Parking — terrible. Rooms — dorms. Tv — tiny and far away. AC — nope.(It’s 80° right now at 7am & I found a tower fan in the closet to try and cool off) Eh. It’s ok. It’s inexpensive & the people are nice, but it’s definitely institutional feeling.

This is the first NGIS I’ve stayed in, and I’ve honestly got no real complaints. It’s not hot enough during the day for the A/C – or alleged lack thereof – to bother me, and the rooms are quite spacious. Rooms have queens with night stands on either side, a dresser and desk, as well as a recliner, ironing board/iron, and a midsize fridge and microwave. Bathroom is great, and the front staff is also very friendly. Just wish the parking didn’t suck complete junk. Get your spot early, and don’t give it up!

Great NGIS! Right across the street from Sam Adams Bar & Grill on base. Near gym, commissary, NEX, and central to the shipyard. Very convenient. Single occupancy rooms are large. Décor is very simple but rooms are very clean and functional. Large fridge and microwave provided. No bath but large shower. Small TV, but sufficient. Free Wi-Fi, but during peak hours it can be slow because there is a very high demand for internet. $ 45 a night… half the price of any business rate hotel near the shipyard. Excellent place to stay when you are visiting PSNS.
