I went here for the first time with my husband and baby and were very pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was and how excellent the service was. Our server was great at multi-tasking because he checked up on us often without overdoing it and even spoke in a hushed tone so as to not wake the baby without us even saying anything. I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast and hubby ordered the cinnamon roll breakfast. My food was good(can’t really mess mine up) and hubs’ cinnamon roll was the best he ever had. We thought it tasted better than Cinnabon because it was just right. Hard to explain but I think it’s also the dough, it’s not chewy the way Cinnabon does theirs. I think it just tastes more homemade. The only thing hubby didn’t like was the raisins inside. I think I tasted cherries because I saw a hint of a red sauce. We will most certainly return!

I wanted to like this place as I’ve eaten here a few times over the years but when I stopped in there for dinner it looked like I’d stepped into the cafeteria at a retirement home! The menu showed a nice variety but it seems their prices had gone-up since the last time I ate there. I ordered a fish and chips combo. The fish was very greasy and the fries a bit soggy. Maybe I caught them on an off-night since other Unilocalers seem to like this place. Maybe I’ll try them for breakfast one day. I liked the mind game on the table!

Lunch at Millie’s! I ordered the turkey avocado melt on sourdough minus the cheese and the plate came with fries and I washed it down with a lemonade. Fast and delicious and I was in and out in under an hour. The interior is sorely in needed of an update, but I don’t care — the food is GOOD.

Food was good. It’s always fun to go somewhere where one person can order breakfast, one can order pie, and someone else can order dinner. Our server was pretty unattentive, and we ended up having to ask another server for a to-go container and for our check. I point out that it was just our server, because all the other servers seemed really fun and helpful. This place is definitely a staple in the Brea community.

Love the multi-grain pancakes! They have walnuts in the batter and can be served with fresh strawberries. Delicious and slightly healthier. Milli’s also has all the regular breakfast diner food.

Don’t think I’ll be back. I ordered the traditional breakfast. I think they put too much salt, otherwise food is okay service is fine. I expected better than food chains i.e. Denny’s or IHOP, but not really.

This was my first time eating here. My mans dad took us. I just wish we had one of these in Vegas. I had the ‘Cream of Potato Soup” in a bread bowl. It was soooo yummy! I never heard of Potato Soup having bell peppers in it but this one did and really complimented it nicely. When i visit Cali again I will for sure want to eat here! They have a small brain teaser game at the table and tons of tasty looking baked goods in a case on the way in/out.

We came to this Millie’s for a late breakfast, it was pretty empty and quiet wih just a few elderly couples at other tables. Our server’s name was Amanda(I think). We started off with just water, no coffee; we’re trying to save a few bucks. Norway and I both ordered omelets with country potatoes. I honestly can’t remember what my omelet had in it, but I do remember I put sour cream on top and it was yummy. I also got a bran muffin to go which was sweet and made a good addition to dinner later that day. His omelet was with cheese and bacon mainly and he also got a biscuit with gravy. When the omelets came out for us, Norway checked inside his and saw there was very little bacon inside. Like, half a slice all chopped up, and maybe even a little less then that. We got the attention of Amanda, our server, showed her the dish and asked for a little more bacon on top; Norway didn’t care if it was a whole new omelet, just some more bacon. Amanda took the food to the kitchen and everyone could hear her scolding the cook for skimping so much on the bacon. He ended up making a new one with a huge pile of hot bacon on it. Great! We had a good experience here, but I don’t think we’ll try to come out of our way to come back unless it’s for a late breakfast. But good choice! Always consistently pleasant, just nothing special.

My family and I love the breakfast here at Millie’s. They have all the usual breakfast items but the standout is their giant cinnamon roll. It came out nice and warm with loads of icing and raisins on top. You can tell it hasn’t been sitting out somewhere. I also tried the multi-grain pancake with the low calorie syrup. It was actually really good and it had lots of small walnut pieces in it too for an extra crunch. The service is friendly and very efficient. The décor is definitely dated but I’m not here for the embiance. We went there on a Saturday morning around 10 and was seated right away. By the time we left around 11, it was packed. So, go early.

My husband and I have been to Millie’s a few times and every time(breakfast only) it has been BUSY! We come on the weekends so that is understandable. We’ve never waited too long so it’s okay. The food is good. I’ve never had anything bad. I especially like the chicken fajita omelette. The last server we had, Heather C, was amazing. The place was crazy busy but our coffee cups were never empty and we were never forgotten. So thank you Heather C for helping to start our day off right. We’ll be back for sure!

My guy and I have been coming here for quite a long time. The food and service have always been really good. It’s a favorite place we go to when we cant agree on any place else to go, or when we’re craving something they have… especially their Crispy Potato Dippers or their Cream of Chicken and Wild Rice Soup. Deeeelicious. Other favorites of mine: Chicken Quesedilla Southwest Chicken Salad Flatbread Chicken Fajita Taco’s Grilled Monte Cristo Sandwich Grilled Tilapia w/Lemon Picatta Sauce Ham and Cheese Omlette. My guy is a massive fan of their Strawberry Shakes. Its comfy, it’s homey, it’s pretty darn cheap. And they put those brain teaser puzzles on every table that get you good and pissed off before your meal arrives. Especially when my guy beats me at them every time…

Okay place for breakfast. Felt like eggs and potatoes this morning so we went to Millies. We had the morning round up– two bacon strips or sausage, two eggs, and large buttermilk. We also got the waffle combo which had the same things except it came with a waffle. We also got a side of hash browns and coffee, of course! The pancakes were okay but the waffle was better. The bacon was okay but the sausage was better. The best part of the meal was this game on the table called, The Original IQ Test. That says a lot about the game and, unfortunately, about the food. Good place for breakfast if you don’t feel like cooking. Nothing spectacular.

Went looking for an early-afternoon lunch near the Brea Mall, and all the staples(Olive Garden. BJ’s Pizza, Cheesecake Factory, and Red Lobster) had lines waiting outside for seating. We walked right into Millie’s and got very nice comfortable booth seating. The menu selection is broad, and the service is very good. Servers checked on us regularly and refilled water, etc., without us having to ask. I had the club sandwich(turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato — $ 8.99), which normally comes with fries or cole slaw, or onion rings at 69 cents extra, but our server also offered fresh fruit as a choice, so I took that. The sandwich was great(packed high with lots of everything), and the fresh fruit(slices of canteloupe, orange, and apple) was terrific and cut for easy eating. My partner had the BYOB(Build Your Own ½ Pound Burger — $ 8.99), and opted for a wheat bun, veggie burger, swiss cheese and sauteed mushroom toppings, and thousand island dressing(on the side). She went with the fries as her side dish. Her only complaints were that she wanted more of the mushrooms and that the fries were kind of nondescript. Our server quickly and happily brought her a big side bowl of additional dressing at her request at no additional cost. I also had a chocolate shake($ 3.99). Millie’s makes shakes fresh using real ice cream, with a bit of whipped cream to top it off, and it was very delicious! My partner had the iced tea, which she enjoyed as «good.» Tables, floors, walkways, bathrooms, etc., were all nice and clean and well maintained. Staff were attentive and always positive and helpful. The ambient noise level was low, and we were able to carry on our conversation without raising our voices or worrying if neighboring tables could overhear us. This is a very comfortable place to eat. Overall, a very positive experience. As some reviewers have noted, Millie’s is kind of an «upscale» version of Denny’s or Norm’s, but the prices are still quite reasonable. I have no doubt we’ll stop by again when the opportunity presents itself.

A nicer than standard diner, matched with a good menu selection. Service has always been great here, the coffee always served hot, and the menu offers something for everyone — all made tasty. The funny thing is that as long as we have been coming here, the servers have never changed. I like that. It’s nice to see familiar, efficient, friendly servers in a nice family-style restaurant, serving hot tasty food.

More like 3.5 stars, but I feel like being generous. If you want to know what Millie’s is like, imagine a higher quality IHOP or Denny’s. They had all kinds of American style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It seemed to be reasonably priced. I got the Ranch Hand which is two pancakes, two sausages, two strips of bacon, and two eggs. I also got a side of hash browns. Everything tasted good and the portions were big. What made me give this place a 4 rather than a 3 is that we were seated pretty fast despite being crowded, the food was fast, the coffee cup never made it past half way without being filled up, the menu is large, and the place looked clean and kept. PS — This looks to be a place that senior citizens love, so if you are 55+ and looking for a good brunch spot, Millie’s is a go.

I came back to Millie’s for some breakfast… it was a Tuesday morning that I came, and the place wasn’t overly crowded, but there was a good amount of senior citizens eating away and reading the paper. Good coffee… and my cup was never even half way empty before they would fill it up again! Keep the coffee coming! We had the banana stuffed french toast of some sort… it was super sweet, super good as usual. Also I ordered the Country Bowl for only $ 3.99, they have daily breakfast specials… and it was perfect, a decent size too! This place seems to be pretty consistant with giving me good breakfast. I am never disappointed.

Kind of a weird place for this Millie’s but it’s great. Their décor is super Traditional American and makes you feel like you just got home. Their pies in the front display make your mouth drool(and it’s affordable — small personal pies for only $ 4) and makes you want to get right through your meal to get down and dirty with the desserts. Their menu is the traditional stuff that you would see anywhere, omlettes, steak and eggs, sandwiches, etc… I ordered a sandwhich was was very pleased with it. If I ever wake up extra early and hungry I would LOVE to go in for their early bird specials — they are cheap and sound absolutely delish.

It is a great place to get some decent food at a normal price and the portions are generous. It doesn’t completely price gouge you and you can relax and enjoy for a moment with out as much screaming and craziness of nearby wound up children on the crack called Disney. They have table games to play while you wait for your food too which helps keep yourself or the little ones entertained.
