Easy parking. Come early. You can get a good 30 min in before the crowd get BIG. Skating fee is $ 8, skate rental is $ 4 = total, $ 12. Indoor and outdoor rinks. Outdoor is only available when the weather cooperates and is cold enough to keep the ice frozen. Fun way to kill a hour or so.

I’m really used to skating rinks being pretty crowded and I was happy to see that that wasn’t the case for the Stephen West Ice Arena. The employees are all really nice and I really enjoyed how they had their employees rotating around making sure everything was going safely on the ice. The ice arena is really close to town and is right next to the only overnight parking lot in Breck. They also offer two different skating rinks, one indoors and the other outdoors, however they are open at different hours of the day which I thought was a bit odd. Check out the hours of the rinks BEFORE you come, there isn’t always a running rink available. The admission for adults is $ 8 and the $ 4 for skate rentals. I loved my time there, it was nice to be back on the ice again. A great option for those that don’t ski or snowboard, check out the sledding nearby at Carter Park and Figure Skate here!

Little pricey for free skate plus skate rental, about 11 dollars per person. Other than that it’s a well ran indoor ice rink as far as I can tell. There are skating«lifeguards» on the ice keeping the kids safe which I thought was interesting too. It’s also very close to main street so a quick walk back into town is very doable. Served as a great diversion during my weekend in Breck.
