I don’t why Dr. Johnson has any negative comments! He is a very popular, busy, doctor because he is good! He spends as much time as needed with me and never seems to be in a hurry. I see him every four months to monitor my medication and he always is in a pleasant mood. The staff is great! When I e-mail a question, I get a quick response. I, along with my husband and daughter, have been seeing Dr. Johnson for years and do not intend to go anywhere else. He’s great!

I’m giving this one star only because it won’t let me leave zero stars. The medical staff there is a scam and rude. I went for a routine physical and also complained about some weight gain and went over my diet with the nurse practioner, she wanted to do blood work and asked if I had fasted which I clearly stated no, I just had lunch. She stated that was fine and that I could still get my thyroid level checked. I proceeded with the blood work and then about a month later, I received a bill for an entire series of labs that were totally invalid due to me not fasting. The rude part of their staff comes in when one of the nurses named Amanda started drilling me on my labs about my «fatty liver» stating I needed to quit drinking and that there was a program to help me with my problem. I was shocked and demanded she look in my chart as I don’t drink, I never received an apology… I contacted the Office Supervisor named Olga to let her know how I was treated… again, no apology, just a «i will talk with her.» I then get a bill for a series of labs that were invalid since I didn’t fast which was over $ 80.00. I called the billing office to advise them of the mistake and they stated they would look into it. Dr. Johnson’s office refused to answer my calls and would tell the answering service that someone would call back but they never did… this was an appointment in 10⁄14. I kept receiving bills and I kept calling and kept getting the«we will have someone call you back» from the answering service but never did. After threatening them with my attorney calling to square this away, I finally spoke with the Office Supervisor named Olga who said she would erase the charges and stated she misunderstood the request… well hot damn, maybe if you picked up the phone and speak to the patients, you’d understand… this is now 6/2015…can you see how long I’ve had to deal with this? It gets better… hold on to you seats on this one. On 7/27, I get a collection letter for $ 87.00 for unpaid lab charges from this same doctor. I called on 7⁄28 and was connected to Natalie who was extremely rude that Olga was out on vacation and that it would have to wait until she returned. You can imagine my frustration at this point seeing it’s been 9 months of dealing with inept people, she stated that I needed to speak with Cecelia who’s the«Office Manager»…i stated that would be great and Natalie stated that she would put a note for her call me but apparently they didn’t know where she was at that time… probably because of the large floor plan of the office or the fact it was 4:45 pm. I called back the next day at 1:00 pm, answering service said the office told them she would call be «today»…that never happened… called again the next day and got the same response… never got a call back. I’ve worked in the medical field, this level of customer service is horrible… I’m not sure what Dr. Johnson thinks is going on but by the reviews on this page, he’s either blind, ignorant or just letting the monkey’s run wild in his office. I hope all new patients read this as you have been warned… I now commute to walnut creek to see medical attention because the level of service I receive is so much better… DRJOHNSON… YOUNEEDTOSTARTRUNNINGYOURPRACTICEIN A PROPERBUSINESSMANNER… IF I HADTHESTAFFYOUHAVERUNNINGYOURPRACTICE I’D BEOUTOFBUSINESS… THEYSHOULDALLBEFIRED!!!

I will never see this provider. I waited 4 months for an appointment. Once I looked up his address for my appointment it gave the the wrong address. Once I arrived at the wrong address, I was asked to wait for my appointment. It wasn’t until 10 minutes later that I was informed this provider is no longer at this address. When I called to try and inform the office I was going to be 15 minutes late, they refused to send the doctor a message. Once I arrived at my appointment approx 17 minutes late, they made me wait another 30 before telling me the Doctor would not be able to see me and the next appointment available was in April. I was not the only other patient that was given the wrong address as well, and they were also turned away. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed. Working in health for a large group practice, this would have never happened.

As a person he’s just a very nice guy. He runs the show in that clinic and walks around with his chest puffed out about it. A truly self-entitled and arrogant man. Outside of the clinic, he’s not a very nice person(I will leave that one alone). Many people love him. I can understand why, if you don’t know any more about him. The two heifers that work at the front desk are rude and lazy, they do not follow directions and visibly display favoritism with certain staff and patients alike. His back office staff is great and will do anything they can for you. Though their hands are tied because they are only an extension of him. His newer Nurse Practicioner was everything he wasn’t, though just as ineffective because she defers to him for just about everything, except sinus infection. It also takes an incredibly long time to be see, even on a good day. He may have a schedule but still does what he wants and when he wants, including getting to the exam room to see you. Gawd forbid that when he gets to the exam room, he feels like you are wasting his time or you are there for something he is uninterested in or unwilling to do anything about. He will let you know and with the nicest and fakes dimpled smile, make you feel insignificant and not worth his time. Granted, my case is not a simple cold or flu. I am very ill, don’t require a simple prescription and go. My prognosis is quite ominous. In most cases, a provider would take the time and do what they could for a patient like this. Not Johnson. He actually did the opposite. He was first to say that I was too complicated and there wasn’t anything he could do for me. Yes, u require the assistance of many specialist but it’s his job as the primary to manage, orchestrate and delegate that care. He did not. I gave him a fair shot. Saw him eight times over the course of a year. He did not help. He actually complicated and clogged up my care and I got the worst I have been so far. Always the first to day, you are too sick. Well, I’m sorry about that. I didn’t choose to be born with a broken, malfunctioning and effed up body. And of course he always said that I was on too many medications. Yet when directly asked, he was never interested or willing to try to do anything to treat a problem or present an alternative so that a medication could be taken away. During my time with you, I’ve learned everything that a physician should be that you aren’t. I’ve gone from walking into your clinic with a smile to hobbling in there grimacing with pain. You have done nothing to help me or streamline the care that I receive. You do not return phone calls. You do not answer or even open many of the secure messages I send you online. I gave you more than a fair chance and I feel sorry for anyone that you may care for who is quite ill or more so than I. As you have effectively demonstrated to me with each interaction that they will not get the care that they need. My only saving grace is that another well qualified MD in your practice is not accepting new patients. May our paths never cross again.
