Hotdogs your way! Plenty of choices of toppings and an overly large hotdog to carry the condiments. Nice to have a go-to hotdog restaurant when DW just won’t do.

This place is too good! Large portions and a different flavor profile for each type of craving. Support Brea businesses! Friendly employees, good food and chill environment. We had the DTLA and the Cali and all the toppings complimented each other nicely.

Who needs that huge Weiner chain when you’ve got Otis Dogs? Store — Very bright and clean. Small but still has plenty of seating. Counters and stools. 2 tables and chairs outside with umbrellas if you feel like eating with some fresh air. Décor is sports themed with pennants along the walls. Menus are digital and on two TV screens. Staff — Friendly and helpful and service with a smile. Food — BOMBdotCOM! I ordered the Otis Cali Dog on the Hawaiian bread bun combo(which now comes with either fries or chips). All the ingredients were super fresh and tasted so good. The beef dog was delish and the avocados were soft and just ripe. The fries aren’t anything too special but were still good and better than chips for a cheat meal on a Friday. Combo also comes with a fountain drink. The portion sizes were enough to fill you up and I recommend a knife and fork because it’s easy to make a mess of yourself with all the tasty toppings. Hot dogs are delicious, but I agree with other Unilocalers here. They need menus, a web site and a phone number that they will answer. Almost as if they are trying to fail. French fries seem essential as well. Hope they get on all of this soon.

Not a hot dog person but I’ve been trying these gourmet dogs recently and Otis Dogs are pretty darn good. The ingredients are fresh and the quality is good! We tried the DTLA and the Cali dogs and both were amazing! You have come check this place out! The service was friendly and great as well!

Delicious, addictive, real-deal hot dogs. No soggy, boiled weenies here! I’ve tried the Chili Cheese Dog(love), the Papa-Strami(yum), the Bacon Mac(good as a treat), Otis Cali Dog(unique and tasty – understandable why it’s a fave), the Chi-Town(good, but too much relish for my taste), and a couple of custom ones. My husband is heavily addicted to the DTLA – we get lunch from there at least once a week, and it’s been months since he’s wanted to order anything else, saying, «If you find something you like, why would you bother getting something else?» Other pluses: Grilled to order. Reasonable prices for the quality you get. Those Hawaiian buns are evil goodness. They offer specials. The frequent-buyer punch cards(buy 10 dogs get 1 free), clean space, supernice folks. We’ve been told they might be getting fries(right now they only have chips); that would be a good add. If I could change anything, I would make them get a website, print some menus, and be more active with their Facebook page. I’ve told at least five people about Otis Dogs, but have nothing to direct them to other than trying to describe the(almost hidden) pocket where they’re located and relying on my memory to tell them about some of the dogs. Also, every time I get ready to call in my order, I come here to Unilocal to look at a picture someone was kind enough to take of the menu. Inconvenient and unnecessary. I get that you’re going for the word-of-mouth vibe and don’t want to blow up, but help people kick it off right. We live in the neighborhood and know more than a few of our neighbors who would definitely check you out… if they only knew that you existed in the first place. Plus, the worst-case scenario of blowing up is that you have to open another location! ;)

Went here last week during lunch and it was delish!!! My coworkers and I have nothing but great things to say. Friendly staff, its a lil small but the staff was accommodating and brought us chairs and a table from outside(was raining). I had the Bacon Mac and Cheese dog — pictures to follow! CON: not good for the diet :)

The quality of the hot dog is amazing, very tasty, the Chili they used does not have bean witch I feel is a good thing, it’s a very peaceful place to eat and they have outside sitting. They do offer Hawaiian buns too. They also have ice cream and cookies for dessert. This is a place to put on your list

A hot dog place with varieties of toppings you can choose from to add to your hot dog. I was hoping to have a New York style hot dog that the sausage and hot dog will pop in your mouth. But this wasn’t like it at all. The ingredients are fresh and I like the mango salsa. Service is great. But other than that, not a fan of their hot dog.

I came here by invite as part of a car enthusiast meet. I actually get my haircut just a couple doors down and never even noticed this place. Glad I came out and I can see why it gets such high reviews. I had the Papa-strami with Hawaiian roll and a bag of «Dirty» potato chips. My dad had the chili dog. As you can see from the pics it is loaded with pastrami. Thankfully it wasn’t all fatty and had good flavor. I was able to handle that thing but after a little time the bun will start to breakdown. That’s no issue since they supply you with knife and fork. The employees are nice and asked a couple times if we would like our drinks refilled. Most of the hot dogs are $ 5-$ 6:50, Hawaiian rolls $.75 and $ 2 for a combo to add chips and a drink. All in all its a good deal. I will definitely be back with the wife and kids.

Came tonight to try out this cool little hot dog place. Upon walking in it was nice & clean just as you want an eatery to look. The guy at the register was friendly, welcoming & explained the hot dog options to us. We went with The Porky, The Papa-strami, Nacho Cheesy Dog & a classic with the Chili Dog. We all truly enjoyed our selections! The hot dogs themselves were tasty & fresh. The toppings from the pull pork, coleslaw & buffalo sauce on mine was scrumptious. The chili dog was a great selection as well, classic & tasty. The Nacho Cheese was not watery but sure devoured by my son on his dog. My meat eater loved his with Pastrami & the fixings. We definitely will take the drive from La Habra for these tasty dogs! We are glad we took a chance away from the chain restaurants & were welcomed with good up done hot dogs! Yum yum!

Got the Cali Dog and it was amazing! All of the flavors go so well together. So glad they opened up a gourmet hot dog place in the area. Didn’t get to try any sides while we were there since they weren’t using their fryer at the time but would love to go back and try another hot dog with a side this time.

Please open a store in Santa Monica, it’s not fair that I have to drive this far to get a well priced gourmet hot-dog. The dogs are HUGE! Definitely satisfying. Normally at hot dog joints, I am constantly disappointed paying 10 bucks for a tiny, soggy, worthless dog. Now these guys at Otis, pack it on how it should be. Will definitely be back.

OVERALLRATING = 9⁄10 EATS: The Philly = 10 The Otis Cali + Hawaiian bun = 10 The Porky = 9 ATMOSPHERE = 7 SERVICE = 10 APPEAL = 10 I’m not a hot dog fanatic, but The Philly was the best dog I’ve ever had. The quality of the meat(quarter pound) and the Hawaiian bun were spot on, on par with Dog Haus and the like, if not better. What took it over the top was the creation itself: steak, grilled veggies, and the cheesy and mayo toppings. At the time of my visit, this was priced at $ 7.50. Worth it. Each of the dogs I’ve tried were adequately filling. Haven’t ordered the chips yet but they were Deep River brand, I believe. If I’m right, this is a very good thing. Wednesdays = $ 3.50 Chili Dogs Thursdays = Combo of the day(e.g. Porky w/chips and drink for $ 7.50) The Location/Parking — This place is not only small, it’s well hidden. You can easily miss this if it’s your first time. While driving north on Brea Blvd., once you pass PK Donuts and pull up towards the white building, begin slowing down and look for parking spots along the side of the street(no meters). Don’t forget to ask for the stamp card!

I had the Porky dog and it was great! Hot dog topped with pulley pork, coleslaw, and buffalo sauce. All in a Hawaiian bread bun. A little messy but very good. Chips were good too but hopefully they get some more side options.

Otis is a great hot dog stand, without the stand. They serve hot dogs with various toppings and that’s pretty much it. The quality of the hot dogs are excellent. The hot dogs are fresh and the buns are warm and nice and soft. They offer a King’s Hawaiian bread substitute for an extra charge. The dogs are so large and loaded with toppings that it’s very difficult to eat without a knife & fork. One will satisfy most appetites and the price is very reasonable. Maybe because everything is put together to order, it takes a little longer than you’d expect to get your order, certainly when compared to somewhere like Costco. But the wait is certainly worth it.

Ain’t Nothin’ but The Dog In Me! I don’t like the parking-The place sits on a corner and I had to park down the street. I don’t like the interior-Mostly a sterile feeling and sport banners on the wall. I don’t care for the customer service. I don’t like the price. None of things are special or out of the ordinary. That doesn’t matter! What matters here is the dog. The hot dog is absolutely great! Soft buns and fresh ingredients are icing on the cake. They are serving up some juicy meat here that is full of flavor. The combinations and quality of the ingredients work well together to make a well crafted hot dog. Cali-Dog-5 Stars This is a «crafted» dog for sure. Great quality hot dog with fresh ingredients and make sure you ask for extra jalapeños. I would order this again. Mac n Cheese Dog– 5 Stars! ~The little one loved it. I liked it, too. I am leaving this as a bookmark so that I can make sure I stop by again when I am in the area. Sooo good! Otis Dogs, Brea. another reason the OC is the best place to live!

Food: I had the chili dog and the NY hot dog. The chili dog was pretty good, very good chili. The NY hot dog, I was not into, the sauerkraut, as it really overpowers the flavor of the hot dog. One hot dog is actually pretty filling. I believe they steam the hot dogs while they slightly toast the buns. Food rating: 4⁄5 Service: Quick turn around service, order food and find a seat to munch on your hot dogs. Service: 3.5÷5 Price: Expect to pay about under $ 10 per dog. Overall: I enjoyed my food plus the food came out pretty quick.
