HORRIBLE. I went here on a limb, and out of desperation because of the great Unilocal reviews! But it fucking sucked. I had an older woman named Marsha I believe and she did a decent job but charged me $ 30 for a basic ass haircut! Never going back in sticking to my great clips. Such a rip off

Got my hair done by Brittany! Had a groupon deal $ 39 for cut color and conditioning… my hair was super thick and black and just a mess. She is such a sweetheart and knows what she’s doing. I wanted my hair a lighter brown and she made my hair the exact color I wanted! Even prettier! I’m so glad I bought the deal and will def return! :)

I purchased a groupon deal for haircut, conditioning, and color for $ 39. Awesome awesome awesome deal! And I read on Unilocal that she is pretty quiet and not chatty at all (which I really enjoy and appreciate) so I decided to go with it.
I left her a voicemail so that I can make an appointment. She didn’t return my message until the week after. And I’m pretty sure she only returned my message, because I contacted Groupon and asked for a refund since I was having difficulty getting in contact with anyone.
Yes, I understand that its an amazing deal, but what’s the point of an amazing deal when it’s this hard to even make an appointment? What a waste of time. I wish I had purchased another deal so that I would already have an appointment set and ready to go. Regardless, I told Groupon I did not want services rendered from this salon and they gave me groupon bucks so i can use it towards another salon. Thanks Groupon!

Pros and Cons!
With all of the good reviews about Brittney I feel like I should start off and say she was really friendly! We chatted the entire time and loved that! While my hair was processing she ran to get some shampoo and conditioner for me… super nice! She seemed very confident in what she was doing.
Cons: I was very specific when I said I wanted highlights that won’t be noticeable when growing out. I have been box dying for almost 10 years and needed to get back to my natural color with a flare. While I was sitting in the chair I noticed a part that looked chunky and grown out already and she said it would fade; it didn’t. The highlights are now super grown out and very noticeable. On top of that I asked for more red in my hair and only a red toner was put in that didn’t last long at all. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with what I got for what I paid.

Melissa is their esthetician and she is the best! She takes great care of my skin and her pricing for services is beyond reasonable. She works efficiently and it’s always so relaxing to come and see her. She also does eyelash extensions! By far the best prices I’ve seen for lash extensions! Melissa is very honest and explains thoroughly what she is doing during your treatment. She’s been in the business for a while so she knows her stuff. You will not be disappointed or mislead!

Yet another great experience!!! Stephanie even squeezed my son in and gave him a great cut! My family and I will defiantly be coming to Stephanie and salon 860 west from now on!

Let me start out by saying that i debated for 2 weeks wether to post about my experience, or let it go. After waiting it out, hoping my hair would «set» or somehow get better, I have to honestly review this salon. I had a Groupon deal with Brittney for a cut, color, deep conditioner, and style. Brittney is such a sweetheart, and after reading the positive reviews here commending her on her focused and quiet demeanor, I was excited for the experience, and trusted her to take care of me. She did not. I wanted a dark chocolate hair color, and it turned out black. I’m not someone who goes to salons often (which i had let her known), and so when she was rinsing my hair, I wish she would have walked me through the process a little more. The deep conditioner was left in my hair maybe 5 minutes. For the haircut, I showed her a picture of a shoulder length semi layered cut. What I got was instead a chin length choppy, jagged cut. For reference, I have thick semi wavy hair. After she styled and curled it, it looked decent, and seemed worth the $ 39 price tag. It was upon coming home that i noticed the uneveness of the layers and how obviously it clashed with my texture. Ultimately, I also blame myself, for trusting her explicitly and not articulating precisely what I was looking for.
Tip: make sure to ask her how to maintain your color, style tips, etc, if you are inexperienced like I am, as she did not give me any type of input.

Went to see Brittney Dubia to get a color, cut and style from a Groupon voucher. She gave me exactly what style I wanted and was very patient with me as I was very anxious about cutting several inches off –she cut a little at a time to make sure she didn’t cut too much. The only downfall was that there was about a 1 month wait to get an appointment with Brittney, BUT it was definitely worth the wait! I am satisfied with her services.

Purchased a groupon deal with Brittney Dubia for a haircut, shampoo, deep conditioner, cut & style and that’s what I got. She was very sweet and listened to exactly what I wanted. I was nervous coming in because I planned on going a lot shorter. She cut off a good amount of my hair at the exact length I asked for, and I am extremely pleased with how it turned out. She took her time with me (exactly an hour) and I’m glad she wasn’t rushed. Brittney was not those overly chatty type of hairdressers who gossip or make a lot of small talk. She’s sweet & very professional, pretty quiet while cutting my hair, but that’s because she’s focused & «in her zone» which were her exact quotes (I actually prefer when they just work on my hair and not insist on being so chatty… maybe I’m anti-​social?).
Anyway, I walked in looking like a scraggly Amanda Bynes & left looking like Beyoncé…maybe not, but that’s how I felt. All in all, I would definitely recommend checking out Brittney even without the groupon deal!

Salon 860 West is a very nice salon. Josie, my hair dresser for the past 18 years, is the best! Josie always puts her customers needs first. Josie is always going to conventions and learning new techniques. Josie always has a smile on her face when I arrive. Josie is very kind, sweet, funny, and a delight to see after a long hard day at work. Josie has the best personal stories to share. I would highly recommend Josie to any of my friends!

I have been seeing Melissa Rodriguez for a short couple of months for skin peels and microdermabrasion, and my face has improved 100%. I suffer from adult acne due to PCOS and have never experienced such satisfaction with my skin condition until now, to the point where I don’t use makeup or concealer to cover my blemishes. Melissa is very thorough about explaining the process along the entire procedure, which makes me feel very comfortable.

I have been here 2 times in the past month! First time I saw Melissa for a lash lift. Loved it! Second time I came in to see her for a mild chemical peel treatment. I had never had either treatment before. Melissa made me feel so comfortable. She explains what she’s doing and what product she’s using. I have to say my face looks and feels great! I will def be back, next time maybe micro derm treatment.

BRITTNEY DUBIA!!! She was the most incredible, adorable, greatest hair stylist I’ve been to in forever! I tried her because I got a Groupon, and I was a little nervous because I’ve never died my hair. All I wanted was light highlights and a cut, but I’ve never been especially brave with getting my hair done and she was so nonthreatening it made me completely forget my nerves. She listened to what I wanted, encouraged me in what she thought would look good, but never pushed for her own agenda. I have also never had so many compliments on my hair, everyone tells me how natural my highlights look and they love the cut! I absolutely love her and my hair!

I booked a follow up cut appointment with Brittney and she accidentally double booked the appointment slot. She put conditioner on my hair and I waited an hour under the dryer – cheap distraction trick– while I watched her cut, dry, and then finish cutting another woman’s hair. I used to have a hairdresser that was bad at scheduling and even though she would rely on the receptionist to schedule her there would still be a wait. She would often take walk-​ins. She was honest though and owned up to it and apologized, so I was fine with it. I made sure to allot an extra hour when I saw her.
The weirdest part was when she claimed that this was proper salon protocol. Yes folks, she went there. I’ve been getting my hair cut for years, sometimes at very nice spas or high end places, along with casual salons. I can safely say this is not proper salon protocol or etiquette on the hairdressers part.
My time these days is really tight and I have no time to spare. So the fact that a simple trim took an hour and a half is kinda ridiculous to me. I mean I only booked a cut which for twelve years now has only taken a hairstylist 30 – 60 minutes, including the shampoo. I didn’t ask for a conditioning treatment.
When I brought it up to the receptionist she asked, «Did you remind her a few times of your appointment? Because a couple of weeks is a long time since you booked it.» Seriously?
If you have no kids or live nearby this won’t be a problem. But if you have a busy career like me or kids or live out of town it’s not worth going here.

Bought a Groupon deal here for deep-​conditioning treatment, haircut, and style, plus single-​process color.
The salon is in the corner of an old plaza & its bigger than I thought it would be. =)
They get a lot of repeat/​regular customers here so that’s a great sign.
I showed Britney the hair style that I wanted & she listened to me when I described what hair color I wanted and she did a really good job & it was painless.
My hair came out amazing & Ive gotten so many compliments on it. =)
I’ll definitely come back to Britney for my touch ups & haircuts from now on =)
FYI: for the Groupon deal, you have to call the salon & talk to Britney directly to book your appointment.

I came here to see Brittany. She had a Groupon on offer that seemed like a good deal. I am new to the area and trying to find a new hair dresser. Maybe relying on Groupon offers is not the ideal way to do this?
When I got to Salon I was told the receptionist would be right with me. When she came to greet me she offered me coffee and I accepted. She brought it in a chipped, stained mug that I would never have given to any of my client were i to run a business like that. There were paper cups on the counter where the creamer was and I would have so much have preferred that. When I added one of the little creamers they had the coffee curdled. So much for that idea. I left it on the table and didn’t touch it after that.
Brittany came out after the coffee debacle. Long story short, she spent maybe 35 minutes with me. The Groupon was for a Deep Conditioning, Cut and Style. After the cut she runs some curl defining cream trough my hair and gives me the mirror and says I am all done. I have never left a salon with out getting my hair blowdried. I did yesterday, and on top of that it was raining.
I can let the bad coffee experience go. Dealing with cheap service is not something I choose to live though again. Spending 10 more minutes to blow-​dry my hair might have turned me into a repeat customer. After all, the whole purpose of a Groupon is gaining new clients.
Sorry I won’t be coming back. I was far from impressed.

Purchased a Groupon and made a last minute appointment with Brittany dubai she was very friendly and sweet I had horrible hair color that didn’t match my ends she corrected the color thank goodness my hair looks perfect now! She trimmed my hair and didn’t get too scissor happy unlike other hair stylist that cut too much. I would go back again thank you Brittany for fixing my hair

I am in utter shock right now at how unprofessional and passive aggressive someone could be. That person being JACQUE OCHOA. After posting a groupon ad to gain more business, she has abruptly decided to stop doing hair! After I spent money on a haircut. After 3 phone calls in 5 days I finally reached out to the salon to get ahold of her. She pretty much said it’s not her problem anymore and that I need to deal with groupon. I’ve never dealt with a «professional» who was so rude.
Luckily for everyone else she won’t be there anymore. But I still blame the salon for not giving me any information when I asked.

I have finally found my new salon! It’s hard to drive from Orange County to San Gabriel valley on a weekday to get my hair done, and trying out numerous salons in Orange County left me disappointed in my hair at every turn.

She is beyond talented! I have not been this happy with my hair. probably ever! She knows exactly what she’s doing and she doesn’t rush her work. I came in for highlights after not getting my hair properly done for over a year, leaving my hair with 3 different colors. She got my highlights done better than I could have ever hoped for.
She is always warm and friendly, making your experience at the salon a pleasant one every time. I have had numerous compliments about my hair and I just tell them to go to Jacque O. at Salon 860 West in Brea, they won’t regret it.
