Despite the description of this place by Unilocal!,it’s not fast food. The servers expect tips. We were in Branson for a couple of nights and recalled that we had not been to a Shoney’s in years. We’d visited a few in Central Florida and remembered it was a good deal and a good time. So, we went. The place wasn’t packed for breakfast, yet most of the tables were unoccupied but still dirty from the previous diners. The servers were also the hostesses and the cashiers so they were running around a lot. We were seated and opted for the $ 8.99 buffet. Standard fare and unlimited bacon! Next to the grits, biscuits and gravy there were also mac and cheese, chicken tenders and nacho cheese. There was a salad bar with chocolate pudding. I always wondered why pudding was on a salad bar. Someone research that and get back to me, OK? The service was good and the food was just OK. It was Shoney’s. What do you expect? I was better than the $ 8 buffet at the Welk Resort, I’ll tell you that right now! Anyway, stop in if you want. I won’t know if you do or not, so I’ll just remain indifferent to your choice. Pros: Good price, wide selection of breakfast items(go at 10:30am and you’ll also get the lunch buffet) Cons: Soft drinks are extra; lots of very old and awkwardly mobile people

This place is super good! We stopped here after a morning of fishing(around 11) and there was no wait. The place was busy, but the tables are spaced out enough that it didn’t feel crowded. The waitress we had was super friendly and got us refills fast. We had the breakfast/brunch Buffett which was $ 9.99/person. Which is a really great deal! The buffet food was delicious. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like and it had a good variety. I will come here again and suggest it for anyone else wanting good food in Branson!

What an incredible experience!!! The buffet didn’t currently have fries or fried okra and that’s what we wanted and the very sweet waitress brought some out to us with no hesitation and was very happy to do so. Their fish was pretty good and their okra was AWESOME!!! Very good experience!!!

Lots of fried foods. Don’t get the salad with salmon, the salmon is under-cooked.

Good service. But. We had the buffet… The food was bland, and did not look appetizing. On the flip side, I saved myself some calories because I couldn’t eat much of the food. Our server was very nice and attentive though.

We ate the breakfast buffet on our last day in Branson before heading home. What can I say? It’s SHONEY’S!!! We LOVE Shoney’s!!! We haven’t been in several years because all of the ones around where we live have closed down. The one in Branson was SOOOOO good!!! Piles of Bacon and sausage and pancakes!!! Oh and the the biscuits and white gravy YUM!!! We will be back for the breakfast buffet next time we’re in Branson! Oh and the SWEETTEA!!! This was the ONLY place in Branson that I did NOT have to add sugar to my tea!!! Y’all KNOW how to make sweet tea the RIGHT way!!! Loved it!!! The waitress was an older lady she was very friendly and kept the tea a comin’!!! Awesome service and food!!! GOEAT and eat and eat lol!!! #orderthesweetteaitstherealdeal

Visited this location for the first time and was impressed. They offered both buffet and menu, we choose buffet. Items on the buffet were fresh and attended to frequently. Plates were cleared from our table fast and drinks refiled consistently. Would go back and recommend.

I mean… it’s shoneys! I have been so sad that all the locations in st. louis closed while I was still young. I craved the French Toast sticks. So imagine the joy I had when I went to branson this past weekend(Feb 7 – 8) and saw the only one in Missouri. Oh it was just like I remembered! The French Toast sticks, the eggs, the sausage and the everything! Lol. My taste buds were in heaven. Our waitress Jackie was awesome too! Just the right amount of friendly and very prompt. The service and the atmosphere in general was very nice and made u feel right at home. I definitely know I’ll be coming back on my next branson visit!

Wide variety of good, traditional southern food on buffet. Extremely reasonably priced. Well worth a try in an area with many good restaurants.

This restaurant doesn’t deserve a two-star reputation. It does not, however, warrant a four-star review. The food is ok, not the best but not bad. I had some ribs from the buffet that had some bone slivers in it but the flavor was good. They have a great selection for salad ingredients. They also have a low carb selection for people on that diet. The problem, however, was the 45 minute wait for the food ordered from the menu by a few in our party. Given the kitchen struggles with orders I would recommend just getting the buffet. I also visited the restrooms and would recommend to management a bit more frequent cleanings, I’m a stickler for that sort of thing. Otherwise it’s a nice place to eat. Fix those problems and I’d easily give a 4 star review.

Wish I could give a negative score on this place. My daughter got a piece of chicken on the buffet, which had FEATHERSONIT! The kitchen staff sure should have noticed this and spared us from seeing that. GROSS! Ruined my appetite. The waitress was apologetic, but the assistant manager was very rude! I should have refused to pay.

My father and I stopped in here because, even though we were in Branson and could have ANY kind of food we wanted, we thought most(if not all) of the Shoney’s had closed. Turns out all the Shoney’s in Missouri have closed. This location is corporate owned and also a new-build since a tornado took out the old one. We opted for the buffet since it had some breakfast as well as some lunch items on the bar. Food was pretty good and much like I remember from the late 80s when I last frequented Shoney’s on a regular basis. Our server was super friendly and even joined in on some good-natured ribbing of my father who totally deserved it. Decent food, friendly staff, new building. Skip Denny’s next time and come here.
