here *I understand that these cashiers work year-round and have to deal with many different levels of bitchiness and snobbiness in the Hamptons, however, it is a job and one in which customer service doesn’t hurt. This Kmart serves its purpose, but it is just an annoying trip to get whatever you need.

Caldor closed and we didn’t get a Target or even a Walmart. No, KMart. When the store first opened, it was pretty horrible… ghetto, even. However, in the past couple of years, Bridgehampton’s super store has been stepping it up in terms of quality. A huge renovation gave the store a less customer friendly layout(electronics in the front, toiletries in the back), but more aesthetically pleasing look. Also, there’s definitely more quality control, so you can buy a blender without worrying that you’ll have to bring it back because it’s broken. Since the bankruptcy scare(and incarceration), the Martha Stewart line is actually carrying things that are not only affordable, but cute. Not everyone who lives in the Hamptons can afford a $ 30 dishrag(unfortunately,:(I fall into this category). KMart offers a great all purpose store and things like kitchen supplies that are affordable. The clothes are pretty atrocious, but now that Land’s End is renting a portion of the store, you can buy decent clothes there, too!

Actually one of the nicer K-marts I have visited. In need for basics, I recommend.
