Been eating at Giampietro’s for about 15 years… give or take. I am compelled to write this review due to a dual-bout of food poisoning that can only be attributed to their food. The wife ordered lasagna take-out on Tuesday evening and got to enjoy an intense bout of diarrhea shortly after eating it. When I ate the leftovers for lunch on Thursday(assuming that the Mrs. had a weak stomach), I got to enjoy stomach cramps, gas, and intense vomiting for the rest of the night. This… from a guy who never has issues with food. Called this evening to let the business know of our experience and was met with an apologetic, but seemingly unconcerned response. Disappointing. I’ll probably keep going back to Giampietro’s, but my love for their food has taken a hit. My wife says she will never go back.

Been here three times in 10 days and they got our business on the last night which says a lot for our family!!! We appreciate great food made with love and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

Average pizza, if you like it really doughy. Not my favorite pizza place in Breck. Their cheesy garlic bread is good.

Unfortunately, nothing positive to say… Bad customer service! We ordered a New York style cheese pizza. Nothing special about it. Burnt and cold. They did nothing about it. Things happen, but it’s all about customer service. Very disappointing!

Great service. We didn’t have to wait long for a table. The waiter was very attentive and the good was awesome. Great place to eat. I would definitely visit again. The ravioli with short rib and the meatball sub was delish!!!

No need to write about our experience; Sam’s earlier review said it all. We were the other group that fell victim to your manager’s wildly inappropriate and inexcusable behavior — and though this restaurant came highly recommended, NO amount of good food and drink could ever be worth the treatment that either of our parties received. Grossly disrespectful. Never seen anything like it. Remember: you are in the business of serving customers(aka human beings) and in the event of ANY mistake, the responsibility rests on YOU. Your management should be capable of correcting while maintaining composure. Might we suggest a prompt firing or two? On principle alone, we were happy to walk away and spend our money elsewhere.

Honestly at a loss for words. I hope the owner is reading this. Instead of enjoying the great food we’d heard all about, the following was our experience: We were seated as a table of 6 one group too early(by the waiter and hostess) on a very busy Friday night. After being seated for five to ten minutes, the manager rushes to our table and very inappropriately tells us «we shouldn’t be seated yet» and that it «wasn’t our turn». After she gives us a disgusting«go to hell look» and before we can even respond, she rushes off madly shaking her head — as if we’d committed some atrocity. Our group of 6(4 adults, two 3 year olds) just stared at each other in disbelief. She then marched outside as we stared, dragged the hostess inside the restaurant to our table, and very loudly in front of both us and the entire restaurant blessed her out for accidentally putting our group before someone else on the waiting list. At this point, we all get up to leave. It was just inappropriate and awkward. Apparently, this infuriated her because of the scene she has just made — so she rudely tried to shoo us back to our table. Honestly, we were so startled by her behavior — both because we had no control of the situation(we got seated and brought to a table, not the other way around) and because of how furious and erratic her behavior was. What happens next is the kind of thing(as a business owner myself) that gives ownership of any business/restaurant nightmares. To be honest, despite how bad the earlier events were, I wouldn’t be making a review like this if it weren’t for the next sequence of events. As she rudely tried to thrust my family and best friends back in our seats, I approached her and told her we were leaving and it was just simply inappropriate that she would ever handle herself in such a way to or in front of any customer. The manager turns to me, loudly and in my face(and in front of the entire restaurant) tells me «You know what, I don’t want to serve a customer like you anyway! ‘God D’mn!’». This is not only in all of our faces and the entire restaurant, but both our three year olds. Incredible. She then proceeded to get in my face as I proceeded to the door to exit, attempting to get the last word repeatedly, mocking everything I say, and treating me like I were a literal piece of manure. Now, I’m sure this restaurant, like any establishment, will want to combat a negative review like this with some quick witted response about what really happened for those that might be reading. I see it all the time when I’m researching where to go eat, etc. But I’d like you to know that this is my very first negative review(or review of any kind) that I’ve posted on a social platform about any organization. I just don’t have time for it. But for this one, I’ve been sitting here forty five minutes(many hours later after the actual event) writing this review, exactly as it happened. Lastly, to the owner I’d like to say a thing or two: 1. What kind of people are you hiring that would act this way to a customer? Among all else, a MANAGER that would proclaim«God D*mn!» AT a customer of your business(also in front of three year old children). It’s completely unacceptable. 2. Is it the customers fault that their group is seated before another? Or your staff? In hindsight, we honestly(no one in our group — not one) can think of any reason there should have been animosity against us — your customer. We simply got lead to table one group ahead of time by your employee. Like the other group, we’d also been waiting 1 ½ hours to be seated. Some last thoughts: The group that should have been seated before us also left instead of being seated, informing us that any establishment that treats customers like that doesn’t deserve their money either. How do I know that? We all met at Downstairs at Eric’s afterwards. Speaking of Eric’s, it is a class act example of how a restaurant should be and also how an owner and staff should operate. We were seated immediately after learning of what just happened, though they had a large wait. The owner made his way throughout the restaurant, shaking hands with customers, making his employees laugh and actually enjoy their jobs. The waitress was wonderful and got 30−40% tips from both of our families. Eric’s will be getting an amazing review tonight on as many social platforms as I can find( Unilocal, Facebook, Tripadvisor, etc.). This will be the second time I’ve ever reviewed an organization. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for Giampietro Pasta and Pizzeria — the worst restaurant experience and service I’ve ever been a part of.

Really good New York style pizza. Very friendly staff. Plain cheese, pepperoni and meatball are all good options.

Horrible and rude service, small and crowded — Eat at Eric’s instead! Wait was forever 1 hour 15 minutes, we went back to check on it after 1 hr, and the wait extended another 45 minutes to an hour, we decided to order to go(another 45 minutes), when all of a sudden a table was ready. We said ok, we would like to sit and then were informed we could not because we ordered to go? What? We asked three people there why and got«we just don’t operate that way»? So we waited another 45 minutes for the to go order, then had to go outside in 10 degree snowing weather and wait for a bus with my children for 15 minutes, to go back and eat cold food.

Best Pizza in Breck! We always order take out as the dinning space is pretty compact. Can’t wait until they finish their expansion so we can sit down for dinner.

Best advice for Giampietro’s? Be an early bird and eat your dinner at 5 p.m. or be prepared to wait! This is a small space and it fills up quickly. We went the early bird route and showed up around 5:30, just in time to snag the last available table. We started with the Greek salad(so fresh and extra points for kalamata olives and big chunks of feta) and the cheese bread appetizer. They are very generous with the cheese and the marinara dipping sauce was a perfect accompaniment. For mains, my boyfriend had the baked ziti with meatballs — he said it was«above average.» I had the seafood linguini(a special) which had a very tasty red sauce and fresh basil on top. They have some very reasonably priced wines by the glass — I had a Washington Cab for just $ 6! We want to come back to try the pizza. The prices here are great and the service was fast.

Delicious and a Great Value Italian restaurant in Breckenridge! We got very lucky and we were able to get seats here to eat. Initially there was a 1.5 hr wait. They take your name and cell phone number and call you when a table is ready. Luckily there were cancellations and we were able to get in within 15 minutes. The restaurant is on the corner of main street. It is has a very small seating section, it would be difficult to accommodate a big group. We see alot of people ordering take out. The restaurant allows you to order pizza by slice. We ordered two pizza slices(pepperoni and meatball)[$ 3.5/slice], and bake ziti with itallian sausage[$ 13]. Everything was quite delicious and a great value.

Service is terrible. The waiters and waitresses seem miserable. The pizza is average at best! We got a deep dish pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and spinach pizza. Thankfully we were hungry! Wilted spinach on top of a semi warm pizza? Not our favorite. Our daughter had the fettuccini Alfredo and she could only take a few bites. My husband and I tried it and the noodles were good but just way too rich. All in all just decent nothing to write home about. Will not return! We only came here because the other local places had an hour wait and this place seated us right away.

We live in Breck part-time, and hadn’t tried the pizza here, yet. We decided to get it to-go this past week because the college championship game was on and we new it would be packed at most places. We phoned-in the order at around four and it seemed too easy to be true. We were right. When we arrived at six to pick-up the food, the waiter didn’t know what order we were referring to. We waited twenty-minutes before asking again about the food. My dad spoke with a guy to check on the status. The waiter seemed very overwhelmed(after all, it was crowded). What we didn’t understand was the waiter’s response to my dad’s explanation of what had happened and why we were still waiting…“Well, what do you want me to do about it?” Dad told him he just wanted the food he ordered, plain and simple. Once we got the food about ten minutes later, we took it back home to enjoy while watching the game. We ordered a Sicilian(their version of a deep-dish) and the bread/dough was as hard as a rock and burnt severely on the bottom. The meatballs were good, however. All-in-all, dine-in may be better than take-out(who knows), but their attitude was piss-poor and the pizza wasn’t good enough to make me want to go back to find out.

Stopped in here during a quick visit to Breckenridge. The establishment itself is very small and cramped, so you might have to wait since there are limited tables. We ordered an extra large pizza — it was a bit lacking on the toppings and some spots were even missing cheese, but I thought it was pretty yummy. Nothing out of this world, but worth the money.

Great spot with some great pizza! Make sure to get there early, they don’t have a lot of seating so you may have to wait a bit. Service was fast and the pizza was fresh and delicious. They only have one size pie and its either hand tossed or deep dish. So come hungry. Saw the pasta and it looked good! Maybe next time when I’m in town. I would definitely check it out if you’re in town!

Hands-down the best Italian around until you get down to Denver. I always eat here when I come to Breck, and here are some tips: — the restaurant is tiny. Expect a wait time. I recommend putting your name in and going to the bar next door for a drink. — the food is not as good when you order for pickup. I’ve done this countless times, and the food quality doesn’t compare to when you sit in the restaurant. — chicken parm is my go-to food item. Either that, or I dabble with the specials.
