Damn this joint got some bomb ass teriyaki!!! The helping was plentyful, 2 slabs of perfectly cooked pollo, scoop of finely cooked aroze and a side salad. No watered down soy sauce. This meal was enough for my fat ass to get full off of. Had to take a doggy bag home, but totally smashed it later on that night(leaving me wanting more). Friendly staff too, to bad they arent in lakewood, grrr. No worries found my new fav lunch joint in bermerton, most def will be back. For 11ish bucks worth every penny…

I have eaten here many times, used to think it was the best teriyaki in Kitsap county! If tonight is any indication of their food now, I will not go back! I always used to order the teriyaki chicken and tempura shrimp dinner, it was great, lots of food, great taste, all round my fave. Tonight I had a taste for tempura so I went with the tempura shrimp platter for $ 9. I got two shrimp that had no taste whatsoever. The veggies were good but most of it was potato, I don’t know who ever said potato should be in tempura but it should not! It is awful! I got less than half a thing of sauce not enough to even finish dipping my veggies in let alone pour any on my rice. In the tempura dinner I got less tempura then I used to get when I ordered a mixed meal with teriyaki and tempura!!! Not worth the money at all! Might try this place again and order the teriyaki chicken with tempura again and see if that is what I used to remember. It may take awhile before I get this bad taste out of my mouth! Very disappointed

My mother is Korean and I’ve grown up on Korean food/BBQ — I know good Korean food and I know hold teriyaki… This place has the BEST kalbi(beef short ribs) in the area. Hands down! Everyone that I intro to this place comes back for me. And altho the wait might be a little long, it should be expected when the food is made to order. I frequent this place and will continue to do so until I’m no longer around… TRYTHESHORTRIBS! They’re excellent!

My experience is solely based on the drive thru as I have not been inside the restaurant. I was on my way home from a busy day and the last thing I wanted to do was cook. I hadn’t been here before but I remembered that this place had a drive thru. Great! The menu was very heavy on the teriyaki. The restaurant is named Sunny Teriyaki so that was to be expected. Not a lot of vegetarian options. I opted for a few appetizers instead of a meal as there wasn’t much on the menu that I was interested in. I will say that the food came out quickly and hot. The girl at the window was friendly. But the food itself was less than appetizing. The veggie egg rolls were disgusting to be exact. The outside was crisp like you would expect an egg roll to be but the inside was a soggy mess. No flavor and no amount of soy sauce would do. They went uneaten. Next up, the crispy shrimp: they didn’t resemble shrimp at all. I could see a tail but the overall shape etc was off. They were edible but certainly not good. The lesson I learned– don’t let a glimmering drive thru window pull you in.

We have always loved their food so tonight I took my 10 year old to dine in. We were the only ones in the restaurant and criminal minds was on tv a show I watch myself but this one was very graphic and I asked if they could change the channel. I was told no they aren’t aloud to touch it. I asked for to go containers and as we were walking out I asked the gentlemen if he was the owner and I explained that I had asked to change the channel and told him what was on tv and he said oh just basic cable. Really! So if you plan to dine in be prepared to have to explain to your kids what’s on tv.

We come here once a week. The Chinese food is absolutely amazing. I get the general sao’s chicken and my husband gets the chicken teriyaki. Both are to die for. Definitely will keep coming back. Love the food.

I don’t understand the bad reviews. This had become my wife and I faorite hidden hole in the wall. No not for the sushi but the teriyaki and meals! So good! Give it a try and write your own review. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve driven by this place maybe a thousand times to get to work everyday. I always wondered if it was even open because it always looks dead in there and I never see anyone go in or out! Well today I went through the drive through and got the bento box. The service was slow considering I didn’t see anybody else there and I only get 30 min for lunch. The teriyaki chicken, gyoza and tempura veggies were good and all piping hot. The California roll was a little below average, just blah. Also I prefer salad dressing on the side instead of slathered everywhere. I will probably return for the lunch specials because it’s convenient, good portions and overall not bad.

Never had bad food here, always good, fresh food! Very fast and friendly service. Quick and the order is always correct, that alone is hard to find! Thanks!

Oh goodness… I remember coming here for a sushi fix, but there was nothing much on their sushi menu. Therefore, I opted for the California Roll. It was THEMOSTDISGUSTING, SADROLLOFSUSHI I HAVEEVERSEENOREATENINMYLIFE. The rice was wet and soggy. Yes. WET and SOGGY to the point where it pretty much looked like a solid layer of white. When I ate it, it was so disgusting. The soy sauce there didn’t help. The ginger wasn’t fresh and tasted like what cat pee smells like. I threw it away. I didn’t talk to the guy about it. Just left. Never again will I eat there. Warning: NEVEREVERORDERSUSHIHEREORANYTHINGINNEEDOFSOYSAUCE.

I was going to give this place two stars but thought that might a bit unfair when comparing to Seattle Teriyaki restaurants. So a third star is given. The staff was very friendly, and efficient, though to be fair I arrived right as the doors opened and was the only person in the place. The gyoza were frozen as is the case with many places, but were well cooked, not oily, the gyoza sauce was serviceable. As is also often the case with Teriyaki restaurants the salad really was mostly lettuce with a few shreds of carrot and possibly purple cabbage, and predictably over dressed. So what did I like, the spicy teriyaki sauce was not just reriyaki sauce with chili flake, nor red chili paste, but rather seemed to be an honest attempt to make a spicy teriyaki sauce. The meat unfortunately could either use a marinade or would benefit from true charbroil cooking, I am not really sure how they do it here, but I have produced far better results under my broiler at home

Had the katsu tempura combo which were both good. I was disappointed with the salad because of the ranch like dressing. I usually look forward to salad at teriyaki places because they always seem to have amazing salad dressing. I also ordered the tofu soup and they didn’t cook the tofu in the soup long enough so it just tasted like plain tofu. I don’t think I’d go there again.

Been here before and it has been good, but today it was nasty, I mean make me want to throw up nasty. The rice tasted like a wet moldy wash cloth. I feel ill after just having it in my mouth. It was okay till I hit some cold stuff in The center then it was beyond gross. Be careful. It is 2:45pm on Saturday 10÷5÷20013. I am in the place as I write this review. GROSS! Kinda sad or has sunk so low.

Forget all the past negative reviews as I was just here this past Friday and was beyond pleasantly surprised at the service and the food. Yes, it seems weird that a teriyaki place has a drive thru, but as a mother with 3 young children it is such an ingenious idea! especially with our rainy weather, I love not having to unload the kids just to load them back up to eat at home. Saves me time from getting in and out of the car. I ordered the chicken katsu/teriyaki combo and the beef short ribs. It was less than 15 minutes after my order and I was ready. I have searched long and hard for a local place that knows how to make Chicken Katsu without over drying the chicken and I am so damn happy to say I FOUNDTHEPLACE! The katsu was cooked to perfection. The chicken was moist with a crunchy panko crusted outside! The sauce was balanced with just enough sweetness to it. The chicken teriyaki is good as well but nothing to wright home about. Beef short ribs are good as well. Overall you should definitely check this place out. Besides good food, the location is right off of 303 making it easy to grab food and head home. You can also call ahead and order your food and pick it up thru the drive thru! Next best thing from actually getting it delivered!

On my quest for the best teriyaki on the Kitsap Peninsula, I came across this spot. Let’s start with the pros: Drive thru Large menu Serves Teriyaki Cons: Way WAY too much sauce Not a lot of flavor to the chicken One major pet peeve I have are all of the Pan-Asian restaurants out there. They try to add food from all Asian cuisines, the problem is that none of them are done well. I love char-grilled chicken teriyaki. I just can’t find it around here. I also have had good wok style teriyaki but this does not really qualify as such. It wasn’t horrible, but I can’t really imagine going back for more when other spots are a cut above.

I love this place! Go there at least every other week, prices are reasonable, food is great, large portions. what more can you ask for? Inside is very nice and always clean(though they need an outside remodel badly!) they are by far the best in Bremerton ! Chicken Katsu to die for and also their gyoza. mmm! Doesn’t get better then this !

What drew me in was that they advertised having Sushi. All they had on the menu was a California Roll. Sushi is not plurl I guess. So this place is pretty garbage. I ended up having the veggie delight there and it was just awful unflavored bites of terrible. Cool, you’ve got a big menu, now learn to cook something from it. Poor service and poor food leaves this solidly on my list of places to never visit again.
