I came across Manticore Stencil Art (Dave Ryan’s work) at Motore café in Denny Triangle. I just stopped in for a routine caffeine-​ing, and I immediately fell in love with the pop culture-​themed, stenciled records they had on display there.
I had a really hard time deciding on what records to buy, because they were all awesome. Dave does everything from bands/​musicians to television to movies, and his sense of humor is… well…funny. Just by looking at his record art, I decided that I want to be friends with him.
I ended-​up buying 3 records: The Dude, Walter, and Donnie from The Big Lebowski. (I also really wanted Tobias from Arrested Development, when he’s dressed as a Blue Man Group understudy.) They cost $ 20 a pop… well worth it!
I know this isn’t a traditional Unilocal review, but I love my records so much that I want to yell it from the top of a mountain and throw my friend-​crush some more business.
