Doré Bakery

If you’re looking for the best coffee and pastries in Brentwood, look no further. I was looking all over for a decent cup of coffee in the area and I’m happy I found Dore. The baker is quite good and most of the pastries are in French style.
They have a Chocolate Almond Croissant which is very good, and my second favorite is their Mixed Berry Tart.
They have a second location in the Streets of Brentwood that specializes in the same things.

One of my favorites is the turkey pesto sandwich. Their coffees and pastries are delicious as well.

Enjoyed some tarts here after mani/​pedis next door. Also had the lovely tiramisu and a strawberry pastry. Hubby had been asking for black forest cake for past few weeks and I finally found it here, albeit a small one. Hubby asked why I didn’t bring home more. I have to say, the place is pricy. $ 5 per pastry. Service is friendly.

The croissant sandwiches are the bestttttt. Their pastries and cakes are delicious too!

Love it!!! Everything it’s good. everytime I go I want to buy everything. So I try everything new everytime I go and they didn’t disappoint. I have taking family and friends here and they love it too.

My whole family and I absloutely adore this place. I’ve been here several times and everything I’ve tried so far is delicious. The fruit tart and raspberry mousse on spounge cake are my favorites. The décor is adorable and its spot next door to the AMC theater, make it the perfect place to grab an after-​movie treat.

We ordered a cake here and it was incredible. White cake with strawberries and cream/​custard. Beautiful cake that tasted even better. I was very pleased with the ordering process. I would definitely recommend this bakery.

Owner is very friendly. their chouquette, macaroons, and carrot cake is delicious… normally I don’t eat deserts but it was worth the cheat day.

I stop in here from time to time to get a chocolate croissant or a few other baked goods. I like to surprise my friends with them. They are delicious and amazing. Ive never been to France, but i imagine this is true french pastry making, not to sweet and very decadent. I just love the owner. He and I chat sometimes. He is a wonderful man. I am so glad his business is doing well and that he hired on new employees and started a new location (also in Brentwood). Everyone should give it a try, keep this small business alive!

My love and I strolled into Doré to find a simply decorated place to grab a bite. However, what we found was a wonderful menu and cases filled with the most yummy French pastries baked to perfection. My sandwich was perfection in taste, and quality and the French music provided a lovely moment to share with the love of my life.

My boyfriend bought me a birthday cake from here and it was delicious. The best chocolate cake ever! Definitely will stop by the shop once I’m back on the west coast. This New Yorker is very happy with her birthday cake.

I first met the owner of Dore at the farmers market. His sweets are amazing. We have tried the eclairs, a few different cakes, and these little balls that look like doughnut holes (but are so much better!). Both locations in Brentwood are bright, clean, and have friendly staff. Love Dore!

This place is adorable! The wall decorations inside were so cute. The workers were very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I tried a few macaroons and tried the pecan tart– my favorite macaroons were the raspberry and pistachio, least favorite was mint; I wish the macaroon sizes were bigger too. The pecan pie was delicious though
Will definitely come back here in the future.

— Tarts — Got the pecan tart, it was very simple and tasted perfect. Not too sweet, crunchy, pecans on point. Can see the sugar on the pecans
— Macaroons — These are OK — Fairly small, 1 $ each or 8 $ for a box.
– Mint — reminded me of toothpaste
– Raspberry — best one, the jelly inside was oozing out
– Vanilla — generic vanilla
– Chocolate — very rich and creamy
– pistachio — did not really taste like a pistachio
Did not try coffee or lemon
Definitely want to try other desserts they have. I came in late in the day, around 4pm, glass case was still filled with treats. I was drooling…

This place is so SWEET. I went with my friend for lunch, we walked in and looked at all this pastries, tarts, cakes, rainbow macaroons and fresh baguettes.
We ordered panini sandwiches and of course something sweet. We got our sandwiches pretty quick. I opened my sandwich and realize there’s a mayo in my sandwich (I hate mayo) I politely ask if I can get another one without the mayo. The owner was so sweet and said right away of course. So I got same sandwich, this time dry (the way I like it). It was really good; warm in a french bread, fresh avocado, tomato, lettuce and cheese. For dessert I took the fruit tart and my friend got the coconut tart, they both were so yummy. The cream tart was melted in my mouth and the fruits was so fresh. It was perfect for my dessert.
The place is really nice and clean, the owners are very friendly, and they have outdoor seating.
Definitely coming back here for my sweet tooth!

This morning I went to this bakery and it smelled amazing you could smell the pastries being made from outside! I bought 4 macaroons a lemon, mint, chocolate and vanilla I also bought a plain croissant. The service was great and the food was even better and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be going back for more! :)

It’s a mini piece of Paris in California! The café is quaint, filled with cute Parisian decorations. They have an assortment of elegant pastries, coffee drinks, and breakfast items. I really like to treat my bf with a fruit tart from time to time. I really enjoy this place!

Wow, all of these great reviews I feel a little bad being the one to completely disagree. I’ve been here twice now because I thought maybe that first visit was just ”an off day” yet I was just as let down the second time.
I’m going to clear this right now. This is a European Bakery. I’m a Baker who just happens to be from Europe so yes, I do have fairly high expectations.
Anyway, The Bakery is cute and they have a large selection of Pastries, Cakes and Cookies yet what I have had from here has been really lackluster and not at all what I expected. First off the Macarons are such a weird texture. They were really soft and almost mushy, more like sponge than the chewy centered Cookie with a crispy shell I know them to be and were all kinds of weird shapes and proportions. At $ 1 each I guess you really do get what you pay for. (

The Pastries my Husband and I found do be less than impressive too. Dry and the Chocolate one I forget the name of was made with low grade Chocolate.
This business also used to be ”Sweet Bella’s” which started as a Doughnut shop not long ago but didn’t last long at all, I can’t help but think maybe they should have stuck to that instead. Again, I feel bad rating a small business so low but I have to stay true to my experience.
I had high hopes for this place considering the rave reviews but then this is also a town that has a 5 star rated Jack In The Box so I don’t think I will hold too much weight in reviews for places in this town in future.
