The staff are helpful and friendly each and every time I stop in for pool & Green Egg supplies.

Please pay attention to the reviews listed here. I didn’t and now we are paying the price. Buy your pool anywhere but here. Pool and Spa Depot has GREATSALESPEOPLE and all they care about is getting the contract signed. Once that is done all bets are off. They have every excuse in the book — permits take weeks(1 day), cancellations and delays due to the weather when there was in fact no weather for two weeks — and now that there has been we won’t see them for weeks. Your project manager goes on vacation(whole project shuts down), there was rain in another county(way too wet to do anything even though the dirt in your pool is cracking because we haven’t seen rain in weeks). All you will get is a summer of a completely torn up back yard, mounds of dirt waiting, cigarette butts and soda cans in the gaping hole in your yard and birds nesting in whatever work they managed to complete 4 weeks ago. We were told that our pour would be two weeks ago, then a week ago, then this weekend and now today. We don’t get an update unless we call to complain — and then were told that if we complained too much work would actually«slow down». The pour won’t happen today because there are no forms built for the pour(and no workers) and the one day of rain that we have had in the last month did leave the pool with standing water(fabulous for mosquitoes). I don’t believe a word that they say anymore because they lie. Not once but repeatedly. They will say whatever it takes to get you to buy — and then whatever it takes to prevent you from going to the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had never set foot in their store — and gone with a much smaller pool company that actually cared about my business. Our friends bought a pool from another company at the exact same time, and they have been swimming for weeks. ***** Update as of 6÷4÷2016 **** Response to Peter — So far we have paid you $ 55 thousand dollars on this pool. Another 15K is due now for a total of SEVENTYTHOUSANDDOLLARS spent to date. 11WEEKSAGO we started this process and made our first payment on this pool. 6WEEKS ago you actually started the dig. Today we have concrete that was not poured correctly and a mound of ALL of the dirt around it and NOTHINGELSE. For Seventy Thousand Dollars! Even worse we are now being told that the grading around the pool is our responsibility because we chose to use our own concrete person for the stamped concrete even though we were told that you would do rough grading(since the pool is 18″ BELOW the grade on one side). The credit you gave us for removing the standard 4′ concrete pad around the pool: $ 2500. The cost to add it back in just so that you will do the grading: over $ 6000-$ 8000 but your team thinks but could be more. You won’t remove any of the excess dirt(team said they would when they were selling us the pool because it was just going to the back field on our property). Now that it is sold all you are going to do is … NOTHING. The pool equipment that was supposed to be at the back of the pool house was installed where the front doors were supposed to be. Your team asked if we could change OUR plans to move the pool house 2′ forward to cover their mistake. Oh — and they forgot to tell us that they don’t pour the concrete pad for the equipment — we have to do that — cha ching! The electrician is also on our dime — $ 3600 — we were told $ 2000 for your recommended electrician but now it is almost double — just adds insult to injury. I was the one that said to go with a large company so that we had some assurances. I was the one that said that your company had a better product. My husband says that he will never listen to me again. Can’t say I blame him — this is enough to make me cry. I wish I could go back to March 18th and say that we absolutely NEVER want to buy a pool from POOLANDSPADEPOT. Our salesperson, Daniel, said that our back yard would look bad for a while. He forgot to say that it would look this way for 3 months and counting — and that we would be responsible to fix it even though we will end up paying Pool and Spa Depot over EIGHTYTHREETHOUSANDDOLLARS and then have to pay to get EVERYTHING else done for a sub-standard product. Peter, unfortunately this process has been so bad that the entire pool has been tainted. Every time we look at it my husband is going to remind me that I could have bought a very similar pool including a TRAVERTINE tile deck(which I wanted) and a GUARANTEED delivery date of May 21st for 60K. ALLIN. From someone else. Lesson learned — just because you have a storefront and beautiful display doesn’t mean that you are better than the next guy.

Bought our pool August 2014 and just needed info on model of pool(pool damaged by tree branch) and after many calls and emails no response. They were very happy to take my money for the initial pool purchase but when it comes to customer service, forget it. Better off buying a pool from a dude on Craigslist.

Love the pool and spa depot. We bought a pool from them 12 years ago and it’s going strong. Over the years we’ve switched from Baquacil to chlorine to salt water to UV last year. We also changed our liner last year, all with the help of Pool and Spa. They’ve been helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process and changes. It’s a family owned business so there is accountability. I trust them for all my pool needs . Definitely recommend!

We purchases a in ground pool this year… I would suggest going elsewhere! They will tell you a time frame for work to be done and the not come and waste your time by not even calling to tell you changes. They have great sales people who tell you they will make you so happy but don’t believe it, in the end there is no respect for your time or money… Wish I had done my homework because I have had months of torn up yard and still no finished pool.

I have a fiberglass salt water pool. I did get my water tested and buy some chemicals from them, and that was just ok. I needed help recently with some repair issues so I did some online research and saw that they could not only help me but they had something called vacation packages. I called needing repairs but I was excited about the vacay packages. I was on hold for 20 min just to get the service department then I had to sit and wait while he looked it up on their website to tell me «Don’t care what it says we don’t do that.» He told m they do a monthly cleaning on a contract of course. Pretty standard, but be prepared, theirs DOESNOT include chemicals. Other Nashville companies do, and not including them, combined with that horrible attitude, huge opportunity for gouging. He was so rude, I started searching for a district manager. There apparently is only the owners above them. While I was getting that info that service manager was in the background talking about me. They gave me a disconnected number for the owner. I am so done. I wouldn’t hire them for anything.

If I could warn people to do their research carefully prior to any pool or spa purchase — this would be the one! My pool installation experience was absolutely horrid. Pay a couple hundred bucks more at the other pool store for full service. You will be glad you did, I promise.

Pool & Spa Depot is an incredibly large store that sells above ground pools, hot tubs, and patio furniture. During my search for patio furniture, I stopped at Pool & Spa Depot because I saw that they were having a 50% off sale on everything. The selection was pretty good, they don’t carry anything too high end, but certainly more than Costco or Home Depot have in their home and garden sections. The selection of outdoor table and chair sets was great and many were made of wood and had a high quality feel to them, which is important because the chairs sit in the sun all day long. I did not end up making a purchase, but I definitely think this is a worth wile place to check out if you are in the market. Also, the staff seemed like they were knowledgeable, but I had a hard time getting anyone to help me because of the vast amount of people at the store.
