Came here at lunch time around 11:30 and it was busy with a lot of working professionals. The line was about a 5 minutes wait. While I was standing around, there were a few hand held menus I looked through. Since it was my first time, I thought I’d ask some of the folks around me who seem to have been there before what they’d recommend and they told me to get a wrap. I opted for the falafel veggie wrap as well as the fried zucchini. I ordered at the counter and the servers were pleasant and friendly. They seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and that’s always a good sign. They gave me my number and I was seated. Within about 5 minutes, I got my food and the presentation was well done. I was so excited to see my side of roasted veggies were incredible! I’m a nut for well done vegetables and they had a nice assortment. They included asparagus, red and green bell pepper, carrots, red onion, and zucchini. WOW. Plus points for that. Wrap: awesome. Roasted veggie sides: best ever. Fried zucchini: stellar. All in all, this place was fantastic and a notch above all other mediterranean places I’ve been to. I’d highly recommend people eating here. Great value for your money. Excellent food and great service.

A+++ on the food. Service is fast, just be prepared and read the menu in line while waiting so you know what to order. They don’t take reservations, seating is limited, we went on a Saturday night and we got a decent table. We both had the Mythos Beer(amazing), 1 entrée plate Salmon, Basmati Rice and Roasted Potatoes, my hubs had Build A Wrap classic Gyro and a side of Olivada and appetizer of Spanakopites. Delish! Food was served beautifully on the plate and hot! The staff are all very nice, and come by to see if you are enjoying your meal and another gentlemen was cleaning tables and making the dining area impeccably clean. It was my first time, I always wanted to get in but the first come first serve tables and the line kind of scared us away, glad we came in and we will definitely come back especially now that we know when the down time is. :)

Had the entrée plate with lamb. The lamb was so guuuudd! Had a chicken kabob as well, but the chicken was dry and was not to my liking. Their basmati rice was bomb and their sauce is one of the best I’ve ever tried! The view from the restaurant is also nice when you go around sunset. One of the guys working here is really energetic and went around tables asking if customers needed anything. He left a good vibe, so I had to leave him some good tip(: Can’t wait to come back to try their food on their menu.

I’ve come to this location for almost 6 years and a few times to the HB location. By far I’ve enjoyed this site so much better for numerous reasons but especially the dressings in the Mediterranean salads. I’ve always enjoyed the lamb and the chicken. I do not recommend the ahi or the other fish.(Read other reviews) * highly recommend the grilled side special octopus appetizer. It’s probably one of my favorites!!! Love the staff especially the female redhead that puts all dishes together. I wish I new her name but she wears glasses. Another male redhead too. When I see them in the kitchen I know my dish(s) will be perfect. *Avoid peak times especially when you walk in and it looks full. I’ve had those times I’ve asked for my money back. Sad but true.(OR come with a pack to tackle a table while you order) *lots of parking *online orders for pickups *cork fee $ 5.00 Wednesday is the 50% off wine so that’s always nice. However I recent they removed my favorite Rodney Strong(really??) Over all I always return because of the exceptional customer service. Yes they have helped me find a table at pick times. Always very kind and so thoughtful. I’m more into the salads and the hummus side dishes. LOVE the kalimata olives and the Roman tomatoes are always perfect. I think they were homegrown(?) The cucumbers are either British or Persian I’m not sure. But I truly enjoy the selection of the vegetables. Fresh cheese and LOTS of it. I can bore you to death why every single veggie is enjoyable but trust me the homemade dressing it’s flavors are perfectly balanced. Start with the salads start with the hummus and ask for the thin bread and not the pita. Stuffed leaves are so yummo! Refreshing and light. If you stick with the veggie dishes they are full of flavor and guilt free. I love this location more so then the HB. (I do not love it when it’s packed busy for obvious reasons)

Amazing! My buddy Laura K introduced me to Olive Pit while we were hanging out in Brea the other day. It was a decision between here or Poki Monster for lunch, and we decided that Mediterranean sounded better and more filling. I’m glad we came here because the meal was delicious. However, lunch gets busy here. I had to wait in line behind a couple parties and almost all tables were filled! I like that they bring your food to you. Order and pay first, find your seat, then eat when your food comes out. Parking is not hard to find. There’s plenty in this huge shopping area. I ordered what my server recommended: seared tuna. I got it as an entrée, so it came with some pita bread and two sides. I decided on hummus and the Rocka salad, which had apple slices and pickled onion. The salad is on the acidic side, especially with the vinaigrette dressing. Their hummus is very good! I’ll be back to have more of that. The seared tuna was on the salty side. My buddy Laura’s kabobs were fantastic, she said. She chose lamb, chicken, and shrimp and ordered hummus and tzatziki for her two sides. The lamb was her favorite. I think eating here for lunch frequently would make my wallet cry, but maybe not if I learned how to portion control when I eat. The serving sizes are probably good for two meals because they are pretty generous. Their hummus will most likely bring me back though.

YUM! Olive Pit Grill is definitely a hidden gem! It is located in a big plaza on Imperial Hwy, it’s kind of hard to navigate through that plaza if it was your first time there because it is so big! I never knew there were so many restaurants in this plaza! It was a saturday afternoon and the place was packed! The line was literally out the door but it moved very fast. It was my first time here and the guy who helped us at the register was really nice and answered all our questions. My boyfriend and I ended up each getting an entrée plate. I want to say the lunch price was $ 12.95 per plate. The plate included a choice of protein and two sides. We both got different sides and proteins so we could try a little bit of everything. We got the lamb sausage and the lamb gyro. We both liked the gyro more, it was so soft and flavorful! I definitely recommend trying this! For the sides we got rice, grilled veggies, fries and hummus. The hummus is to die for! and the portions were really good. I’m so excited to come back here and try more stuff!

Always crowded with lines reaching the door, Olive Pit is a definite crowd-pleaser. Just be ready to fight that same crowd for an open table. You can build your own wrap, salad, or entrée plate and choose between one or two sides depending on your order. Simple. At Olive Pit, you order at one of the two registers and take your number to a table to wait. On a busy night you’ll search far and wide for a table to sit down and eat. There is no order to who gets the next table. Food comes out fairly quick and servers do their best to clean the tables as quickly as possible. My favorite to order, the Wrap is a sturdy whole wheat flat bread with the innards that I always stuff with Lamb Gyro. Just the right perfect amount where you won’t feel too full once you finish. On that note, the Lamb Gyro here is AMAZING. My mouth is starting to water just thinking about it. Paired well with a salad, a wrap, or with rice and hummus, you can do no wrong ordering the Gyro. The roasted half chicken kept me a bit on edge as I couldn’t tell if it was under cooked or if it was supposed to have a little pink hue. I’m still alive so it could have been the lighting. While on the other hand the Chicken and Steak Kebabs looked perfect on the outside but was definitely overcooked on the inside. Same can be said about the Lamb Sausage as no amount of green olive pesto could have brought this back to life. Dry and brittle, I thought they messed up my order and gave me an overcooked hamburger patty. When you break down each component of the entrée plate, you’re left with a sense that something is missing. Positives being the portion size, the hummus and Tzatziki sauce are just… boring. The Tzatziki sauce should have had a more potent garlic flavor and the hummus has the right consistency but lacks any flavor. But Looking at the entrée plate as a whole and add some delicious Lamb Gyro to it and you have yourself a decent meal. Did I forget to mention that they charge for Tahani sauce? Come on guys… really?! It’s not even that great either! Olive Pit is is the perfect spot if you’re in a hurry. While not the best Mediterranean food in the area, the delicious wraps, mouth watering Lamb Gyro, attentive service, and quick food delivery makes Olive Pit a no brainer.
